"Then I suppose you will never learn my name," she taunted, still holding the tip of her tail at Calamity's throat, beginning to put some light pressure on it, slowly increasing the pressure as each second went by. "But everyone has a point where they will eventually just give up and we don't want to have to go there now, do we?"

"Ah, well. That is true, isn't it?"
Calamity glanced down at the spade of her tail only momentarily. He was quickly growing less bemused with the situation. He was in no mood to make an enemy of her.
"But then again, what's a little blood between friends?"
In a few more seconds, he knew his sarcastic comment would come to fruition. His expression darkened noticeably, as he had no intent whatsoever at allowing her to have her way in this.
"If you're hell bent on cutting me, do it, and do it now. You're starting to try my patience, and I'd like to know sooner rather than later if you are an ally or not. "If your game is merely to assert your presence to me, consider the goal long since accomplished. You had me at 'torture.' But I hope you consider carefully just exactly what you want right now, because first impressions are quite a pain to overcome. Believe me."
His eyes, narrowed to slits, stared unblinking at the mare. Her behavior, were it to continue in this vein, would prove immediately too rash and immature to make her of any lasting interest to Calamity. And she had such great potential as a friend, too. He hoped, not for self-preservation's sake, that she considered most carefully her next course of action.

"Gwee," she whispered with a groan, pulling away from Calamity sharply. Ugh, why did she forfeit? This stallion was getting the best of Gwee. Damn it. "My name. It's Gwee."
Gwee sighed, turning away from the stallion.
"Are you happy now?" she said, furious at herself. "And don't think that I stopped due to whimping out, I didn't see the use of causing a fellow Kalona to shed their blood; no, we should be hurting the inferiors, not each other."

Calamity watched her with keen interest. He would have laughed at her frustration at "conceding", but he knew far too well that what had just occured was no loss...for either party. He felt an overwhelming sense of respect and hopefulness for Gwee.
Never taking his eyes off of her, he lowered his head and shoulders into a bow. "It is truely a pleasure to meet you, Gwee. And you are correct, and correct again. I think of you as no less than a goddess, I assure you."
The playful lilt in his voice was anything but mocking. He knew full well what had just occured, and found himself positively prickling. Not all the kalona he had met were apt to overcome their raging, predatory id. Her suppression of bloodlust was the sign of a higher nature. Cruelty...unfathomable power and stregth...all signatures of the kalona. But pairing that with fierce intellect? That was a double-edged sword, and it's rarity made it a prize beyond all others to Calamity.

"Oh, I'm a goddess? Is that so?" joked Gwee, somewhat flattered by the stallion's remarks. Was he trying to flirt with her? Ugh, Gwee hated flirting, its not that she disliked the occasional compliment, she appreciated them, she just hated returning the compliments.
"You're not as annoying as I thought you would be," said Gwee, trying her best to return a compliment. Gwee rolled her eyes. "Now don't try flattering me with any more of those 'compliments', please. Don't make me puke."
Gwee snarled at the stallion.

"Forgive me, I was under the impression that mares enjoyed compliments? I'll be sure to hold my tongue, should the urge to do so again ever arise."
He laughed and shook his head. How like a mare to confuse admiration and infatuation. Her prickly demeanor endeared her to Calamity more than ever. Were he genuinely interested, her immunity to flattery would prove a pleasant obstacle. No creature worth the chase would ever be so easily won over.
"So, what brings you to these lands? Are they more...flammable than your home? You could do quite a bit of damage here in the summer." He smiled, still charmed at her ability to breathe fire. How did she come about such a gift?

"I came here looking after...a 'friend' of mine," said Gwee, referring to her ferret, MoMo, who she has lately been considering as more of a source of hatred than an actual friend. "He ran away to these lands, but I found him. After seeing all the innocent Soquili here, I saw no reason to leave, all my victims of torture can be found here."
Gwee smiled wickedly.
"And you? What are you doing in these lands, or were you born amongst these...inferiors?" asked Gwee suspiciously.
