I'm going to buck the trend and say I love to cheat. I'm into the bragging rights for games, I just want to finish them.
Having said that, I don't cheat in RPGs (Except FFX, but I did beat it first), I cheat in first person shooters and the like. Unlimited ammo, God mode, you name it, I want to use it. Not walking through walls, though. That's gotten me into heaps of game-crashing situations when you try to walk through a wall to nowhere.
But then, when I play certain games, I just want to kill stuff, not mess around with low health and that sort of thing.
Sooo, my point is, I like to cheat, but I'm impressed with people who can play the games through without doing so. I've never acquired the skills to play certain types of games. (Could there be a connection here? Nah, I didn't think so. wink )
To cheat or not to cheat: It's up to the player! However, if you're playing multiplayer with someone, unless you're both cheating, no way!

However, if you're playing multiplayer with someone, unless you're both cheating, no way! and here I was starting to think I had forced all the cheeters into hideing with my speech blaugh welcome abord, break in the trend! you must be like... the opposite of me, I simply can't cheet no matter what. And I can't stand FPS, at least not since I went to the vidio arcade and found some kid who thaught he was all that playing a cops-shooter game and sticking the gun in his pants like the gun wasn't fake and attached to a game. Then he had the nerve to look at me and nod like he was impressive or something! gonk I love RPGs and simply can't grasp how you can't beat a game without cheeting. I just don't get it.

I can't bring myself to cheat at games. lol There's something satisfying about achieving something on my own without the help of something. It's like "yeah I did that" ^_^

Like everyone else, I'll use a walkthrough occationally when I get stuck. But actual cheat codes, no way. If I beat the game and have done everything possible and I'm just playing just to pass time then I will.

I'm just a messed up person that way. 3nodding mrgreen Oh hey, those are fun. ^_^ Oh yes,yes they are. twisted Also finding the little glitches are the best in the game. 3nodding

red_moon_wolfess: Different people, different ideas of fun, I guess. mrgreen
It drives my partner nuts that I cheat at just about everything. He wouldn't let me use cheats in Diablo II until I'd successfully beaten normal mode lol But it turns out that's one of the games I like to play without cheating. Sometimes, anyway. mrgreen
Peole who use cheats just so they can say they've beaten the game annoy me, because I don't think you've earned any sort of bragging rights by doing so. What's to brag about, really? Oh, yeah, I've killed by using God Mode and Unlimited Ammo. Easiest fight I've ever had. rolleyes
And I won't be driven into the abyss because I've got an unpopular opinion. blaugh

Im a total cheeter, God mode is my bestest friend ever. Granted you cant really cheat in a racing game, and thats most of what I play. Outside of that. I will take every cheat I can get.

I confess, I do cheat. I cheat, but usually I don't cheat (except for walk-throughs occasionally). I try not to use walk-throughs-most of the time- except when I'm absolutely stuck and don't have a clue about what to do next. However with some games I feel that in order to fully appreciate the game I'd like to be able to complete as much of the game as possible. I feel that without a walk-through sometimes then you can miss key elements in the game. For me, gaming is not just about the gaming experience, but also about the story. However, let me re-iterate: Most of the time I try to play a game *without* a walk-through. Furthermore, after I finish a game once sometimes I want to play it again, but this time obsessively. That means finding every side-quest in a game, not too easy without a walk-through.
Also, some games like "Age of Empires" are a blast to play with or without cheats. On it's own, the games are extremely addicting, that is most definitely true. But, some of the cheats are just so ridiculous that it's too fun not use them. I can't remember every cheat in Age of Empires at the moment, but I do remember there being such cheats as a rocket launching car, catapults that launch people, and the ability to transform bowmen into trees that walk on water. Sometimes it's just fun to blow things up in a game where you usually don't. I did cheat more when I was younger, but now I try to cheat less.

red_moon_wolfess what do you think? to cheet or fair and square? why? I use an occasonal cheat, but I only play against the computer. For example, I always use the god cheat for Obivion because I die almost instantly and I can't even start the game.
