"I see." The evidence was just piling and piling up...this was definitely a lab agent. "Must be convienent to be here, then, with Zoo science and all."
Alan took a step closer to Ryan, trying to make the young man uncomfortable. His new hooves, however, caused him to trip up and crash unceremoiously into the young man.

"Yeah, they offered me a job as a zookeeper, and I -oof!" Ryan wasn't ready to be tackled, and fell backwards, hitting his head on the ground. He gave a sharp intake of breath through clenched teeth and held his injured hands to his injured head, just wanting the pain to go away. Alan sitting on top of him went unnoticed as he clutched his head.
That was going to cause a bump.

Alan's eyes opened wide as he fell into the unchanged man, his much larger weight (from his change and also from before the island) easily knocking over Ryan into the tall grass and hard ground below. The proud man sat on the young boy's stomach, mouth agape in shock and shame of his clumsiness.
A very small "haw, hee" once again left his mouth as he looked on in shock, ignoring the fact that the other man might have a concussion.

The sharp pain in his head was starting to fade, and Ryan became aware that the other man was still lying on top of him. Besides being incredibly awkward, it was also a little hard to breathe.
"Umm, excuse me?" He wheezed. "Mr Donkey person, could you please get off of me?" He said it nicely, but it was tinged with impatience; Ryan wasn't in the mood to pussyfoot around this guy's sensitivity anymore.

What was wrong with him? To Alan, it was like his body just didn't want to cooperate at all. Nothing in the world, not even pure willpower, could get him to be accomodating.
"Donkey person?" Alan said, his voice far off in the distance. "No...I'm not...No!" He looked down at the younger man visciously. "NO!" he barked, no, nearly brayed.

Wow, he wasn't kidding when he said he had issues with his animal. Ryan though as the man started to panic and bray. His long face was certainly interesting as he yelled at Ryan. However the man felt though, it was trumped by Ryan's need for air. He'd given Alan a chance to get off, and he hadn't, so it seemed he had to do it.
Gathering his arms to his sides, Ryan pushed up at Alan at the same time he sat up, throwing him to the side. He gasped a few lungfuls of air before turning to Alan. "You've got some major issues, man."

Alan's mind was engulfed in a foreign veil. Despite the lack of external changes at the 50% mark, it seemed as some donkey instincts had flooded his brain. As he was pushed to the side by Ryan, he continued to stare down the younger man in hatred, the months of unfocused anger now finding a target.
"I have problems?!" Alan asked, nearly screaming as he got to his feet. "You're the one who works for THEM!" Birds in the nearby trees took flight at his bellowing voice. It wouldn't be too long until his chip kicked in.

At the screaming, Ryan was up on his feet in an instant, putting a some distance between him and Alan. He wasn't sure if the guy would actually attack him, but it didn't hurt be careful. The last thing Alan said threw him for a loop though. Suddenly it wsa Ryan's turn to be upset.
"Wha-what?! I don't work for them! I'm trapped here, same as you!" The last thing he needed was somebody going around spreading rumors that he worked for the lab.

"Sure you are, now," Alan sneered. "I've heard about a few people who've crossed the fence." He slightly raised his right hoof and dug it into the ground, fortifying his stance. There was no way this threat was going to just pass him by.
"What did you do to mess up?" Alan asked, acid dripping in his voice.

"What the hell are talking about, 'crossing the fence'?" Ryan was slightly confused. He hadn't heard about the workers who had been injected.
"I never actually worked for them. They offered me a job here as a zookeeper, and as soon as I got he I was injected and put in a duplex."
A thougth occured to Ryan. "Why the hell would you think I worked for them anyway?"

"Don't try to trick me!" Alan yelled, tensing up his hooved left leg. "You've already given yourself away! The science, zoology major, knowlege of animals...it adds up. Just another conspiracy!" It all made sense; the connections were clear in his head.
He lowered his forehead, preparing to defend himself from the menace should he attack.

"I'm not trying to trick you!" Ryan yelled back. "I never even got my degree. They just offered a job that paid better than anything I would get with a degree. The next thing I know, I'm going to be turning into an damn Armadillo!"
If Alan thought Ryan was going to attack him, he was mistaken. Instead he closed his eyes and brought his hands up and down in time with his breathing. He needed to calm down, he didn't want to do something he's regret.

Alan ignored the more human man's remarks, sinking deeper into anger, hatred, and ignorance. Why? Why was this young man just denying the truth? He stared, his eyebrows furrowing into a v-shape on his long face.
When the young man started to move his hands up and down, however, Alan's mind snapped awake with a new, strange voice. Threat! Defend! Now!
What? Alan heard his voice ask back.
NOW!
As if the other, strange voice had taken control of his body, Alan's right hoof raised itself and snapped like a cobra in the direction of the young man.

(Ryan)
With his eyes closed, he never saw it coming. One second he was just standing there, the next he was doubled over in pain as he took a hoof to his stomach. He wrapped his arms around his torso, trying to get his breath back. This was just not his day. He was taking hits left and right.
"What... what the... hell.. was that for...b*****d..." Placing one hand on the ground, he steadied himself and stood up, still holding one arm to his stomach. Some of his old zookeeper training was coming back; he knew he couldn't appear weak.

Kick! Again! the other presence yelled across the donkey-man's fragile brain, drowning out the human who had been its original inhabitant. For the first time in his life, Alan Murrow, a man known for his loud voice, was being out-yelled.
The man (who the Alan part of the mind knew as Ryan) was standing there, seemingly unharmed, with only his his arm covering his stomach. The former lab worker obviously did not respond to the strong kick, so a much stronger one was in order. Turning around, The Donkey placed his hands on the ground and with a very loud "HAW!" kicked back with both feet.
