[| A Silent Night (cont'd) |] 2K5.09.23 Senfaust Entering through the vast, ornately carved doors of the library, he was greeted by tall, sturdy shelves filled with texts and scrolls. Despite the fact that the place was filled with parchment, it lacked the musty smell of dust and old that he normally found in other book halls. Greeting one of the evening docents who sat at a desk near the front door with a nod, he shuffled his wings closer to his body and searched for the archives.
Finding the shelves that held the records of all the texts within the great library, he browsed a bit prior to pulling one of the massive volumes from the shelves. Sitting down at rectangular table nearby, he perused the words inside, searching for something, anything that would give him an idea of where the relic Invictus Lucifer may be.
Hours later found him with a few references that may be related. Though he was hopeful, he was also weary from all the events from tonight. It was late and he would only have another day on his own prior to getting back to work. Writing down the last few references with their textual titles and pages, he rolled his shoulders and stretched his wings before returning all the archive books back.
Folding the small sheet of information into his pocket, he made his way toward the exit. However, as he passed a couple bookshelves, something caught his eye down the aisle of one of them. Straying from his original intention to leave, he turned and entered the aisle, which seemed significantly dimmer than the rest.

[| Sparring Buddy..? |] 2K5.08.24 Senfaust & Draco Senfaust looks about, feeling clueless. Wandering about, he folds his wings and sits. Ruffling his feathers a tad, he flips open a small leatherbound book and begins sketching. Sketching out a simple, generic four-legged creature, Senfaust just lets his mind wander and draws in the details that come to mind.
Draco walked in and scratched his head. He then folded his wings under his arms. He had been training at nights. Though most of the time it was by himself.
Senfaust looked up from his drawing and nodded a greeting to the stranger. Ruffling his own wings, being a tad sore from a long flight, he quietly wondered what other Dous did around the continent.
Shrugging, Senfaust returned to his drawing. It probably wasn't anything close to anything real, but it helped chase his boredom away. Flipping the book again, he stretched the soreness out of his wings. He was out of shape, not so much weight-wise but endurance-wise he would be needing more training on.
Draco looked down at Senfaust. "Hello. I am Draco A. Darkwalker," said Draco. "What might your name be?"
"I'm Senfaust Veramis. Pleased to meet you," Senfaust responded, looking up and rising to his feet. Offering the Draco his hand friendly, he smiled.
"Nice to meet you as well," said Draco shaking Senfaust hand.
Folding his book closed, he slipped the book under his arm with a nod of acknowledgement. His previous musing was floating about in his mind, he figure another Dou might have an answer.
"So, if you don't mind me asking," Senfaust asked, . "What do you do around here?"
" I train my fighting skills with my sword and I tend to wander about," replied Draco.
"Ah, a swordsman also," Senfaust mentioned, more to himself than out loud. Grinning slightly at the prospect of possible sparring buddy, he couldn't help the next question as it came to him. "Perhaps we can spar one of these days. What technique do you use or are you more of a berserker?"
Though his training couldn't really be called complete, he had a firm grasp of it and was far more comfortable using it now then he did in the past. The question wasn't really one to figure the best counter technique, it was more along the lines of just trying to make conversation.
"Sure I guess. My sword style is a acient style that has no name, " said Draco. "What style do you use?"
Nodding though unsure as there were quite a few ancient styles, he replied to Draco's question, "Ninja Niten."
With that mentioned note, Senfaust double-checked his swords as they were one of the few things he was quite attached to.
Sensing the time was severely late, Senfaust gave Draco his small smile again. "I do apologize for my sudden need to take leave. The night is late and I must rest to recharge for another day's work."
"Perhaps we'll run into one another again in future. Until then, take care and may the Fates be with you."
___Note// Continuation based on possibility of another run with Draco...

[| Doushikai Ball |] 2K5.10.17 Senfaust Dressed in clothing that were far more expensive and detailed than he was used to, Senfaust adjusted various parts of his costume and his mask prior to entering into the Cairo Mage Academy building. Greeted by the sound of voices and music in the background, he wandered through in wonder whether he would actually know anyone around here. Seeing no one he knew, Senfaust was hit with a pang of social anxiety and quickly wandered off to the refreshments table to take his mind off of things. Of the Dous he has had contact with, one had vanished and the other had seemed to be put off by him. Shaking his head absent-mindedly, Sefaust helped himself a sample of some of the offered food and cup of punch.
___Note// Well, I ended up losing track of the thread after these posts, thus it ended before it started. ^x^;;

[| Hazard: Falling Angels |] 2K6.01.29 Senfaust & V'rain Senfaust, knapsack hanging by one of it's two straps off his shoulder, walked quietly into the forest outside the city he resided in. It was a cool evening illuminated by the light of of a waning moon.
He often came out in the evening to collect some of the rare, light sensitive plants. Some of which were more potent depending on when they were harvested, while others were simply only ripe during the evening.
Suddenly, what looks to be an angel is flying overhead in the forest. It soon starts to waver in the air, and starts to turn a wierd angle in the air. Soon enough, the angel suddenly starts heading toward Senfaust with speed, and ends up flying and crashing on top of Senfaust.
Looking up as he sensed something off, he looked up, eyes widening he saw a plummetting silhouette coming straight for him. Unsure whether this was an attack on his person or not, he tossed his knapsack off to the side and readied himself.
However, moments before impact, he realized something. Flipping his sword out of the way and bracing himself as he deftly caught the falling shadow. Senfaust gazed down, his expression soften a bit as he realized that the person he held was a blind angel.
The angel, unconscious from the large fall, breathed heavily from the large impact. His gloved hands were sweaty, and his forehead was beaded with sweat. The angel's suddenly sat up, mumbling something about location, coughed into his hands, and fainted once again.
Blinking at the slight randomness of that event, he looked around him and found a tree that was suitable. Hoisting up this mysterious angel, Senfaust carried him to a large willow tree whose roots formed a kind of makeshift bench or bed depending on how one looked at it.
Lying the person down and fetching his knapsack, he used some of the water he carried and a small linen cloth to wipe down the stranger's face. A bit unsure of himself, which was an odd feeling on it's own, Senfaust figured that he'd wait a bit to see if this angel would just come to on his own.
Minutes later, the angel finally woke up, sitting up and finding the cloth on his forehead, he wondered where he was. He stood up on the makeshift bench that he thought was the ground, he tried stepping forward, and ended up falling to the ground making a scream. "Gyaaaaa!"
After getting out of the shock of the unexpected fall, he jumped to his feet, pretending nothing was wrong.
While the angel was out, Senfaust had retrieved some herbs from his pack and added them to a cup of water and set it aside. Looking up and toward the sound of the cry then moment it broke the silence of the night, Senfaust blinked as he found the indidual he had caught earlier awake and apparently on his feet.
Smiling a bit, he said, "Oh, good. You're up... I was starting to wonder whether I would need to call the paramedics... Here, drink this. It'll help will any dizziness that you may have right now from your fall."
He reached out and set the cup with herbal water in the person hand gently.
The angel felt the cup touch his hand and, feeling parched from his flight, pratically drowned himself with the herbal water. "Thank you so much for your kindness!"
He bowed deeply to Senfaust. "My name's V'rain, nice to meet you!"
He sat, knowing that the bench was behind him, and ended up sitting on completely nothing, the bench ended up being at least a foot away. "Um, would you mind telling me where I was?"
He pulled out a small folded paper out of his pocket. "I brought a map with me, but y'know, I can't really SEE, so that doesn't help me alot."
He laughed and tossed the worn out map behind his shoulder.
Shaking his head as the angel had almost choked on the water, smiling more to himself than V'rain. "You're welcome... I am Senfaust."
Walking over and helping the once again fallen V'rain up to guide him to sit on the tree root. "I hope you are feeling a bit better. You had a rather large fall..."
Blinking in amazement and laughing as V'rain tossed his map, he simply replied, "I'm not sure where your journey began, but you are currently in a forest near the city I reside in."
V'rain put his hand on his chin and looked up. "That doesn't help me at all!"
He shook his head and then sighed. "I don't get how I'm supposed to get home..."
V'rain's sad expression then lit up when he suddenly exclaimed, "Hey, can I stay at your place till I can figure out where I came from?!"
He suddenly stood up and then stepped backwards to find his map, and ended up tripping over the root.
Blinking in amazement in V'rain's sudden request, Senfaust couldn't help but like him because of his randomness. "Sure thing since I have a spare room, but things will be a cramped since I've a small apartment for the moment and am in the process of moving stuff around soon. But, you are welcome to stay."
V'rain clapped his hands in happiness. "Don't worry, you'll barely notice I'll be there!"
He got back up to his feet and with a few minutes, finally got his map. "I really don't even know where I came from, but I thought that fetching the map might be a start. I think I came from the north."
He pointed in a direction... that was going south.
"Ah-ha... Well, don't worry, until we find your place of origin, you can just help out around the place." Senfaust said, a smile definitely reflecting in his voice. He couldn't explain why, but he felt at ease with this stranger for some reason. Watching V'rain point, he said, "Um, North would be 180 degrees the other way, V'rain... Will you be needing help in walking out of here?"
"No, no, I'm fine! Just completely..." At this point, V'rain stepped off a tiny cliff and fell to the ground again. "...needing your sight to help me go through this."
He muffled through the grass. As he stood up, he swayed to the sides just a bit from all the falling during the past day, and then mumbled, "Which way was north again?"
Quickly tossing on his knapsack and sheathing his sword, Senfaust helped up V'rain, gently but firmly grasping his arm and pulling him to his feet. "Hold on to my arm and I'll guide you."
V'rain put on a pouting face and mumbled. "God, this must look wrong to people..." He grabbed Senfaust's arm and tried not to trip as he walked down the hill with Senfaust. "So, where do you live?"
Pretending to not catch the comment, he simply responded to the second one, "In an apartment on the western end of the city, the room overlooks the forest and ocean... It's rather nice and quiet."
Walking at a pace that V'rain could take without stumbling. It would be a bit of a long walk, but he sensed that V'rain was probably more tired that he let on and probably needed the rest.
"Well, it'll be around 10-15 minutes..." Though appearing slight in build, Senfaust was stronger than he appeared. Bearing V'rain's weight was no problem, however he easily took notice of the uneven gait of his companion. "You're limping, V'rain.. And rather badly also." Senfaust slowed to a pause, he gently pulled the blind angel off his arm then hoisted him onto his back and carried him till they reached his apartment, which rested on the thirteenth floor of a tall skyscraper.
"So, is it long to walk?" V'rain's legs were stumbling to hold himself up and put most of his weight on Senfaust's arm. "Well, at least it'll be worth the walk, it's been forever since I've found a quiet place to be."
He sighed as he ruffled his green hair with his free hand. His wings flopped tiredly as he limped. He didn't feel it before, but he felt like he sprained his ankle as he tripped over that tree root eariler. The pain in his ankle was increasing each step as he slowed down the walking speed.
By the time Senfaust had swung V'rain's limp body over his back, V'rain was starting to feel drained and sleepy. He started to feel heavy and his wings lay flat against his back. "Got to... get back..."
He mumbled and was about to fall asleep until his foot had hit something and made pain surge through his body. He reached down to his foot and grasped it with pain. As they went toward the apartment, V'rain breathed in Senfaust's smell, noticing the smell of flowers and dirt lingering in his clothes before falling asleep once more.
Closing the door after V'rain and securing it closed, Senfaust gently carried the fallen angel off to the spare room down the small corridor in his apartment. Pushing the door open, he laid him down.
Taking an extra moment, Senfaust rid his guest of his shoes to bind the ankle that had given the angel his limp with some gauze that he had quickly picked up prior to taking taking V'rain to the room. Once through, he pulled the covers over and bid V'rain a good night before closing the door after him as he exited.
V'rain suddenly felt a soothing feeling at his ankle and then smiled. He was about to say thank you to Senfaust for everything he's done, but ended up mumbling something that sounded like a snore, and then fell back to sleep.
Smiling, he left to tend to the potted herbs on the balcony. You just never know when herbs come in handy... Gathering a few of the ones that he had used this evening, he took them indoors to set them out to dry later during the day.
Looking to the skies outside, he shook his head with a smile at the evening's events. The harvesting of night herbs and plants would have to wait till tomorrow evening. Yawning to himself, he ended up never reaching his own bed and fell asleep at his desk.
