um... I remember where I was. at the time I homeschooled and I lived in NY. My mom came into my room while I was in school, and she was all tweaking out, and she babbled some nonsense about how planes and towers, when I ran downstairs, th news video was on and I got there just in time to see the second plane hit... live. Five people died in our town, and a lot more were close. One guy I knew was two buildings over, and he had to be hosed down to get the ashes off, wrapped in a newspaper, and boated off the island... and don't insult Bush too much. I don't like the guy either, but at least he did something when we were attacked. who's to say someone else wouldn't have?

Skytile Ummm.... I remember I was at school during the Twin Tower attacks in the U.S.A. on Sept. 11. I was at school, a weird boy said that if I had relatives in NY, then they'd be dead. I remember thinking, "All right, he's weird!" Then, I got home and saw them playing the video over and over again. Maybe he wasn't AS weird as I thought... Still weird though! I also remember 9-11. I was in school as well and we all went to the library to watch the news. Some people were crying, but I didn't understand what big idea was and why everyone was so upset. The next day, kids were saying that they saw the devil in the smoke, and pointed it out in the paper. That's starting to fade though. sad It's not as clear as before.

Well, this turned into a big "remeber the twin towers thing" but I'm not complaining.
I agree, Bush is annoying, but think of it this way, in four years we will probably be underthe rule of Hilary Clinton.
Anyway, Two Towers: My father was taking my brother and I to school ( I was in seventh grade at the time) and we heard it on the radio. At first I thought it was a joke, like that one radio thing where on Haloween they read over the radio that the world was being invaded by aliens, but finally accepted it. When I got to school I told everyone I could at breakfast, then when school actuall started I ran and told the teachers and we ended up watching the attack all morning, didn't switch except for the reading period, where we watched more of the attack, then went back to our classrooms and watched it the rest of the day, except during lunch. At least, my class did. I don't know about the other people in my school.
Also I remember ( just to break the twin towers mem. thing, or try to) one of my little brothers slamming into our woodsove when he went to sit down on a cushion he had placed in front of the t.v. ( he jumped for it) and had to get stitches in his head. Then he got them out a week later. Day after that it is back to the emergency room for more stitches because he stepped on a rail road tie. Briliiant, isn't he? He once also ran around with the pooper scooper handle in his mouth, tripped, and it went through the roof of his mouth. This was before the stitches, about two years before we even moved to the house where he got them. Also, I remember another brother, six now, at the age of one swallow a rubix cube sticker and he had to go to a childrens hospital to get it removed, they didn't know what it was at first. We got to stay home from school that day, he had it removed at midnight, and it was yellow.
And then there are all the bad memories I'd rather not explore...

Konai_Neto No, I'm sorry. I live in Colorado, I recognized your words from books. Bless... Stratford-on-Avon is the birthplace of William Shakespere. A lot of people go nuts at me when I reveal my hometown...

Oh yeah! I learned about that a couple years ago. His dad was a glovemaker, and he applied for a coat of arms but didn't get it because of financial hardships. Shakespeare learned latin at an early age, because he got to go to school. He dissaperead for seven years, then married and became a writer. Many people do not believe he wrote all that he did, and some people think he was gay. He had two children, Hamnet and Judith. Some people on gaia were making a big deal out of the fact that he gave his best bed to the queen when he died, what they did not realise was that it was the custom at the time, and I believe it is only an expression. Also, the Globe Theater that he owned burned down.
I know to much.

Yeah...I have a very good memory though. I can't remember most of my childhood up until I was about twelve though...I don't kow why that much but Iam speculating it's because of some things that happened...those I do remember...the rest is a bit of a blur...

I remembeer 9/11 vaguely i mean it didn't really concern me at the time becuase i'm Canadian. Of course i'm deeply sorry for all the families that lost someone inthe attack. I'm just pissed off at Bush for going about stopping 'Terrorisim' by starting a war, there had to have been a better way. I have other issues with American people but none relavent to the 9/11 topic.

What issues do you have? I mean yes, America can be pretty bad, but do me a favor and don't judge all of us on some of the people living here, or what has been done in the past. Thanks.

My issue is the stupid BORDER being closed to CANADIAN BEEF because of two cases of Mad Cow Disease especially since Cattle farmer's have had several cases of Mad cow disease, and the fact that the governments been trying to cover that up. Tell me is it fair that it's okay for the US to have Mad Cow in their beef but as soon as any other country does, they close the border and refuse to open it. To me that doesn't sound very fair.
