The wolf sniffed her, and nudged her, putting his paw on her shoulder.
Amira groaned, rolling over, but still asleep.
The wolf turned back to Vieno and growled again.

"Amira...!" Vieno called out to her in a whispering yell. He looked from girl to wolf a few times, before settling his gaze once more on the wolf. The wolf didn't seem like it was going to harm Amira. Why was this so?

Amira rolled over, eyes opening alightly. "What is it...?" She asked, groggily.
The wolf barked again, still growling.

"Amira... don't move." Vieno said through slightly clenched teeth, tension returning. His eyes had yet to leave the wolf.

She blinked, looking over at him, then down to the wolf. She sighed, giving a slight smile. "Fenrius, leave him alone. He's not hurting me." She said The wolf looked up at hearing his name being called. He walked over to her, curling up beside her, licking her face.

Vieno blinked, speechless. Figuring it was safe, he sheathed his sword. He glanced at his left arm, and then pulled up his sleeve to his elbow. There was a deep, bleeding bitemark on the outside of his arm. He held his right hand over the wound, whispered a magic incantation, the blood clotted, and the skin grafted together, leaving no scars. "Fenrius... Who is this?" Vieno asked Amira.

"Fenrius? Well...He's kind of my guardian of sorts." She said, nodding, "I've lived out here for a while, and I found him when he was just a puppy, when I was just a child. He's grown alot and helped protect me going between towns."

"...Oh." Vieno said, sitting down on the ground again. This was certainly odd, he thought. He shrugged his shoulders and laid down on the ground. Perhaps he could rest a little now as well.

"He can protect us while we sleep." She said, "Now please...don't bother me and let me sleep." She rolled over, laying down and falling back asleep.

Feeling slightly indignant at Amira's orders, Vieno simply nodded. He closed his eyes and sleep soon took hold of him.

The sun eventually peeked oved the horizon. Amira rolled over, eyes opening slightly. She nodded to the wolf who stood and walked off. She stood, stretching.

As soon as Vieno woke up, he sat straight up. As the wolf walked away, he got to his feet and loosened up his joints by stretching. He looked over at Amira. "Are you ready?" he asked.

"Okay, let's go then." Vieno said, walking in the direction Amira had pointed. They had a lot of walking ahead of them. They needed to hurry as well, so they could find somewhere to hide in Nubai once they reached it.

She smiled, staying close to him as always. "The only place I know of where the guards would never look would be the shrine." Of course, for most that knew of it, the shrine was very limited on who could go in. Not many people could open the giant doors protecting the shrine.
