iolitefire I aree, using the words in moderation is key. I'm honest, when someone spits out a post that has a cuss word for every other word, I don't take the post as seriously. Using a curse word to exclaim disbelief is fine, its a good disply of human emotion...but when people cuss everywhere, it makes it look like they just trying to get attention. Like a 7th grader mentality. Ah... 7th graders don't know how to swear right. They just don't have the finesse required.

Pageantry sweatdrop Oops. Sorry about that. Sorry if I offended you. But, you have to admit that there are topics that show up in the GD that have little to no actual intelligent discussion or debate. The same can be said about any board.

You remind me of a guy I talked to a while ago. He was campaigning to become Emperor of the ED.

You know clean them up so that they look like the way they used to.

KilledbyKarma EN GARDE!!! I...am completely in awe of that emoticon. I'm stealing it. And you can't stop me. But "It's OK, I'm a ninja." (I'm actually currently wearing that shirt. I win.) Oh, and I'm pretty sure I signed that "Save the ED" petition. But I might not have.

Ever since early '04 there hasn't been much change in GD except for the trends.

Ever since early '04 there hasn't been much change in GD except for the trends. The ED isn't quite as bad as the GD. I like to think the GD is equal parts Chatterbox and ED. We still get trolls, spammers, and just plain morons in the ED, but there are enough people there to tell them to shut the hell up and leave. Unfortunately, it's about as trendy as the GD. Trendy, meaning following trends. Now it's..."I hate Bush," "I hate homo/heterosexuals," and "OMG have you heard about____? I hate them! That's stupid!" I usually lurk in the Sociology & Psychology subforum the most, with small excursions to the Science & Tech.

I can half understand if people get offended because you call them a ******** b***h or something, but to be offended just because you hear the word ********? It's ridiculously stupid. Words are only words and only have what power you allow them to have.

Like a 7th grader mentality. I agree fully. But also to me (because of my sensative nature and G rating) hearing the f-bomb is like having a pick-axe drivin into my ear. That's just a personal preference. Now as to the guild, as iolitefire has already said, everything in moderation.
