The silence that followed made Cecil's heart beat at a rapid rate as the spider person came closer.
Suddenly, WHAM! some person leapt on it. A person who seemed to have wings as well. The silence was broken as Cecil opened his beak and let out a sound, a high pitched, almost siren like bird call, the clear sound echoed through the island. His eyes were wide as he quickly shut his beak and stepped back to the tree his notebook was stuck on.
That was the first sound he's made since... Ever. s**t... Out of all the moments he could make any kind of sound from his mouth, he was part bird, gotten face to face with a giant spider thing, and witness someone go head first into said spider thing. He was expecting a happier moment, but hey, whatever works.
Cecil kept back as the spider screamed, he covered his ears with his palms, the sound was like slime running into his brain. He couldn't help whoever was on the spider right now, being as helpless as him, all he could do was watch.

The moment he leaped up into the air, Michel knew he wouldn't be able to make it. As quickly as possible, he closed his eyes and braced himself for impact. When he collided the the arachnid person, It wasn't really what he expected.Tiny little pinpricks of pain seemed to bloom all over his arms, neck, head, wings, and feet, basically everywhere that wasn't covered with clothing. He sort of heard a weird, animalistic scream from the thing he had bumped into, as well as a shriller, more bird-like one. For Michel's addled brain, however, the two noises seemed to come from miles away. There's was only one thing he was thinking of at that point; Get away.
Michel attempted to roll of the spider creature, causing only more pain as the hairs, which was the source it all, dug deeper. Once he had reached the ground, he clumsily began to sort of hobble-run. His wings opened and weakly fanned the air. He jumped and was able to get off the ground. For a few minutes, Michel seemed to be doing all right, until his wings gave up, and once again he was sent plummeting to the ground and into more innocent people. The victims this time, though at this point, Michel could not care less about who he had hit, were a sort of dog-looking man and someone who just looked like a regular guy, no scales, feather, claws, beaks, or any of that stuff that Michel had become so accustomed to seeing.

She was free, it had gotten off of her! A shriek was dimmly heard by her mostly unformed ears, the vibrations in the air caught by the fine hairs. Quickly she clumbsly backed off, raising her upper more human body high, her four arms held up in a typical spider defensive stance, her chelicerae (the large mouth pieces on her face) were lifted up displaying her large fangs. Her feet shuffled as she followed the movement of the attacker until he was safely away, but didn't relax at first, there was still another one nearby. With her poor eyesight she watched the attacker hop-jump away and lowered her arms slowly, now feeling confused and embarrassed once he crashed into the other pair that was further away.
Georgia looked at the blurry image that was the other bird person, her feet shuffling awkwardly as she considered leaving, she was now very much on edge. "Uh, wut wuf fhat?" She winced at her slurred speech, conversation wasn't going to go very well, she thought.

Cecil took a moment to interpret what she said. It seemed like she wanted to know what flew into her.
The mute shrugged, he didn't know the other bird's reasoning for jumping into danger, and he didn't want to go through all the trouble to sign a fake reason. His face still had a look of terror on it, but he wanted to avoid the whole "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!" reaction, the girl was the only one that came to help him, besides, she was a spider, he would bet that she could climb trees better than he can.
Cecil slowly and gingerly gestured to her to get closer, and pointed up to the branch that his notebook was in.

The human was in control now, obviously it wasn't an attack upon her person as they haven't come back. Still, she was still unnerved.
She saw the bird person wave again, but this time she saw he was waving her closer then pointed into a tree. Relief spread over her as he didn't seemed terrified of her appearence, or at least didn't run away or freeze to the spot. As Georgia came closer she could make him out better and yes, he was some sort of bird, but he still looked partly human, like her his changes wasn't complete, yet she still felt she had got the short end of the stick when they were giving out serums to unsuspecting people.
Peering up into the branches she could see something up there. "Ith fhat whut yu wunt?" She spoke slower, trying to concentrate on the indivual words so her new friend could at least understand her. Georgia wasn't really sure if she could climb the tree, but she saw spiders climbing up walls plenty of times.
The tarantula put her four arms up to grab hold of the bark and surprisenly enough she felt the fine hairs on her palms almost stick to it. Lifting a slender leg she hoisted herself upwards, moving one arm at a time at a slow pace, her other leg lifted up and found a groove to settle on, although she found it quite easy to grip the tree she didn't want to risk slipping. Soon her last two legs were on and she made her way up, still holding onto groves on the tree, she slipped once but easily regained her footing. With a stretch she grabbed the notebook, but dropped the pen that was with it then climbed back down.
Her heart was beating faster at the excitement of climbing the tree. Something she wasn't allowed to do when she was a child. If she could've grinned she would've, so Georgia settled with lifting the bottom of her eyelids up. "fher yu go." She slurred handing the bird his notebook.

Cecil wished he could smile with his beak, but all he could do to show his gratitude were wide, happy eyes of thanks. It was hard to convey feelings with a giant beak for a mouth. He took the notebook and saw the pen wasn't there. He looked on the ground and scratched his head. Cecil swore he had a pen in the book before... He looked up at the girl and made a small bow, a thank you.
He tried to avoid staring at her, but he also couldn't just look away nethier, he didn't want to give the wrong impression, and he couldn't talk his way out of it like other people, because how he moved, showed what he meant. Right now, he was caught between disgust, fear, and a natural but morbid curiousity, it wasn't easy to show any of them without writing. Not like he would or anything like that.
The young man made a writing motion on the notebook with his free hand and shrugged his shoulders. He wanted to know where the pen was.

It probably was a blessing Georgia couldn't see very well, not knowing when someone had a look of disgust on their faces unless they made wide motions or screamed made her think that they weren't that scared of her. Sometimes ignorance was bliss in the spider's case.
At this point Georgia wondered if he could speak, he had bowed and she took it as a thank you, maybe he found it hard like she did or he simly couldn't talk with his beak.
She tilted her head when he made odd motions. Ah of course writing, a pen? Her main arm, the one that probably was once a human arm motioned over by the tree. "Ith fel." Then shrugged. She didn't see where it fell and she doubt she would be any use looking for it in the darkening sky.

Fell? Oh. It was getting dark, he wasn't going to find a miniscule pen in this light. Cecil didn't want to be caught outside on the island on a night like this. Lots of nocturnal ones around, and he didn't know what they ate. Hopefuly nothing avian, but better save than sorry. He started to walk and beckoned the spider girl to follow him back to his duplex, where there was light, and pens. Definately pens.
A small piece of instinct filtered through his brain as he walked, and his pace quickened, anixous to get to the duplex.

Georgia wasn't worried about the dark, in fact she prefurred it to daytime, or it could be the spider liked it better and the human was just going along with it. Well trying to seperate the spider's mind and the girl's was starting to become more and more tricky recently. Reguardless she didn't feel exposed as much as the sun made it's decent.
But she followed, she might be able to eat something in the cafeteria rather then living on rats and insects. Since her recent change, Georgia had somewhat moved into the jungle, by reasoning that it was safer from predatory islands or those that really didn't like red kneed tarantulas. It could also be said that the openess of the village didn't sit well with her inner arachnid. Tonight it would probably be safer for all concerned that she went and fed the beast before another poor islander stumbled into her while she was hunting.
So Georgia followed meekly like some bazaar eight limbed dog following its master to warmth and food.

Every day Cecil lives, it just gets more and more ackward. First he sprouts wings, feathers, a beak. Next he learns to sort of talk, if birdcalling is considered talking anyway, now he's leading a giant spider woman to a place he only calls home. Everything in him was telling him to run, but his legs won't listen, it was getting harder and harder to resist the urge to just burst out, wings flapping.
He was looking out at the moon, it was full. He looked at it, entranced by it's immense pressense in his eye. The bright orb filled him with comfort, and even more strange, joy, It made him want to.... Sing. But he couldn't... Could he? Cecil noticed that he was just standing there watching the moon, he snapped out of it, and kept walking until he got to the duplex.

Georgia stopped when he did, wondering why he was staring at the moon so intently. The bright orb was really no interest to the girl, except that it looked pretty. Her duplex wasn't far from his when they got there, how long has it been since she was in there? Weeks? Months? It had probably gathered dust by now. Everything she owned besides a few modyfied tops she stashed in the jungle was left in the duplex forgotten and so easily given up.
She didn't want to stay in the village, she wasn't even sure why she was following the bird man except because he waved her to follow, well that and the prospected of food. Still, she looked around nervously like a mouse creeping into the cupboard of a house. Weary that she would be caught soon.
Her eight eyes looked longenly towards her duplex, but she knew she didn't belong there. Not anymore. Had they turned her into a house spider, well maybe she would've felt different about it.

Cecil finally reached his duplex, to his relief. He opened the door and went in. The place wasn't decorated too much. You had a desk on one end, a stack of notebooks in another corner next to the bathroom door. A bed with a few framed pictures of his family and friends on the endtable leaned on one side of the room. His alto flute was in it's case on the desk, right next to a pair of speakers he sometimes uses with his Ipod, which was conviently placed next to them, as well as a huge cup full of pens. The carpeted floor was littered with feathers, and there was a hint of blood if you looked closer.
Duplex sweet duplex. Cecil thought. He refused to call it a home.
He picked up a pen from the desk and wrote in his notebook. Cecil showed his writing to her, he wanted to give her the notebook, but something inside him said not to.
Hi, It wrote, Name's Cecil.
It was so surreal, he was making introductions now.

She waited outside, silently and still, feeling the air around her and the vibrations they carried. She didn't really look into his place, her eyesight couldn't pick up the details of the blood, but it was hard not to notice the feathers when she glanced in at first.
Georgia's senses was on alert, she was in the open and as long as she kept still nothing should see her, both harmful and edible. The spider wasn't scared, just uneasy and hungry, but not impatient. She could wait forever it seemed and will never grow impatient, except for the human part of her and right now the human side was looking over to the direction of the cafeteria.
Georgia came up to the doorway not making a sound, her four legs moved unnatually compared to any other four legged creature, the light inside was bright but managable as her weak sighted eyes got used to it.
The arachnid looked at the pad shown to her and the scribble written onto it. Her human features frowned, she wasn't quite sure how she would pronounce it and with her mouth screwed up like it is, she'll probably never pronounce it correctly. Still. "Sheeshal?" That didn't sound right. Stupid S's. "Surshal... Sheshil?" She shook her head admitting defeat, it wasn't as if he could correct her.
The pen and paper wouldn't have done her any good, her fingers had been fused together forming two larger fingers with limited mobility and a smaller thumb, she doubt she could hold the pen correct to make some sort of coherrant wording; maybe she should learn sign-language or something? Placing a hairy hand on her chest, she spoke her own name. "Gheorghia." Admittedly she had been practising words by herself in the jungle to pass the time, including her name. "Kaffiteriah?" She motioned to where the large building was, it wouldn't do well at all if she suddenly tried to eat her new friend.

Nothing gave Cecil the shivers more than letting her into his room. There was a feeling of sickness and claustrophobia seemed to fill the room, Cecil's wings flapped gently, it may not have seemed like much, but it was evidence of Cecil's restraint from running. The bird was not wanting to be breakfast, lunch, dinner, or any other kind of meal. There was nothing he wanted more then to get out of there.
He sorta deciphered her name from the accent, Georgia? He wrote, showing it to her with a confused look in his eye. Cecil was relieved to find that she wanted to go to the cafeteria, he nodded, and started to walk out of the duplex, taking his notebook and pen with him.

She nodded to his written question blissfully unaware with how uncomfortable he was around her. She would have smiled if she could that he agreed to go with her, she liked to have company even if the spider disagreed.
As they made it to the cafeteria she slowed her pace, hoping there was nobody else around, not everyboy was happy to see her and she didn't want to run into those people. It seemed clear so her legs were brought closer to her body one at a time as she went through the door.
She looked back at him, maybe it was the uneasy feeling that he would run away when she wasn't looking, he wouldn't have blaimed him if he did, Georgia would've had she been in his place, but it still hurt inside.
She walked up to the counter pondering what to eat. The spider wasn't fussy as long as it was meat, but much to Georgia's reluctance it liked it's meal live. Thankfully she still had teeth and still a remblence to her old mouth under the large fanged mouthparts, so she didn't need to necessarally puriefy it.
