Ran's eyes narrowed slightly at Mai-lin. "No." She grunted and began walking away, heading back towards her apartment. What the hell is her problem? And what does she mean 'rooming with'? Is she in that apartment next door? She didnt even bother heading to a different store to look for cheaper fans, as she became secluded in her own thoughts.

Mai-lin blinked "She really is a teme." She muttered, pushing open the door . "Hey Himi-chan! Guess what, our new roomie is a mist nin. Joy, huh?" She said as opened the fridge, putting her food away. She had left the door to her apt open but didn't care. she walked to her room and pushed play on the radio so that music was blasting out. Himi had curled up on the couch and Mai-lin was putting stuff away again.

Ran sighed as she heard the music clearly through the walls. Isnt she the greatest neighbor? she thought to herself, putting her food away and leaving the fridge open for a bit to cool off. She'd have to deal with the girl, eventually. But, for now... Some food, and rest. She hadnt exactly gotten the chance to rest alot on the trip there.
Ran made up a small soup and ate it while sitting on her bed. She stared blankly at the floor, coughing occasionally. When she finished eating, she stretched out on the lumpy bed and stared at the ceiling, giving a small sigh. The music was starting to give her a headache.
Ran stood and exited her apartment and knocked on Mai-lin's door loudly. "Can you turn your music down?" She growled annoyedly.

Mai-lin looked up and blinked. She moved over to her door and opened it. When she saw who it was she pull Ran in and closed the door. Her cheeks were a bright pink and a small cup sat on the table in the living room. "What do you want, teme?" She asked, pushing the power button and turning off the music.
Himi looked out from under the couch and winced when she saw the human's look.
"Did you come to kill me like you killed my brother? Think I might be weak or asleep? Well I'm not!" Her words were slurred a little.

Ran glared at the girl in front of her. A slender dagger-like bone slid from her palm and rested against Mai-lin's throat. "If you irritate me enough, then yes, But," She paused in her words, "I dont know anything about your brother, so stop bringing him up. I'm only here as a transfer student, and do not want to be here in the first place. I'm here to 'keep the peace', so to speak, and I intend on doing that."
Ran pulled her hand from Mai-lin's throat and broke it off from her hand and dropped it on the floor in front of the girl before opening the door and exiting the apartment. She disappeared into her own room before giving a few coughs.

"Teme, teme, teme! Keep the peace my a**. Last time we sent someone over to your village to keep the peace he comes back dead." She muttered, even though she knew the other girl couldn't hear her. She slumped against the couch and put her head into her hands. "******** Mist nin! Why Li-wu! She started to cry, not noticing Himi get up and walk outside.
Himi jumped from the ledge of Mai-lin's appt and moved onto Ran's leadge. She scratched at the door and whimpered, hoping the new girl wouldn't be too mad. "Bark bark!"

Ran stood and walked over to her porch door, coughing a bit more. Opening it, she stared down at the dog. "What do you want, pooch?" She murmered, crouching down. "Come here to blame me for things I have no clue about?" She grumbled, standing up again. "Whatever." She went and lay back on her bed, keeping her porch door open even though it was letting in a warm breeze.
"My first day and I'm hated all over again." She murmered.

Anekio sighed softly, sitting on the branch of a high tree. "Troublesome little girls these days." She had heard majority of arguement from focousing Chakra to her ears. Looking over her shoulder, she sighed again. Must I really be their sensei, and who's the other kid? Jumping off of the branch, she landed smoothly on the ground.

Himi whined and walked in. She stood next to the girl and licked her face. She hung her head and barked again. She seemed to be saying she was sorry for Mai-lin.
Mai-lin cried herself to sleep, still slumpped against the couch in her living room.

Ran watched Himi for a moment and coughed a bit. She sort-of understood the dog's actions. "I dont really care..." She grunted. "I just hope I dont wind up training with her... its bad enough she's probably going to be harassing me since I'm living next door..." She closed her eyes as she lay on her back. Even though I know the teams have already been made, I hope I dont wind up with her. Not since she's started the blaming game.
"Go back over to her." Ran muttered, noticing that the dog was still there.

((I'm going to start a fire and heat things up. For real))
Himi was about to bark at the girl to say she didn't want to go -this had been her rom at one point- when she sniffed something. She yipped and ran out and too her appt. She barked at the girl on the floor, growling at the smoke at the same time. Mai-lin had left the stove on! Himi ran over and startd to lick the girl's face but with the sake she had been drinking the girl wouldn't wake up.

Ran groaned and rolled onto her stomach. She was about to fall asleep, when she'd realised she left the porch door open. Standing, she went and closed it to block off the warm breeze, when she suddenly stopped. There was smoke in the air...
Shrugging it off, Ran closed the door and wiped a bead of sweat from her brow before heading back to her bed. Laying down, she started napping. She wasnt asleep for long, though, as the heat was soon becoming unbearable. Opening her eyes, she noticed the haze of smoke on her ceiling.
Ran bounded off her bed and went into the hallway of the building, watching the smoke billow out from under Mai-lin's door. Swearing under her breath, she didnt stop for anything as she rammed the door open. Coughing as a wave of heat and smoke greeted her, she looked over where Himi was and spotted Mai-lin. Coughing some more, she went and picked up the uncontious girl, and then grabbed Himi before heading back to the door.
Ran groaned when fire blocked her way of the door, and so she dashed to the patio door. Managing to get it open, she jumped the fence on the patio and landed on the ground, coughing hard. Setting Mai-lin and Himi down, she looked back up at the burning building, and remembered her bag, but looked down at the uncontious Mai-lin.
Ran shook the Inuzuka lightly, and then a bit harder to try and get her to wake up. "Hey." She grunted. "Are you alright, dobe?" She asked, narrowing her eyes a bit as she thought about how the fire might've gotten started. According to where most of the fire was coming from, it had to've started in Mai-lin's kitchen... meaning the girl probably had left something on. "Wake up." Ran growled, shaking the girl some more before winding up in another coughing fit.

"Five more minutes, Li-wu." Mai-lin muttered before figuring out the voice had been a girls. She opened her eyes and stared at the coughing girl. "What the..." She then saw the fire and her face flushed. "s**t...Hokage-sama is so going to kill me..." She muttered. She looked back over to Ran. "Hey, Teme, you ok?" She asked softly.

Ran glared slightly at Mai-lin before her coughing subsided a bit. "Baka." She grunted, coughing just a bit more. "There goes everything I could ever afford." She looked away from the other girl to look at the burning building. Several people were working on putting the fire out, some of them shinobi using some water jutsu.
"Didnt anyone ever teach you to turn the stove off when you're done cooking?" Ran turned back to Mai-lin, a bit ticked off, but somewhat relieved that the other girl was okay and contious. No matter how bad someone was, they didnt deserve to die from a stupidity like that... even if it was their own stupidity.
Ran stood and coughed once more before letting out a slight sigh. There was still some fire left, and since she did come from the Water Country, she went and helped put it out with a few water jutsu's that were apart of the basics for all academy students of Kirigakure.
