Meeping, Safi did his best to dodge the sudden barrage of snow; however, lying in the snow distinctly hampered his ability to dodge and he wound up resorting to the wing-deflection method once again. Laughing, he raised the other wing, waving it so that it would be visible above and behind the other one. "Truce! If we keep this up much longer, all that's going to happen is that we're both going to get frozen that much faster." And who wanted that?
Without lowering his wing, Safi peeked around the edge of it enough so that his eyes and the top of his head would be visible to the mare. "Fortune, eh? I don't know whether or not I should trust you; seems like you might just be pulling my leg." Him, suspect someone of underhanded dealings? NEVER!

Fortune snickered gleefully and stopped her snow flinging, "Truce, truce. How am I supposed to know that you're goin' to keep your end of the truce, huh? We better shake tails on it or something."
Frozen, indeed. She was already starting to feel the effect of the snow but damned if she wasn't having fun. The dark mare could handle cold for the sake of fun.
"You caught me, my name is Slick and I'm a spy for the monster at the bottom of the lake. I've come to eat your brains and put you in the water so it dissolves your feet as a sacrifice to my dark lord."

"Shake tails, huh? Well, normally I prefer to shake wings on it, wings being much more binding than tails, but I see that you're distinctly lacking the necesary appendages."
The light grin on the blue and white stallion's face belied any serious intent behind the words, but even that wouldn't have had him uttering the potentially offensive words if he didn't think that Fortune was alright with being wingless. Some Soquilis could be very self-conscious about being wingless, after all, but in this case he didn't think so. Consequently, teasing was perfectly alright.
And she obviously felt the same way, feeding him that line of utter nonsense. "Slick, is it? Well, you've obviously come to the wrong place if that's your mission, because as anyone with a lick of sense could have told you, I don't have a brain. Not even a trace of one!"
