I get the feeling that winning that prize might send you down a long chain of events that you do not have to want to deal with, such as constant harassment by people want further experimentation and/or being pestered by media.

You can always just say no.
You don't say no to the CIA, they take you to area fifty one and do vivisection on you in front of where they faked the moon landing. lol

Seriously, though, you'd probably be put into government custody because they'd want to restart project stargate.

It'd actually be nice to have a government job teaching people how to be psychic. I bet they have great employment benefits.

BTW, Area 51 has been abandoned for a few years now. Something about the radioactive fallout being too dangerous now.

Yeah, you don't just say no to certain people, they can find a way to get you where you least want to be eventually. Also, y saying no you probably wouldn't be on their good side either. As for the fallout, the government doesn't ever have an official statement on things like pertaining to area 51, so who knows what's going on for sure.

They claim it's abandoned... Sattelite photos show there's still a lot of activity there, even if it is reduced.

I've heard things about that challenge that make me very, very hesitant. Anyways, I wouldn't want the media attention.
