Fayina yipped slightly, happy that she could hunt with another wolf. Alls she'd been hunting were the smaller animals, and she was quite tired of that diet. In no way was she skilled enough to bring even a deer down by herself. Well, unless it was sickly or she got lucky and came upon a stray fawn.
"That's good, lead the way!" She nudged him lightly and playfully.

He grinned from ear to ear as he wagged his tail even harder and faster still. "We'll be feasting in no time!" he said happily as he began a steady trot further in the woods. Caleb knew exactly where he was going and how to get there. Past the oldest oak in the forest, behind the vines that tore flesh if you weren't careful around them, and finally past a small stream that led to the family of deer that was nearby.

Fayina just followed cheerfully behind. She didn't ever mind following everyone, it was leading that caused her a problem. This hunt seemed perfect though, and she was glad that she had someone bringing her. She'd do her share of work and all that, it was just nice to be led. By a nice wolf.

"Oh this will be a tasy meal indeed," he said as he crouched into the grass a bit as not to be seen by the opposition. He wasn't sure how well she could hunt and had the strangest inner desire to hunt for her. It wasn't often that he had any kind of company, so he felt the need to show hospitality.
"Pick one of them....and I can get it........."

He'd get it for her? Her tail wagged slightly and her eyes scanned the animals. Which should she pick? Nothing too hard... she didn't want him to not catch it because she was rather hungry... but nothing too easy because that might be a bit offensive. "That one." She whispered and motioned with her muzzle to a young colt, who looked fast but he would be a good meal for two wolves.

"That's a very fine choice", he said as he nodded his head. Indeed the colt looked like it would prove to be a useful meal yet. He had to act fast. Anyone with half a brain knew that there would be trouble from the others if he didn't. Individually they could not do anything, but as a whole he knew there was a threat there.
So he slinked forward, body lithe and stressed out. Ears flat against his skull. Before the young one could respond, Caleb already had his maw clamped around its scrawny neck.

Fay grinned and crouched down farther to the ground, her heart started to beat faster. It was in both anticipation for the hunt and because she was slightly worried for this wolf she'd just met. But as her eyes caught sight of the ooze of crimson from the prey's neck she bared her teeth, her mouth salivating. She was feeling a slight blood lust.

As gentle as he was with most things he did, in the act of killing Caleb was as rough and wild as any wolf could be. It could be assumed that the act would never hold anything but brutality. In any case the softly coated male finally drug the now dead animal towards the fem. He thankfully but no trouble from the others.
"Well....that was easy," he said with a small grin, with just a flicker of pride in his maw.

Her heart was pounding and her gaze flickered toward the fleeing others. Her body twitched slightly as she restrained herself from racing after them, trying to tear them limb from limb. Had she always been this blood thirsty?
She brought her gaze back to him and grinned proudly. Her tail seemed to brush against the earth as it wagged back and forth. "That was wonderful, perhaps next time I can hunt for you." Well, she didn't actually know if there would be a next time but part of her hoped so. It had been lonely, so lonely.
"You should eat first.." She said, though her voice was unsure. She had no idea about pack standings or even if two equal wolves were to eat together. He was supposed to eat first seeing as it was his kill... right?

He chuckled at her words. So she thought there would be a next time? Well that was pleasing to hear. He enjoyed the company greatly and would of course look forward to it. But he was a wanderer so he did worry that perhaps their paths would not cross again.
"hmmmm? me?" he asked curiously ticking his dull eyes upwars to get a good look at her. Caleb was one for manners and despite ranks, he usually allowed fems to eat before him. Wasn't it, afterall the gentlmenly thing to do? He nodded and leaned forward, beginning to rip apart some of the meat at the base of the stomach before looking back at her. "Dig in too, I really don't mind if we eat together, afterall it was if you."

At his offer she just nodded and moved forward, quite comfortable to tear into the delicious flesh. She said nothing while she was eating, and she did not look toward Caleb while eating. She felt a little odd eating with another, and decided watching others' eat made her a bit uncomfortable. But it was still greatly appreciated and somewhat fun, to share a meal with another. It was something that Fayina did not get to do often.
After a little while when her stomach felt full enough she moved away, her tongue running over her chops. "That was very good." She murmered, grinning. She began to lick at her toes, eyes half shutting. Food was always cause for a good nap, so she was feeling a little sleepy. "Thank you again, Caleb."

"you are welcome," he said kindly his eyes never leaving her form. He had had his fill and the blood and flesh was now warming his belly. He licked his snout and raised his head up towards the sky before dropping it back down to look at her. "I suppose I should be taking my leave," he said quietly. It wasn't often that he was able to experience anything with another.

Fay nodded slowly as she watched him. "Well, I hope to be running into you again." She said, honestly. She too stood and shook off, gaze flickering around the trees. Where was she to go now? "Goodbye Caleb."
