Oblivion jerked to a halt at that question, her eyes glowing bright red at the thought of being broken. 'I have no plans of being broken. And the shoes are mine.' She replied coldly, backing away from the child again. No matter how tasty the clock might be, she didn't want to be broken for her shoes!
Ice glanced around, following April's eyes and registering the same question. How could so many Forgotten and Daemons appear so conveniently in one place? Were they looking for their family as well? "I should be putting up the fliers." She said abruptly, pulling out a pile of papers from her purse and looking around for a tree to hang it on.
She only had one picture of Kitsu, she thought with a bit of hesitance as she headed for a nearby wooden slat on the gate that blocked them from the dump. And it wasn't so good. But it would have to do.
The flier said "Missing, one mute taur child with three tails and a horn. Answers to the name of Kitsumai. Reward offered: 15k"

Desperate crunched off through the snow, sad he didn't have shoes, but happy that Nisha wouldn't get to break anything today. He could feel her rage rising through their bond, and ignored it as best he could.
Trotting instead toward the woman with the picture, Desperate turned one beady black eye to the flier and raised his trunk. Was it story time? He tugged on Ice's sleeve questioningly, ears flapping against the cold.
Nisha, in the meanwhile, watched the toy drift away. What had Desperate said?! Little hands balling into fists, Nisha grabbed a handful of snow and hurled it at Oblivion's retreating back. Stupid toy!
-Not a toy- Desperate responded absently. -Daemon-
Stupid Daemon!

Izumi lifted her head up from the ground, blinking once, then twice as she turned her bi-colored eyes up to the boy now crouching by her. She'd never seen him before, and immediately wondered if he was one of her many brothers that she hadn't met yet. She nodded before wiggling up onto her knees, brushing some of the powder off her face and hair before smiling.
"Okie!" she said with an even bigger grin, which faded as her wonderment look took over again. His eyes... they were like hers! "Mahee?"
She pointed a glove at his face, then pointed to her own.

Walter blinked, then grinned, shoving his thumb at his chest. "Walter. Forgotten." He said, having not a clue that she thought he might be her brother. "Like you!"
Ice glanced at the elephant, smiling slightly. "It's a picture of my daughter. She's missing." She explained. "So I'm trying to find her."

Wal...ter. Forgot...ten. She could remember that.
"W.... Waaaa... Waaaaaaaal'er," Izumi got out, looking up a little bit as if that would help her decide if that was correct. "Wal'er!!"
Yes. That was correct.
"Eeeee... Eeeeeeeeeeeee...." Now, if she could just tell him her name. "Ee... mee! Eemee."
"Izumi!" Domonic called out, finally noticing the two in the snow. "Ah, there you are. I thought I lost you."
The small girl looked over her shoulder at the man approaching, smiling again. Oh good, he found her! Wait. Did that mean she had to leave? Looking back to Walter, she paused for a moment before crawling behind him, pressing her finger to her lips as if to motion for him to be quiet. Maybe Daddy wouldn't notice she was hiding!
The blonde man merely raised a brow as he saw this, his pale blue eyes staring down at the children as he stopped, contemplating whether or not to say anything. He wasn't trying to make her leave... but he did want to know that she would be safe.
"Um... excuse me," he finally started, deciding to play along. "Have you seen my daughter?"

Walter shook his head, grinning angelically. "Nope! I haven't!" He lied through his teeth. "What she look like?"
'Probably looks a lot like the girl hiding behind you.' Oblivion commented, still keeping a wary eye on Nisha. Could she be broken? Did she want to find out was the real question. And the answer was most emphatically, no.

"Weeeell, she's wearing a lot of white, so she's a bit camoflauged in all this snow," he explained, pretending to think about things for a moment. "Cute little white pigtails, mismatched eyes, little button nose... Hard to miss her, really."
Relentless poked its head out of the bush, wondering what was taking the girl so long to find him. He swore she was still following him when he hid, but that was at least 5 minutes ago. Did she get lost?

Walter turned and looked at Izumi for a long moment before turning back to grin at the adult. "Sorry!" He said before taking Izumi's hand and whispering, "Wanna go play?"

"Okay, well... thanks anyway," Domonic laughed, continuing on his way to find a bench. Resting would be good... He'd been chasing that girl around most of the day, anyway.
Watching her guardian leave, Izumi looked back to Walter and nodded quickly, giggling a little bit at the trick they played. Walter was good at that game!
"Pay watt?" she asked, curious as to what the boy might have had in mind. She didn't really know of any games yet, save for hide and seek.

"Sliding!" Walter said, pointing to the jungle gym with a grin. "Try it, it's fun!" He said as he led her to the slide. He wished Xana could have come, but this wasn't bad! His eyes ran over the group, taking in the elephant, and the girl almost asleep next to the swings. Lots of pretty ladies!
'I hate this.' Oblivion said darkly, feeling the cold make her metallic skin feel brittle. Next time she was going to take the coat Jade offered, too.

Izumi studied the ladder for a moment, wondering what she was supposed to do at first. If the bars were like steps, she must need to climb it. Taking hold of the sides, she began to climb up the ladder, trying not to slip off it.
One foot, two foot. One foot, two foot.
The ladder wasn't that tall, so it didn't take too long to get to the top, crawling onto the small platform right in front of the slope. Izumi blinked a few times as she looked down the slide, a bit wary of the snow covering it and the pile that was resting at the bottom. After thinking about it, she turned around to look down at the boy, wondering if he would be coming up as well.

Nisha watched the boy, the metal toy, AND the girl wander away. Even Desperate was somewhere else! Suddenly, overwhelmingly, she wanted Declan. At least she was USED to being ignored by him! Taking a shuddering breath, and another, Nisha began to cry with suspiciously dry eyes. This wasn't fun at all!
Desperate was too interested in the flier to comfort his girl, sniffing at the paper curiously. Was it an invitation? A birthday card, perhaps? The Daemon danced from foot to foot, trumpeting suddenly. He LOVED birthdays!!
Elle heard the noise from a block away, wincing at the racket. Picking up the pace a bit, she hurried back into the snow covered park. A shallow box was packed with smallish cups, each steaming through the tiny holes in the plastic lids. On top of the array of cocoas were cookies, individually wrapped, just as requested.
It appeared she was just in time. "Nisha! No crying till after your cocoa!" She raised her voice in the same pleasant tone as before, letting her offer carry to those assembled. "Come and get one, if you'd like! Ask your mommy or daddy first if you're supposed too!"
Not everyone seemed to have a mommy or a daddy present, though. Lifting one from the tray with her free hand, Elle offered it to April from a distance, smiling through her plumes of breath. The girl looked a bit shy, compared to the animated youngsters!

Ice jumped at the trumpeting, her eyes wide with shock. She had forgotten that animal like daemons could make sounds like that! Or had she ever known? She was too startled to answer that question.
Walter was already halfway up the slide steps. "Go on! I knocked most of it away earlier." He told the little girl, glancing over at the lady with the snackage worriedly. He hoped she didn't give it all away while they were sliding!

Izumi turned herself around and took a seat on the platform, just now realizing how cold it was. Okay, all she had to do was go down? That didn't seem too hard... Edging her way to the slope, she leaned over a little bit to see past her feet...
...and she was off. Her coat allowed her to slip down the slide fairly quickly, the little girl giving out a shriek as she flew, noticing that this only made things colder. Once she was at the bottom, her small form happened to fall right off, right back into the snow, her little hands grasping tightly onto her arms.
She blinked a few times before giggling happily. That was FUN!! Where was Relentless? Izumi had to show her little bird this game!
The hummingbird daemon was instead eying the drink the woman was carrying by the fussy child. That girl... how peculiar. And that metal beast? Odd indeed. Unless they too shared that special bond he did with the rabbit brat... It was time to investigate.
Quickly flitting out of the bush, the blue and lavander bird began to hum around Nisha, eying her cautiously as he inspected what he needed to.

Tom felt that Otium needed to get out. The boy's mother had not been in the mood. The very charming italian man escorted the boy, just walking and chatting, and he enjoyed that Otium's fashion sense let him get a little dressed up without being overdressed.
Otium, of course, was much too overdressed for a playground. He had on a long black wool coat overtop of a black pinstripe suit (with a waistcoat and bright gold pocketwatch). His top hat was perched on top of his head and he'd stuck a golden snak shaped pin into the band in some sort of relation to his missing brother. His hands were in black leather gloves and he walked with a wooden cane with golden handle.
For the young age of the boy, he was tall and thin and he held himself much more properly than a child should. HIs barely blue eyes stood well out on a monotone child in such a white surrounding as the snow covered park. His daemon was almost invisible in the powder but countered his somber countenance with something just short of exhuberant joy.
The growing bearcat rooted about with her nose and flipped snow behind her with her sweeping tail and left a twice wider path in her wake.
Otium saw the crowd and looked for familiar faces.
Tom looked for attractive men.
