Arani thought as she secured her bag, tying it closed carefully. "I haven't been in a beyblade championship since the Bladebreakers beat us their second year as champs...." she mused. She looked up, and it finally clicked. She jumped up in surprise, nearly knocking her bag into the fountain. "You're that American kid on the Bladebreakers!" she yelled automatically.

The courtyard turned to stare at the noise. Arani sweatdropped. "Hehehe.... Oops...."

Kai froze. He looked over at the girl who had yelled and moved his gaze to contemplate the boy he'd written off a a poor imitation of his team mate.

The blonde still hadn't turned around but now, with his more in depth study of the boy, Kai began to see what his cursory glance had missed. Things such as the way the blonde held himself, the slight tilt of his head. Things no fanboy could imitate exactly.

"Max?" He asked.

~

Alex threw his bag on to his new bed, noting that his room mate had already unpacked. He shrugged and looked at his suitcase disdainfully.

"I'll fix it later." He said quietly to himself before exiting the room. He'd have plenty of time later in the day.

The moment Arani mentioned his own team, it came to him, just exactly who she was. It was a bit dumb from his own part not to remember her; he usually didn't forget anyone and had often made friends with people he both won and lost against.

He was going to say that; that he was starting to remember her. But apparently, he didn't get the chance to, as she was much quicker at mentioning who he was. A bit shocked and embarassed, he gave the rest of the courtyard - except behind him - a side-glance just to see if anyone was looking. "Hehe... Glad you remember me." He too ended up sweatdropping; eyes closed and a smile plastered on his face.

But then, a voice behind him sounded ever so familiar. And it had stated his name, causing him to turn around.
The previous look of shock was replaced by one of surprise, but in a good way. "Kai!" He exclaimed. "Then it really was you!"
He'd think Arani would remember him too.

Rin froze in place a the boy she stalked turned around...she saw him look at another boy, a blonde, and call his name... Max...She then saw him turn and reply the other boys name, Kai. Was this two of the Bladebreakers? Of course! How could she have mistaken them?! Well, she thought...at least I know both the answers to my questions...and more...If only I could test my skill...? Rin stepps out and joins the gathering crowd, surrounding the boys...she gets close enough o see and hear but stays far enough to keep from being noticed...

Kai blinked as the shock that his team mate actually was there settled on him. Regaining control over himself, Kai let his features settle in their customary smirk.

"This doesn't seem like the sort of school your parents would send you." He said bluntly, ignoring the crowd that had gathered. If they wanted to gawk it was their own wasted time.

Alex strode out of the building and blinked when he saw the gathering crowd. He blinked and walked towards it, trying to see what was so interesting in the centre that everyone just had to gather around.

Even though he was tall he wasn't that tall. Alex reached the edge of the crowd and quietly manoeuvred his way until he could see what was causing the commotion.

He frowned when he saw that it was just two teens talking. "What's happening?" He asked Rin, who happened to be the closest person to him.

"Well according to what I've figured...", Rin replied." The guy with the grey hair Is Kai Hiwatari, of the Bladebreakers, and hes meeting up with his friend, the blonde, Max Tate. The crowd is due to the fact that we have two famous bladers at our school...Why? Do you have any connections with either of them?"

|[Again, I'm sorry for my late reply...]|

Max let the sudden shock in his friend's face go by unnoticed; in fact, the blond was so absorbed in his own thoughts that he didn't notice it at all. How could it be, that he was in school with Kai, someone he'd known for so long and had teamed up with and battled against. It was almost surreal, at least to him.

He soon snapped out of it, though, as Kai then spoke, his words not the least offensive; Max was used to it by now. It was the other's tone of voice, and the way he spoke. By now it would be a bit stupid if Max was still hurt, unless he actually had reasons to. "Well, they did, didn't they?" He asked, one of his trademark smiles forming on his face.

{---}

Everyone was entitled to an opinion, and as such, not everyone who gathered stayed there... Well, just a couple of students, probably held a grudge against the Bladebreakers, or something. At least that's what May assumed, when some student accidentally bumped with her, apologizing and proceeding on his way with a friend, speaking of some Hiwatari and Tate persons.

The teenager frowned at that, obviously interested; she knew those names, from championships and whatnot. In fact, hadn't it been for them and maybe, just maybe - in the next millenium or so -, the team she had been part of would have probably stood a chance.

But it sort of got her curious; was it the blond kid she had seen? He was kind of familiar, though she was busy at the time.
May stopped in her tracks, turning around; as she proceeded to walk back, her pace quickened, until she was in the middle of the crowd, her small self unable to see through the heads of fans and simply curious one, like herself - yes, because May wasn't exactly a big fan of the team in question.

"Hmm, hey, I can't see a thing!" Those were part of the things she'd exclaim - not loudly, though -, among barely audible curses.

Arani's gape promptly turned into a scowl. "Hiwatari." she spat. She'd never quite forgiven him for being a jerk when she'd lost.

Great. Just great. He's here too. Next the dam china-cat and the loudmouth are gonna show up and there'll never be any peace! She glanced about at the crowded that had formed and rolled her eyes. Great. Fans. Just what's needed.

She looked at the blonde apologetically. "Sorry about that...."

((*glomps Belle* There's no need to apologise sweetums))

"Seems they did." He agreed with Max, giving the blonde what amounted to a small smile before looking over at the girl who had practically spat his name. "Do I know you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

Alex frowned. "Ok. Let's assume that I've never heard of the... Bladebreakers? Is that what you said? Anyway, let's assume that. So... what's going on?"

Alex looked over at the soft complaint of May. "Over here."

|[Awe, I'd say sorry but then I'd be apologising again. I tend to do that. ^^; ]|

Max moved slightly to the side, as to see both Arani and Kai - and not have to face some of the people who already stood around them.
He shook his head with a quick; "Don't worry about it." After Arani had apologised.
Kai didn't seem to remember her... Or maybe he was just being who he usually was and probably ignoring any previous encounter with the female. He really couldn't know.

{---}

At the sound of Alex's voice, May managed to move between the students and after a bit of a struggle to get past the wall of curiosity, she finally reached him. "Thank you." She nodded, smiling both at him and Rin.
Now finally, the object of commotion was in her field of vision; and those were none other than Kai Hiwatari and Max Tate.

"Hey, it's really him!" She frowned; speaking more to herself than anyone else. "My friend almost beat that blond kid over there once. He's such a cutiepie. The other one, though..." May narrowed her eyes. "I would watch the battles even after being eliminated from the championships. Maybe he's not like that all the time, but sometimes he could be such a jerk..."
Once again, the girl was just speaking more to herself than to anyone that would be interested in hearing; she seemed to do that a lot, lately.

(((I'm working on my own Bey-RP, but you're gonna be mad at me, Panda.... It's almost blasphemous to the guild....)))

Arani looked about ready to destroy something, probably anything breakable between the fountain and her room. Now, it was bad enough that the Russian had HUMILIATED HER two years before, but not even remembering her? Now that was seriously ticking her off!

She took a deep breath and threw her books angrily back into her bag. "I'll see you around, Max. I'll try and make you a copy of the sketch if you like." she said civilly, distinctly facing so she couldn't see the Russian blader. Noding a goodbye to the American, she strode off, shoving through Alex and May and stalking back to her room to pick up her scheduel and schoolbooks. As she entered the room, she angrily started ripping through bags as she attempted to locate her books, when she came upon Sasuna packed carefully with her old story binders. She carefully placed her friend in her breast pocket and calmly packed her bags for class.

She knelt down before her fathers picture in prayer. I won't mess up this time, Father. I promise I won't bring shame to the Amazilla name any more.

She glanced about to make sure she'd forgotten nothing. She noticed the absence of any other bags than her own. She vaugely wondered if maybe her roommate had changed her mind about the school as she left to locate her first class; Form.

((Blasphemous to the guild?!??! REALLY?!?!?! Can I join?))

Alex blinked, still confused as Arani shoved past him. He looked at the bluenette he assumed was the elusive K. Hiwatari. He looks like a barrel of laughs he decided privately before looking over at May. "You know them?" He asked quietly.

Kai's smirk grew wider at Arani's reaction before he turned his attention back to Max. "I can't believe you stood around long enough for her to recognise you- let alone give her enough time to draw a picture."
PostPosted: Fri Jan 26, 2007 2:32 pm

"Well Kai;" Max started, in a somewhat stern tone. Something unusual from the blond boy, who seemed to give support in the most friendly ways he could find. "Some of us aren't as antisocial as you. Besides, she was alone and I was curious about what she was doing. As I'm sure you know, there's nothing about that."

{---}

May frowned, surprised at such attitude from Arani. Then again, she didn't know her, and couldn't be sure if she'd act like that often. Much like she was either nice or a democompleted with loud and obnoxious threats and violence... In the most humorous of ways, most of the times.
She looked up at Rin, though, at the sound of her voice. "Oh, I was just reminding myself of who Max and Hiwatari were." She answered, smiling ever so slightly.

Alex's question didn't come by unnoticed though, and she moved her gaze to him. "And to answer your question, I think it's a maybe." As she said it, she found the need to explain herself, not to sound too idiotic.

"They're part of the Bladebreakers, of course... I live in Tyson Granger's neighborhood, so I've seen them from time to time, while running some errands or going somewhere to meet my friends or something. It's not like we've ever had any actual conversation, though... Just if one needed to know the time, but nothing that would even classify us as acquaintances. I've been against them in Tournaments, also... but I've always lost." The brunette shrugged. "Anyway, they probably just know me as the 'chinese girl' or the 'flower girl' or something like that. Since sometimes I go and buy some flowers and all, or go and deliver some arrangements to somefamily friends."

"Ahh...I see..." Then Rin abruptly changed the subject,"Did any of you see the poster on the Opening Beyblade Tornament? It would be great if all of us could compete, huh? I'm sure little Maxy wouldn't have a problem with joining...maybe we could get the sourpuss to go for it too."
