nothing was that hard if you exclude the two weapons (if you are a sicko and decided to play the game for 150 hours such as myself)

yeah the weapons were the biggest bugger of all, Sephiroth varied. I saved it relativly close by and sometimes I could do as soon as I turned the game and others it would take a while to do. but excluding sephiroth and the two weapons... I would agree with... I can't remember who said it, but yeah the boss in Wutai was a b*****d seeing as you had no materia at all and if you hadn't trained your characters up enough it was a tad hard so yar I'll try and think through all the discs and get to an actual answer.

i dont think there can be a definate answer to this becuse you fight differant bosses at differant lvls. for example sephy was a pushover if you have KOTR and lvl 99 chars but i dont think anyone could kill the Midgar Zolom when they were there ._. but could kill it in 1 hit in the 3rd disk.
to find the ultamate boss take this into account
alhtough my favorite was Schizo :3 he was kinda hard if you wernt prepared

Well...I never actually finished FF7....all because of that stupid Demon's Gate boss. I got my @$$ handed to me by a freekin' wall!!!

in my opinion the demons gate was more of a challenge then seph was, even when i had chars lvl 60ish and didn't have KOTR, as long as you knew how to play the game (since you were at the end you had better of learned), and had the right materia on the right people, and the right limits for the right chars, you could beat seph with out using a single summon.
But the demon's gate set me back for about two weeks.
It's either the demon's gate (in the temple of the ancients as you're running away) or ruby weapon.

I would have to say the ruby weapon but in the storyline i would say...jenova on the ship when your sailing

Sharingun290 Sephiroth. Try fighting him without Knights of the Relm...... I did... at 51 and I still killed him without KOTR. He was a lot easier than the weapons, and the only annoying part about Sephy is "super nova" but that's only cause' it takes so damn long

Sharingun290 Sephiroth. Try fighting him without Knights of the Relm...... First time I beat the game, my characters were barely in the 50's level wise, and no KOTR, no ribbons. It's a pain at that level with little to no help, but it can be done, so safer sephiroth...not so hard. Ruby though, is a thorn in my side...

Jayden_Yamamura Ruby weapon isn't really all that hard if you do it the right way. enter battle with 2 dead characters. attatch final materia to pheonix, wait until after he puts his fingers into the ground, use hades and paralyze him, and use knights of the round as much as you can. try not to attack the fingers though, cause he'll pull them out of the ground and use whirlsand to get rid of some of your characters xD I just fully equiped cloud then pwned him. 1 on 1 cloud was the clear winner.

I would have to say the robot before you have to chase after the Shin-Ra sub. I could never bet it unless I had the Knights of Round Table Mateira.
