DISMAL FATE get gorillaz OUT of the emo section now i will NOT have one of the best animation bands ever tarnished under the fake false new goth sub genre that is a MASSIVE steriotype !
for future reference they are officialy (as said by themselves as)

i like the killers new jam as well. i gotta say "when you were young" was being replayed everyday for like a month or so!
i saw that video/heard that song (smile from lily allen) for the first time yesterday. good song, hilarious vid! man, id never do that, i mean she went pretty far, but it was good nonetheless.
lady sovereign does have a good album. well the songs ive heard are the s**t. random and hoodie are some of my faves. XD
just jack- hehe never heard of him (maybe cuz im on the other side of hte pond) but he reminds me of a will and grace episode i saw yesterday as well.
@JC: oh actually i dont know if they have that song or not. i was just confuzed. i know what you are talking about with the garden state song, but i havent really heard it much to recognize it.
I wanna go to seattle. it looks so pretty (from movies/car...naturally)

it's a good song if you like indie means pop.
Seattle is a cool city, sometimes it can get rather buisy but all in all it's a nice place to live ^^

I have the Killers' Hot Fuss CD. I think it's okay. The songs that made it to the radio were definitely the best songs on the CD... Edit: I've been listening to the CD again, and it's much better than what I remembered. ^^
And~ I listened to bits of their new CD in the store. It sounded good. I didn't feel like spending any money at the time, so I didn't get it. I might buy it the next time I feel like spending money. XD;;

They said that it would rock but that's such a sophmoric attitude I didn't really take it to mind. I neeeed it though.

Metric? Alternative >.> <.< that's as vege as it gets ^^; Dancemusic type. I can't really discribe it.

So~~ I'll have more to say tomorrow.
As for my current obsession... I can't stop listening to Fall Out Boy's CD "From Under the Cork Tree." It's basically an... emo punk rock type CD I guess. I'm not good with the whole classifyng music into the right genres thing. It is a pretty tough thing to classify bands these days. I mean, I hear Fall Out Boy is punk rock... but I have a very distinct memory of what punk sounds like. Like... I thought Rancid was punk, you know? Old AFI was pretty punk-like. But if I have to classify Fall Out Boy, I simply wouldn't know how. I didn't think they were Emo-like. I'm not even sure Emo can exist as a sound anyways heh. In any case, Fall Out Boy sounds pretty decent to me. My friend Andrew always has me listening to them. He's pretty adamant about having a large musical... uh... pallette of sorts. So I end up listening to what he listens to a lot. Oh, oh... Panic at the Disco is a good band. Apparently before they got big they never actually played an actual show. Not sure that's 100% true but thats what a friend told me. Panic seems to be a pretty big fad these days. Fad or not though, they sound great.
^__^ Yeah. So do you end up listening to a variety of different types of music then?
I~ listen to pretty much everything but rap. But lately I sure have been leaning t'wards the groups that sound like Fall Out Boy... or songs with drums in them.
Yeah, I'm now the proud owner of a PATD CD. I like it. I'll have to check out those other CDs you listed too. x]
And~ I wish I had limewire or some other downloading program to listen to that l'arc en ciel song, Blaiz. D: But sadly, I don't. u.u
And~ that's quite a list, DismalFate. I like songs from most of the groups you've listed, so I'll be sure to check out the groups that I don't recognize. And props for including Queen. I definitely went through a phase a while ago where I kept listening to their songs over and over~~
I usually only like two or three songs from any artist/group so I'll make a list and post some songs later. ^^ They'll mostly be.. punk rock-ish I suppose because, as I said before, that's my current obsession. ^^;;I do tend to listen to a lot of different kinds of music but it's really on occasion. Like there are times where I'll be sitting in a Starbucks with some friends and they'll be playing something like jazz. Sometimes I can't resist the beat. The drums get me too. I'll just about listen to any song as long as some part of it catches me. PATD is a fantastic band and I hear they're going to be (or may already have) releasing some new material. And I honestly can't wait to hear what they have. It's been a while since I've been back on, but I'll do a little blurb for you all right now! The Muse (or just Muse) is actually a very good band that I listen to. They're somewhat of a rock music band. Not sure I can call them punk at all. I suggest their CDs 'Showbiz' or 'Absolution' (gotta double check the name on that absolution cd). They have a newer CD then that out at the moment. It's very epic sounding. A lot of bands are into that at the moment. In any case, I'm not extremely interested in that latest CD. But it's still worth looking up.

Oulixeus-in relation to MUSE , yeah i have their new album it isnt as good as some of he other and i get what you mean about some of the epic stuff especiually with knights of cydonia its basically a rhapsody smile

My latest sing-songs have been Criss Angel's Soundtrack. I dunno if anybodys has seen his show, but yea... I can conclude that's where all the music comes from, and all the songs he wrote himself. He's great in performing!
