I refuse to be Christian. I don't want to be. Ever. There's nothing she can do. She can't sue me. She can take my books, items and whatnot and I'll still refuse to become Christian again.

I learned to hate christianity when I was exposed to it. What's your point? I never told you to be christin. I told you keep up a facade and waiit until you don't need her to live to practice your chosen craft.

That was respect. Its called respect for the person that I can only understand with the information provided for me seeing as the internet serves the purpose of hiding people as well as bringing them together. If you want better replies, then post more information to use.

Religionless, no. Practiceless, yes. You can believe whatever you want to believe. Just don't show it. What do you worship? Are you against idols or for them?

If its the goddess or god, get barbie and Ken dolls to symbolize them or something. If you worship mother earth, light a green candle that they get at those CHRISTIAN religon stores and claim them for her. Or grow a plant in her name.

Just don't do anything that looks wiccan. And like ...iono who he is, but he said "Dont do anythig with tools" Befoe you go to bed, lye awake and meditate on your deities. Thank them in your head. Trrust me, they'll understand. They arent like God, who if you don't do EXACTLY what he says, he'll smite you.

Iono what you've been doing so far, but Im telling you not to practice. Go ahead and believe. Just don't do anything.

Of course. smile Plenty. I never had to hide it myself, but I understand that for some people, they need ...alternative approaches.

Unfortunately, what Aila does say is the truth. You are still under your parents roof and what happens under it is their rule. But they also need to know that you are your own person. You make the rules for yourself and have a mind of your own.

Of course, you will need to respect them too. But I'd think if you continue to belief what you do, and say it to them.
Tell them that that isn't what you believe. And keep bringing it up when religion is apart of the discussion.

Eventually, I assume they might be thinking 'Okay, theres no way I'm going to change her mind'. Even if they think you'll be going to hell for it. Just tell them that your mind has been made for a while now. And just as they are strong in their faith, you must be strong in yours.

I don't believe faith and belief in something can be forced upon, or be made. In many respects it comes from our hearts, and souls, from past lives and what not. It just becomes what feels right.

I like the quote another (spirit) has said through me. "If its there, your heart will lead you to it."

And it is the truth.
Your heart will keep you on your path as long as its necessary.

*sigh* I have pretty much the same problem with my Dad, exept I made the mistake of telling him. Unforunately Aila is right about the legal thing, until you're 18 (or 16, I can't remember) your parents have a right to choose what religious education you are given. But for all those who think telling your mother will make things better I can tell you it's not always true.

I thought letting my Dad know would allow me to be more open, I thought we could co-exist and coem to an agreement, the oppisite happened, now Dad dosn't even like me watching Charmed (He even asked if I knew that Wicca and Charmed were different evil ) I have to smuggle my tarot deck around, I'm not even allowed candles of any sort and Dad accuses me of casting spells if I mutter to myself.

You're damned if you do, damned if you don't. Keep'em hidden and don't let her know. At least then you won't have to face constant suspicion about all your activitys. Keep it underground until you can move out. (It's painful, I know. I've been studying Wicca almost a year and I've never even seen a circle casting.) Practice in non obvious ways like meditation. And as for your original question on top of high shelves or bookcases is good, they can't be seen from the ground. Just so long as no one else uses them.

Little kids, your kids, or grandkids going up to the bookshelf and reading all the interesting books you have.
