Rin blinked at Eyal for a moment, trying to figure out what to do.
"Is it hungry?" she finally asked Maderik.
"It's challenging you," the dragon replied and sat up straighter to keep Rin out of the hatchling's reach. "Still glad you came to see these?"
Rin just set her jaw stubbornly and refused to answer.
"Rin," Maderik said to the hatchling, "My Dragon-Bound. A human. Go meet your other nestmates - you will have to concern yourself with these creatures someday but now is not the time."

Zera snorted. The dragon was bossing her around, but for some reason, she didn't dare challenge it like she had challenged...What had he called the human? Rin? Zera looked up at the older dragon with eyes showing that she was not to be bossed around. She sat stubbernly by the dragon.

His head turned at the approach of another hatchling. He looked at the black and red hatchling as she indicated her knowledge of the human. She was teasing him wasn't she! The older dragon spoke, and Eyal's head turned back to listen. It was Rin. A human. Human...? Dragon-bound...? Eyal didn't not know what those were, but he supposed he would shortly learn, as the other dragon had suggested.
He turned back to the black and red one. He knew what the thing was now too! He let out a small riumphant bugle, and then grinned in a dragonish way. Letting out a playful growl, he reached over and gave the other a playful n** on her tail, pausing for a moment to look back, and then taking off like a shot, weaving in between the other dragons.

Zera gasped. How dare he snap at her tale! She took off after him, as he was now darting away! Atleast he knows to run! Zera thought playfully. She knew her icy breath wasn't much and wouldn't develop untill she was older, but her breath still shocked humans. She could see the other hatchling running not to far ahead of her and blew her icy breath out at him, though it was quite weak it was cold. She wondered if it had got him.

Rin watched the hatchlings as they pushed each other around. She lay flat on Maderik's back, the physical connection making the mental one easier for the moment.
I wonder how many of those will grow up and murder my kind? she said to him.
Some. There are always some. You don't sound as bothered by this as you used to.
Maybe I've become more dragon-like.
She sat back and up stretched in exagerated carelessness. Out of the corner of her eye she surveyed the other dragons as she did so. The one that Maderik had challenged was hovering nearby and a few others were looking in their direction. She knew them. They were ones that disliked the humans in general and kept their Dragon-Bound on as short of leashes as possible. They'd overstayed their welcome.
"Maderik, I'm ready go leave."
"I was ready the moment we arrived," he growled in response and without another glance to the hatchlings he turned and bounded away, stretching his fins and leaping into the air to fly back to their home.

He squeaked in surprise as something chilly engulfed the end of his tail and heels. He turned around in surprise, looking curiously at the other hatchling. She had iced him! He turned, he knew what to do! The motions were almost instinctive. He opended his mouth, and tendrils of the smallest flame crept towards her. No, it was not quite a true fire, more just heat than anything, but still. He also had the sense to take a quick moment to put a little heat on his still cold tail before she iced him again. He grinned. Iced. It was a funny word. He liked it.

She whatched him, amusement in her eyes. That will teach him. She thought to herself. She then noticed some brightly colored feathers into her mane. Her eyes sparkled. She looked as if to say I have feathers, and you don't!

Not too far away, a frightened bugle blew through the air. Shortly after the cry, a small blue dragon hatchling hurdled into the clearing. Well, mostly dragon hatchling… or at least, he looked vaguely like one. It’s head was currently partly covered with eggshells, blocking off his vision, which was probably why the little guy was panicking. Running around a few times, the little hatchling stumbled over what appeared to be an air pocket and promptly crashed into Eyal.
On the bright side, this made the shall fall away from Asariel’s eyes. Blinking in the sudden light, he let out a delighted shriek, before… well… falling over, actually, slipping on one of the eggshell bits. Stumbling to his feet, Asariel promptly slipped into a pose best known as ‘I meant to do that’ and looked around, interested in just about everything.
The tip of his tail flicked as he noticed Zera’s pretty feathers. He froze and watched those feathers intently, silently stalking the other hatchling. Relatively silent, anyway. Since he was still very clumsy, he tended to walk into rocks a lot, and random legs as well.

With a yawn, and a chirp, Minuit sat up. Surveying the new, blue dragon, she started to walk towards him, chirping merrily.

Zera's eyes flickered from the yellow dragon over to the Blue one. She lets out a chirp of surprise and her cool breath in the direction of the blue dragon. She know wheather to be insulted that the blue dragon was hunting her, or just plain old surprised. She sniffed a peice of eggshell that had fallen off him, still trying to decide.

Asariel squealed in surprise as a sudden blast of cold swooped over him. Taking a few desperate steps back, he careened over a purple hatchling who had been walking towards him at that moment. Making a noise best described as a blurp, he got up hurriedly and tried to figure out what to do first: try to apologize for stumbling over the purple dragon or get sweet, sweet revenge on the black one. Well, since the black hatchling was still watching him, he decided that apologizing to the purple would be better.
Letting out an ashamed cheep and looking down at the dirt, Asariel scratched at the ground aimlessly. That is, until he saw a pretty shiny stone! Pouncing on it, he batted it from claw to claw before batting it towards the purple hatchling, inviting her to play.
And the black one with the red swirls would wait… Asariel would have his revenge. Mwahahaha.

Minuit looked confused, but then...MORE HAPPINESS!
She pounced on the stone, attempting to run away with it. She wondered what this hatchling's name was. 'M-i-n-u-i-t' She thought, suddenly. 'Min-yoo-it'. Happily, she ran off, stone in her mouth.

Zera's gaze flickered back to the blue one. She didn't trust him. She shyed away from him. Normally others didn't scare her, but he did. She took off when he batted the stone towards her. She wasn't going to trust him. She hid behind at tall oak tree at the edge of the clearing, peeking out to make sure he didn't follow.

Once again, Asariel blurped as the purple hatchling took off with his prize. Getting to his feet, he chased after her, little wings whirring uselessly. But, slowly, he stopped, suddenly getting bored and realizing he was alone. Sitting down on the ground, the little hatchling wailed. Why were they running away from him? Was there something on his face? Desperately, he pawed at his nose, trying to see if there was any more egg shell or something on his head. Maybe there was… he couldn’t see, so he couldn’t tell.
As he was doing this, he saw something interesting… the tip of a little black tail, in fact, right around a tree. Perking up, he watched as a black dragon face peered around the other side of the trunk. He pretended not to see, and slowly insinuated his way closer when he thought she wasn’t looking, aiming to playfully attack her tail when she wasn’t watching. It seemed like a fun game to the rough-and-tumble Asariel.

Zera felt like something was watching her, but she couldn't figure out whom. it was probably one of the older dragons, making sure she didn't hurt herself. She found herself missing the others and if she should wander back, but her senses said that danger was near. She clawed up the tree a bit swinging her tail back and forth quickly. She peeked over a branch but still saw nothing. Fear Gripped her.
