Amélie nodded her head, encouraged by the other female’s rejuvenation. She could sense the pain still there- but the other wolf seemed strong enough at the moment to ignore it. That was good; soon she would not need an excitement like seeing her sister to distract her strong mind from hurting itself. She would do with rest though, of that Amélie was certain. Then again- so could she. Even though she’d been sleeping prior to this, the pangs she had absorbed in her own mind had tired her out considerably.

“This way. The den is not far from here,” The silver wolf spoke softly, making sure to keep her motions in tune with Hallie’s in attempts to not walk too fast or too slow for the other.

Cassidy, meanwhile, was catching some of her own z’s. The pups had just about started to meander on their own, and with faith that their father or cousin was not far underfoot, she rested peacefully in perhaps the first time since they had been born. Upon first glance as Amélie and Hallie approached, it might have been apparent to Hallie that she’d gained quite a bit of weight since she was a lean youngster. Cassidy, chalked this up to the kids [shehoped], and had been concocting some sort of exercise plan to deploy after they were weaned. But concocting was tiring.

“Cassidy-“ Amélie called, and the brown wolf shifted in her sleep.

The fledgeling seer followed the silver wolf through the forest. She didn't dare wander off, for she was in strange territory and she could easily get lost. Plus, she was on her way to see her sister! Finally! She had so much to tell her!

Wiggling with excitement, all of her seer problems and headaches just seemed to disappear. How could she think about them at a time like this? She was about to see her sister Cassidy, the one she had been sent here to find. It was a glorious feeling, knowing that she hadn't failed her mother in her mission.

As they came upon the sleeping form of Cassidy, she couldn't help but stop and just take in a breath. Her sister... and she had a lump attached to her?

That lump, in fact, was the small look-alike Cassidy that was Eli. She had found wandering around the lands rather boring this day, and so she had decided to attach herself to her mother and do whatever her mother did. In this particular moment, it was sleeping, and she wasn't complaining about a thing.

A wave struck Hal's brain, and something told her that lump was her niece. Smiling, her eyes watering, she wagged her tail, her rump going with it due to its amazing speed.

"Cassidy..." she whispered.

The brown wolf shifted, feeling Eli move beside her. Her daughter! It made her heart burn. But something in her sleep was broken, and she found herself stirring. Someone had called her name. “Yes, Eli?” She asked the sleeping child, her eyes blinking hazily when she noticed she was still sleeping. Cautiously she passed her tongue across the female’s back, a surge of pride causing the end of her tail to sway. That was when Hallie spoke.

“Hm-?” Cassidy balked, turning around to face the two females. “Yes, what is it Amélie?” For a long moment, she did not recognize the female in front of her. But as she waited for Amélie to say something- her eyes drifted towards the other girl. She was a young wolf, not yet out of her adolescence. Tan coated with lovely black markings- almost like....

“Hallie?!” She suddenly yelped, and jumped up to her feet. Making sure she didn’t launch Eli from her, she turned around and nosed her safely to the ground, and then jumped forward to see the female. “It is you! Wha- what are you doing here?” Was mother here too?

Eli normally would have awaken almost immediately, being as she was a relatively light sleeper and she was rather comfortable with her mother's warm body right next to her. This time, however, she remained fast asleep. It was probably due to her being exhausted from all of the adventures she had been taking lately. Though it could have easily been something else...

Whatever it was, Hallie was most certainly happy that her niece had remained sleeping. She didn't think she could handle seeing her extended family quite yet, not with everything else she was dealing with. Plus, she wasn't so good with puppies.

As Cassidy arose and finally recognized her, the fledgeling seer wiggled excitedly and yipped, pouncing forward onto her sister.

"Cassidy!" she cried. It had been too long since they had last seen each other, and she realized just how much she had missed the other in that exact instant. Oh, she never wanted to be away from Cassidy every again!

"I came looking for you. Mother wanted me to find you and to see if you were alright," she explained, calming down a bit though her tail was still wagging quickly. Giving her sister a quick once-over, she settled herself down upon her haunches and got serious a bit.

"How are you?" she began, not quite wanting to prod into the whole puppies ordeal yet.

Cassidy’s yellow eyes warmed eagerly, and she shook her head. It was impossible! But here she was! Her little sister- almost all grown up! And mother had sent her? It was just like mother to do something like that; but she couldn’t help but feel delighted. After she had come during that winter, she had felt miserably detached from the family she had left. Now it felt rushed back to her, and for a moment, she was overwhelmed.

“I am fine!” She finally spoke. “Oh, Hallie! Look how much you have grown! I did not even recognize you next to Amélie. How are mom and dad?” Not getting along, she imagined. But she had long since stopped trying to figure out her mother’s relationship with Jaden.

“And, look-“ She spoke, looking to Eli. “My daughter! Eli! She looks just like mother. Only, well, without the white spot, but really-“

Hallie looked over her sister. She seemed older in a sense, but also in a good way. She looked more.. mature? Was that the right word for it? She wasn't sure, but whatever it was she believed that her sister looked absolutely beautiful. She had always thought that.

Wagging her tail back and forth, she smiled brightly. "I'm not a little pup anymore, sis!" she claimed, laughing slightly. No longer a puppy. No longer would she be underestimated because she was small and so very young. Nope, now she was close to adulthood and no one would be able to mock her for how tough she tried to be for how young she was. She'd prove to everyone that she was capable.

At the part of their parents, Hal shook her head and chuckled slightly. "Mom and dad are... the same. Bickering and being their normal selves." Of course, that had been when she had left. When she had been a puppy. What were they doing now?

As Eli was introduced, the adolescent froze for a moment, going rigid. Puppies. She was an aunt. As her eyes fell upon Eli, she tilted her head and wondered what to say.

"She's beautiful," she murmured, not really knowing that she had done so. "Just like you, sister."

Cassidy brimmed eagerly. “Oh, they always will. I am shocked they let you go! It was hard enough when they sent me off, but you must be here to follow up on me.” She chuckled, and then gently moved to her daughter, and nuzzled her. She was a fine girl, and mother would have been proud of her. Both Eli- and Hallie. Particularly Hallie at that moment. She was shocked to see such an adult looking Hallie. From the corner of her eyes, she noticed Amélie skirting to the side.

“Have you spoke to Phib yet-“ Cassidy started, before becoming distracted and looking towards Hallie. “Oh, though- you do look tired Hallie. Have you been well? You should rest a while! The pups are all out causing disasters elsewhere- except my Eli dear,” She commented, looking towards the pup. “You should take some time to relax! I need to find Wrigley! Oh- he would love to meet you. I’ll have him get you something nice to eat. And me too, while he’s at it.” She grinned.

Hallie grinned. She always knew her family was smart. "Yeah, they sent me out here to find you," she explained, her excitement fading away now that she had been with her sister for a bit; but that wasn't to say that it was completely gone. She didn't think she'd ever get over her pride in the fact that she had accomplished what she had been sent out here to do.

As her sister moved over towards the sleeping pup, her eyes followed. They looked so strikingly similar. She wondered who the father was and what he was like. She'd have to follow up on that, to see if he was good enough for Cassidy.

"No mum! The flowers," Eli whimpered, obviously dreaming about something strange. It was hard to tell if she was actually asleep, however, as a moment later she seemed to spring up randomly. Her eyes looked a bit tired, but other than that it didn't appear as if she had just woken up from a nap.

"Mother, the flowers," she repeated, glancing around her. As she did so, she spotted a large wolf--well, large to her--and tilted her head. "Who is that? Eli.. don't know, no. Who?" she urged of her mother, sitting awkwardly as she lifted her head up to peer into her mother's face. Who was this strange wolf? And why did she interrupt Eli's nap? She frowned. Eli was having a good dream.

Hallie's ears folded back. She felt awkward with puppies. She didn't know why, but it was just something about them. But she didn't focus on Eli now. She figured Cassidy would deal with her daughter soon enough. So instead, the fledgeling seer put her attention back onto her sibling, since she was speaking now.

"I've been well enough, sister," she started. "But I have been feeling rather exhausted lately." As the brown female spoke of her other pups, the adolescent shivered slightly. There were more small wolves about. She wondered if she'd feel strange around them too. "Wrigley? Is he... the father?" she asked, feeling rather awkward doing so. "Oh, food would be lovely," she smiled, chasing her thoughts of puppies away.

Distracted by her daughter’s words, Cassidy turned away and moved to her, nuzzling the small child with the end of her nose. “It’s alright Eli, I know,” She hushed, and gently picking her up by the scruff of her neck she carried her towards the opening of the small rock dip the family used as a den. She sat herself down, placing the pup between her paws, and went about licking the young female’s ears. She adored Eli, even if there was indeed something strange about her at times. If anyone ever brought it up, she’d be sure to let them know her mind on it, that was for sure!

“I can imagine-“ Cassidy continued, shaking her head. “So far to travel! I barely made it myself, if it were not for a wolf named China Blue, I might not have. Wrigley is the father. I think you will like him- he reminds me of the wolves back north. He’s a good soul.”

"I will call him soon, I think. We will have something to eat. I won't hear of you hunting until your feeling rested." Cassidy spoke seriously, her neck craning.

Eli whined, wanting to go back to sleep so that she could fall back into her dream. Why did she have to be woken up now? It had been a good dream, and she had wanted to see the end of it. But, she figured, she was supposed to meet this new wolf first then see her dream. She did believe, after all, that there was a certain order to everyone's lives, and what happened, happened for a good reason. Who was she to argue?

Sitting at her mother's paws, she watched the two older wolves as they conversed. But who was this new one? She smelt a little funny.

Her nose twitching, Hallie peered down at the pup. Such strange things she was talking about, but it must have been her dream. Yes, it was. She could feel little trickles of the dream coming from Eli's mind. But she didn't want to have a any information or thoughts in her head other than her own. She'd have to learn to control that.

"I probably wouldn't have made it so far either without the wolves I have met," she admitted. Well, some of the wolves she met, anyways. Some she could have done without. Like Aziz. Or Darius.

"Wrigley," she mused, toying with the name in her head. Didn't sound familiar. She'd definitely have to check him out, just to make sure he was doing a good job taking care of the family. After all, she couldn't have some low-life, lazy wolf looking after her sister and her nieces and nephews. It simply wouldn't do. No, she'd certainly have to test him. But that was for a later time. For now..

"I'm not about to argue," she laughed slightly, the ache in her bones making the idea of hunting for herself appear rather flat. And she wasn't stupid either. She knew when to rest and when to move on. Now, it was the time to rest.

The brown wolf smiled and nodded her head. “Good, good. I’ll have him do that just as soon as I settle Eli back down.” To that, she nuzzled the small female’s ears. “I’ll make sure the little hooligans don’t disturb you either. I’ll go speak to Phib as well, maybe he’ll come by later to get an update on how things go.”

She stretched herself out, and rose a yellow eye towards Amélie- who until this point, had been keeping quiet. The silver wolf now nodded her head polietly, and wagged her tail. “Yes, yes. It is good, I think. You do not need to speak to Phib though, I’ll go talk with him now. He promised me a fish tonight, so I should be after him anyways.”

Cassidy pulled her face into a grin, and she licked the top of Eli’s head continuing her speech to Hallie. “Rest, I think. Then we can take a walk around. It’s so different from home here.”

Eli wiggled slightly as her mother spoke about settling her down again. Maybe she'd get to see the end of her dream now! Oh, she was so excited. Yipping, unable to say anything, she wiggled again as her mother licked her head. After she felt she wasn't going to receive any more kisses upon her forehead, she jumped to her paws then raced over towards the den.

"Sleepy, sleepy Eli," she spoke, yawning for emphasis. "Bed?" she asked, her eyes wide with excitement. She was a weird pup, she was. Not many other pups liked their nap times.

Hallie smiled slightly as she watched the little brown pup. Was she or anyone else in her family so energetic and enthusiastic as a puppy? She couldn't remember. Even her own puphood, it was a bit of a fog. And she wasn't born until after everyone else she knew was grown up and no longer a puppy. It made her rather sad, knowing that she hadn't known anyone for that long, really. But, that didn't matter.

Nodding to her sister, the adolescent moved about then sank down to her belly. "Rest then a walk around your home. I think that sounds nice," she spoke, her tail wagging behind her. Then her jaws opened wide in a rather obnoxious yawn. After it had settled and faded, she folded her ears back slightly. "It seems I've been spoken for, already," she chuckled.

“You bet.” Cassidy remarked with a grin as she put her own head down on her paws. “Settle down now, Eli. We’re going to bed.” She’d never had a problem putting Eli to bed, that was for sure. Although she hadn’t actually meant to sleep, Cassidy did suddenly feel oddly lethargic. The excitement of today had tired her. Surely it wasn’t a quiet pack- but most of the surprises never pertained to her. It brought back memories of home- good, fond memories that she delighted in. She'd take good care of Hallie, until she had a livliness in her. She hoped the young female had nothing but stories to tell of her travels.
