I would suggest reading Paradise Lost. The first half is from Satan's perspective.

One of my friends read that book and said that it was n't very good!

*Shrugs* Neither was the Bible.

It's a classic piece of literature, though. It's worth reading.

Yes. The Bible wasn't a very good book when I read it.

Why?

Reading The Odyssey again won't make it any better written. Why would the Bible be any different?

BUT if you go at it with an open mind instead of narrow-minded then it might seem like a better "Story"

Narrow mind? lol

Excuse me, but I don't think you're one to talk. Tell me, have you studied any religions outside your own?

I have read the Bible with a very open mind. I still didn't think it was very well-written.

bad can of worms that you just opened! I now apologize if I'm rude! yes I have studied other religions I was once catholic, wiccan, nothing, lutheran, prosperitian.. you name it I was it! But somebody who does not believe the religion that they are "studying" until they ACTUALLY BELIEVE IT! by going around and knocking down someones religion just for the kicks is rather pathetic! Like i said i'm sory! I f I seemed rude but I've been reading your posts and so far, you have had absolutly nothing nice to say! And to come into this forum and knock ppl down and critizie them for their religion is pretty low!

Hindu, Buddhist, Jainist, Sikh...No?

You need to stop limiting yourself to the Abrahamic God. I can't actually say anything about Wicca, though.

You think?

So the professor of Islam at the University of Dallas, who happens to be an atheist, has not studied Islam?

I think someone should tell him that.

I'm not knocking down anyone's religion "just for kicks". I'm defending my own religious stance. It is you that is trying to knock down my beliefs. Don't be so hard on yourself.

There is a history between Fushigi and I. Fushigi invited me to this guild to see how well I would hold up when there were a bunch of Christians beating away at my beliefs. I have done fairly well, don't you think?

I don't come here just to criticize people for their religion. I come here to try to give you people another perspective.

Like I said I wasn't trying to knock you down its just when you "debate" (and I've confimed this with other guild members) they feel like your stomping on their face! Then my friend expalin to me what your religious stance is? because you sound REALLY atheist! I am not hard on myself! I said nothing about who invited you in the guild! I tthink when you are giving someone your opinion you are rather negative! like i said I'm sorry if i offended you!

I am a weak atheist. I do not believe the Abrahamic God exists, and I think the concept does more harm than help.

However, I do accept the fact that for some illogical reason that God could exist, I just don't consider the idea reasonable and I don't really take in seriously in rational discourse.

I'm like Voltaire, except I'm a weak atheist instead of a deist, I believe black people are equal to white people, and I can't write nearly as well.
