Well, my band has a lead singer, but shes only 15, and I dont wanna have to go to jail for anything like that sweatdrop I do have a girl I have been with for almost 3 years now. But she would never get in the way of any of my bass gigs/practices/playing. She understands that though. sweatdrop

While setting up for a friend's gig, I fell backwards off the stage into a cab case. That's how I found out I could fit in one with the lid closed.

Oh, and then there was that time when my hair got caught on a tuning peg while I was headbanging, and going the other way I ripped out a chunk.

If nothing else, Blood is very Metal.

Hello, Gene Simmons of the new century, maybe?

lol Very true. Although I wouldn't go as far as aspiring to be this century's Gene Simmons in that aspect...

about a year back... my old band had a gig... a small backyard show, nothing special. So we drive for about and hour and a half in traffic... and it starts to rain... not cool.

We were the first band there... and the only ones on time! So naturally we thought we could set up in the garage, where the bulk of the show was gonna be.... little did we know that the host of the show was a complete and utter jack@$$ and didnt let us set up in the garage... instead, we played in a shack next to the garage, no bigger than a garbage can...

so now our good friend the rain, he makes a visit in a shocking way... my outlet wasn't grounded, and for those who studied chem or physics; water + electricity = a bad time... i kept feeling little zaps off my strings when i played and my mic wasnt grounded either... so i felt the static off the mic when i sang, giving me little shocks every so often...

which brings me to my next low point... our singer was in Mexico... and i didnt know until a day before the show. So i frantically learned most of the lyrics and tried my best... sadly i forgot the lyrics to one of our songs.

the show was HORRIBLE... every other band played in the safety of the garage and the crowd could see them better.... they had to see us through several windows and a doorway... not much of a stage, huh?

the band split a few days after the show...

I guess the worst experiance for me is the fact that I have NO experiance.
I would take all of those horrible moments over just sitting here in my living room playing basslines on my own. ._.

My boyfriend went on tour one time.... and forgot his bass!! haha i still dont know to this day how he actually managed to leave it at home. Anyway he got to the venue whish was about 2 hours drive away and realised he hadnt got it, so just went to a local music shop and bought himself a new one. He got a 4 string (although he plays 6) but he had been after getting one anyway because he gives bass lessons and sometimes the people get confused when he shows them what to play with a 6 string. He also blew his amp on that tour aswell... wasnt very lucky sweatdrop

Not Bass related, but my Drummer left all his cymbals (7-8 of them) About an hour away, with us playing in an hour.

I wasn't riding with him, but supposedly he did a solid 100 MPH all the way home.

Im gonna guess he didnt make it on time. Doing the math on that... Its impossible to do 2 hours of a trip in 1 hour with a car... Unless you have some sort of passage from God himself... But good luck without that!

not a gig (sadly and surprisingly never had one) but the whole band experiance in general.
1)I'll start by saying everyone in the band is a bunch of lazy @$$es. We have brilliant ideas and are more talented than most other local bands where we live (not saying much all others suck minus maybe one player).
2)We recorded once was going to put it on our site but the guy with the song recorded never got it up, I want to kick his a** so bad it got friends hopes up of hearing us and the such.
3)We are trying though (mostly me and the guitarist) but some things keep preventing us from making it. The singer is to lazy to come up with lyrics, the drummer has yet to acctually buy his own pair of drums and might not be able to come to the singer and guitarist's basement to play (brothers) because the dad might be racist.

Sounds like an amazing band... Your gonna have to get your stuff together before you can expect to do ANYTHING with a group like that. Everyone is going to have to put forth effort, or when it comes to show time, your gonna be posting an entry in this thread every time!!!
