Emo blushed bright red when he looked back in her eyes and was all worried about her. "No nothing is wrong just nervous..." She rubbed against him building her courage up to say what she wanted to. "Kit" She started and looked back into his eyes, "I...i...i love you." She blushed hard as she finally spit it out and covered her face by leaning against him and rubbed against his side with her face. She was so nervous and embarressed, but she had to tell him.

Kit looked shocked for a brief moment, his eyes enlarging as he blinked with a confused look in his eyes. There was a short silence as he blushed, unable to speak. Using his paw, Kit lifted up Emo's face. Then, he smiled, looking into her eyes, "Actually, me too..."

Saunter looked up at Kit and smiled yet her eyes were pleading and hoping. "Really? You mean it?" She was so happy that he felt the same way. He wasn't lying to her was he? She hoped not, she was so happy with him and so wanted to be with him. She never liked leaving him but they had different human friends, so they lived in different houses. She was happy here with him and enjoying the warmth. Oh how she hoped he wasn't lying and meant what he said.

"Yes, I mean it..." Kit smiled, nuzzling her playfully. The fire seemed so much more comfortable and warm, now that he had someone to share it with. "I'll never lie to you... I'm glad we met. Are you hungry?"

Emo smiled and relaxed a lot right next to him almost melting that she had someone like this with her. She never thought she would ever have a boyfriend or even a friend and yet here Kit had changed all that for her. She smiled up at him, "I hope so Kit, I am glad we met as well. Your the only friend I've ever had other than Hanako." She thought for a minute, "I am only a little bit hungry." She nuzzled him back and smiling up at him and licked his cheek and nose playfully and lovingly.

"Well then, I was hoping to get some cookies and milk out." Kit replied, giving a wink as he lowered his voice to a soft whisper, his tone one that was teasing, "They're supposed to be for Santa when he comes, but Christmas is all about sharing, right? I'm sure Santa wouldn't mind if we share his cookies!"
He chuckled, and placed a paw over Emo's back, "You're a really nice girl."

Emo smiled and blushed at the compliment, "Thank you." She looked up at him smiling and watching him wondering what he was doing exactly. "You dont need to get me any cookies, thank you for offering though." She nodded and laid there and stared at the fire. It was so pretty dancing there, and she was finally warming up.
