We have one captian and two co-captians. I like them. They're really good, they keep the guard in line, they try to help us get better, they bring donuts the day of competitions, etc. xd Except the captian can kind of be irritating at times. We got first place at last night's competition, and all she did was ramble on about how we didn't deserve it. neutral

Well last year I was captain and the co-captain was 100% b***h. She never did anything and I had make sure everything went well. She didn't get along with some people on the line and looked at me when something went wrong. I'm so glad she graduated.

My freshman and sophomore years our captain was the nicest, most awesome girl ever. Then she graduated and there was drama so my junior year we had two captains and one of them quit because she couldn't learn to share authority. Then senior year we had a girl who was nice but thought that since I was the only guy on guard, the only reason I was there was to rape them all or something.... She sure as hell didn't trust me and talked to me like I was five years old.

we had 2 captains this year. i hated one and loved the other.
the one i hated slept around alot and thought everyone else was her servant girls and would brag about the guys she was with. she was a horrible person. a terrible example for others to follow.
the other was much better. fun to hang around with and knew the limits of what to do and say during practice. she helped us out when we needed it and gave even punishment for everyone.
next year i'm going to be captain because both are leaving with one of my good friends and honestly i'm really excited about it because we both have the same ideas about how to deal with things and i love my guardies. smile

i don't like anyone in the guard that isn't my friend(friends in the guard: around 5) i really don't like the guard captains and the teacher person. They allways yell and are angry. They allways put stress on the other guard members and they also are quite loud. YEAH, i don't like them

My friend Jess was the Captain and I was Co-Captain this year...we did pretty good.but our instructor seemed to love me and hate her....doesn't make any sense...Jess had more guard experience so yeah lol

I am a captain and my Guardies love me as much as I love them.(or else) They're lucky they get to have the same captain for 3 years thanks to us having no seniors until next year (I don't want to leave they can't make me!)

i hate our cap. she is really bitchy. this year she told me that i had outburst issues and need to work on them. when every half minute she is talking to somone about hings unrelated to guard while our instructor is speaking. then at practice she asked me if i was gay and i screamed at her. i later appologized to the other girls for disrupting practice but not to her. i really think i could do a way better job as captain than her.

I switched schools after my fresmen year b/c a new school opened in my district and I got rezoned to the new school. And fishy year the captains weren't so bad (we had 3) The main on was a complete sucked up but the other two the co-caps were great and did everything right. Then my sophomore year we didn't have one and that was a disaster we had 10 people on the guard and only 1 follower. Then this year our captain SUCKS She does not have an leadership qualities whatsoever and very rarely tells the guard what to do, if she does its only because recently either the band or guard directors has yelled at her for not getting on our cases. And not only that she plays favorites and never tells her friends when they are doing the work wrong but if your a certain person you get told your doing something wrong even if your not. I'm one of those people and out of the guard I'm in the top 3 as best spinners and dancers. (my only problem is i tend to go a little fast). Also she doesn't understand what a leader should do its like our guard room is a disaster and no one rolls up their flags and she never tells them too. And she lets others (aka her friends) tell her what to do. It sucks, its like the worst situation to be in b/c almost everyone has an issue w/ her to some level and there's so much drama!!

I think my captain is alright. We have 2, and one is really friendly, but the other isn't quite as much. Not bad, though.

i like our captian, this year we only had 10 girls in guard but last year we had like 20 so everyone was trying to out shine each other plus last year we had like 5 captians!!!! it was hard with 1 person telling u to do it like this and another person telling you to do it the other way... it was AWFUL!

My guard captain left the guard. u___u So we lack one. But now the three executive leaders (Sabre captain, Equipment Manager, and Rifle Captain) share the position.

AGH!
the captain in my sophmore year was the worst!!!!
she was good at guard and stuff but she had so much emotional baggage and she would dump it all on us
and i was in rifle line with her and she would always just let us chill and talk (i was all for that for a while but then we started to suck because of it)
she just wasnt prepared at all
she wanted to be our friend not our captain
