((Kind of. Well, not really. But Lawrence wrote this insane post that involved a panda taking over my apartment. And it was weird. Like, weirder than me. Which is pretty weird.))

Okami rubbed the sleep from her eyes as she stood pouring cereal into a bowl in the kitchen. She was a little annoyed at herself for not being a better hostess last night when Rebecca had dropped off her homework and for missing her mom, who was out to run arrands. Not in the best of moods. But her demeanor improved after she had her breakfast and dressed in a pair of jeans and an over-sized, yet terribly comfy beige sweater. Okami was not looking to spend another day in a house that was totally wrecked. So she broke out the cleaning supplies. Tying her short hair back in a ponytail and readying herself for some hard work, she started on the living room. The girl unpacked the essentials for the room and then stacked other boxes against one wall in the closest thing to an orderly fashion that cardboard moving boxes could be.
She dusted. She polished. She organized.
After perhaps an hour, the room was rather presentable. Okami had hung the sister paintings up, along with the snow water lily one. She assembled a coffee table and placed it by the couch-bed and arranged two sitting chairs nearby as well. The boxes remained, but were no longer scattered about the floor and were labeled according to their contents. Satisfied, and in much need of a rest, Okami flopped down upon the sofa and sighed heavily. Mentally, she surveyed the apartment. What other rooms needed help? The bathroom was pretty well organized, as was the kitchen/dining room. What did that leave? The bedrooms. Okami had no intention of touching her mom's. That left her bedroom. No joy would come from cleaning that dump, she was sure. But it had to be done, didn't it? "I deserve a rest, though," she muttered, trying to procrastinate and succeeding. Though feeling a bit guilty, the girl went and fished out a beautiful hard-cover, leather-bound edition of Shakespearean plays, and began to flip through them.

Fidgeting with her fingers, Meiko stepped up to the door of the apartment and knocked. A slight breeze made her hair move. Annoyed by the fact of her having to push her hair out of her face all the time, she pushed the strands behind her ear. Meiko stood at the door, awaiting for the owner to answer.
[[If I don't answer right away, it's cause I'm also trying to do homework that is due on Tuesday. @o@]]

"Huh?" Okami placed the book on the coffee table and walked to the door. Without giving a thought to her messy appearance, she opened the front door, revealing one of her classmates. She recognized her as the girl from the Host Club, the one who had sung so beautifully back in the corner. Immediately, Okami was self-concious, and she tried to brush off the dust and dirt sticking to her over-sized sweater. "Um, hi," she said, brushing a stray lock of hair out of her eyes. "What brings you here?" ((Okey-dokie.))

Smiling, she replied, "Hello... Ah, it's just there's nothing to do over at my house, seeing as no one is around the place, and I just thought to come and see you... " [[Bah! English homework sucks. -o-]]

"Oh! Um, okay. Come on in. I'll make some tea." Okami ushered the girl into the apartment. She was very happy that she had been able to clean up the living room before Meiko arrived, though she wished she could clean up herself. "Uh, peppermint tea okay?" She headed into the kitchen to boil some water.

Stepping inside, she thought to herself, I should have called first or something... Father always told me to respect other peoples' alone time and ask first. She mentally scolded herself but was brought back to reality as Okami asked a question. "Peppermint in fine." She nodded and watched as Okami went into the kitchen to make the tea.

"Alright," said Okami from the kitchen as she pulled down two mugs down from a cabinet. "So..how've you been?" she asked hesitantly. To be honest, Okami couldn't have been more surprised by Meiko's visit than if the entire host club had showed up. Which was a pleasant thought. "Excuse the mess. We've only been in this apartment for a week. Er, do you take honey with your tea?" As she spoke, her mom walked in. "Okami?" she called. "Mom! Um, this is Meiko from school, she dropped by to-" The phone rang and Okami's mother went to get it. When she got off the phone, Shika was smiling. "Apparently, another friend of yours is coming over."

{ You're mom, Okami-chan, should tell you I'm coming! <_<; Woo! Cramped apartment. x_x; }
Vira jogged along the sidewalk, looking for the correct street the apartment was on. She finally found it and ran up a few stairs to reach the right door and knocked loudly. Stuffing the piece of paper in her back pocket for future reference, she dusted off her pants and shirt, so she wouldn't look a total mess. She smiled brightly and waited for someone to open the door. " Okami-chan?~ "
{ Me-chan will probably answer the door or something and we'll be all. "ME-CHAN! " and "V-CHAN!" xD }

"Oh,I've been as well as one can be living in an empty estate." She replied. She looked around the room. She had to say, it was a nice place for an apartment. "Hm? Oh, I don't mind, I totally understand." Blinking, she replied, "I never tried honey with my tea before... Oh, and I hope I'm not intruding by dropping by."
EDIT: She turned as whom she suspected to be Okami's mother walked in. Bowing deeply, she said, "It is a pleasure to meet you." [[BAH!! Someone ate all my Oreos!! And I bought them MYSELF!! Someone will pay... stare ]]

"Empty estate?" Okami looked puzzled, but just then there was a knock on the door and, simultaneously, the teapot began to whistle. Mrs. Katana had had to make a phone call immediately after Vira's call and Okami needed to pour the tea, so she asked Meiko if she wouldn't mind opening the door. "I bet that's whomever called," she muttered as she ran into the kitchen to turn off the stovetop.

Hearing the knock and the teapot whistle, she heard Okami ask if she wouldn't mind answering it. " No, I wouldn't mind at all." Walking over to the door, she opened it to reveal another person whom she was familiar with and was also in her class. "Vi-chan?" Meiko questioned, and couldn't help but let a small smile creep onto her pale features.
