Jaenelle smiled and nodded as he spoke. And then she stopped and observed him as his smirk vanished. Suddenly she realize, he had been hurt by another kyunru? A female kyunru? She blinked lightly, her pastel purple eyes brushing along his features. Maybe that's why he was the way he is right now. Closed to himself, not wanting to let the snow leopard get close to him. She sighed lightly, trying hard for him not to hear it.
So his turn came to ask a question. Saddest memory? The tip of her puffy tail moved from one side to another as she thought for a moment. She hadn't been around this place for a very long time, and really everything was enjoyable to her. And considering she couldn't remember anything she had lived before, she couldn't really think of anything... sad... The female kyunru looked down at her front paws, noticing her long braid falling around with the pink ribbon fallowing. She smiled lightly, but it looked more like a sad smile. "My saddest memory..." she said softly, still looking down as she pawed at the snow. "Realizing that I probably would never remember what happened to me before I went amnesic. The fact that I'll never remember those happy moments I might have had in the past... all gone and vanished." And for a moment, Jaenelle seemed to get lost in her thoughts. Never remembering if she had fallen in love? Never remembering all of her friends she might have had before? That was indeed pretty sad.
She looked up at Gabriel once more. "What is your favorite food" she asked, being spontaneous.

As she spoke, for the first time, the grey kyun offered the female a smile; a truthful, honest smile, that actually reached his eyes somewhat. However, of course, the femme had been looking down at the snow, and missed the gesture he'd offered her for a brief moment there; it soon enough melted into slight indifference then as he turned his gaze to the snow before his paws, his free one once more turning to draw pictures, circles and drawings upon its surface.
Sad indeed...
"I see..." there was no sarcasm within his words, but rather, an understanding that hadn't previously been there whence he had spoken before, "Well, at least you have thanks to give; likewise you can't remember those tragic bits that would've made you cry at night, nor those mistakes made in the past - it's evened out," a pause followed, his paw stopping it's trailing around the snow momentarily, "At times I wish I could do that; forget everything. Everything good would leave, but so would everything bad... it'd be a fair exchange, only instinct would be left," he turned to gaze at her languidly again, arching a brow that seemed to voice a clear 'isn't that so?', "I believe instinct would tell you if you'd known someone, or loved someone; instinct is a powerful thing - it'd show you want you can't see now."
It was hard to tell if he was trying to explain his train of thought or actually trying to comfort her, within that single phrase. Whatever the objective of his words, was lost upon her question; the male's eyes widened slightly, his mouth curving down in a distinct 'erk' as he gaze lowered down to the snow and away from her, "Food... well..." for whatever reason, Gabriel seemed flustered, his head bowing, his cheeks acquiring a color akin to a blush. He mumbled something under his breath; probably the answer, his eyes sneaking a glance at her before he noticed she'd probably not heard him at all, at which point he rolled his eyes, mostly at himself before leaning into her. His maw hovered millimeters away from her ear, "Strawberries..."
Leaning away from her, the male looked down at the snow again, looking for some odd reason, deeply ashamed and embarrassed; he'd always thought 'strawberries' were not a very manly food, but he just couldn't help it. Not only that, but he'd failed to note how it was possible to get him to practically sit down and beg, or even dress in drag for a plate full of strawberries, "What's..." a pause as he gulped and tried to regain himself, "What's yours?" another pause as he frowned at himself, turning to glance at her Finlay, "Food, I mean."

Her snowy white bangs fell on the sides of her cheeks and in front of her eyes, as she kept starring down at her paws to then notice Gabriel drawing in the snow some more. She smiled lightly to his actions, it was kind of cute to her. But he probably wouldn't like that if she said such things. He seemed to be the kind of male kyunru who would want to be seen as strong and manly like one. But he gaze went up to him as he spoke. It'd show you what you can't see... His words stuck to her. Was he proposing something to her? As if he was slowly starting to trust her? Well that would probably haunt her thoughts for a few days now.
Jaenelle's cheeks then turned into a very light shade of pink. Though you wouldn't have been able to tell if she was blushing, or if she cold made it turn that way. Unless of course, she told you. Because she was blushing. She felt warm inside, and it wasn't because of her thick snow leopard fur, it was because of him. Though suddenly her thoughts were interrupted and she let her feelings fly away. As he answered her question, he looked to be extremely embarassed. What could be so embarassing about someone's favorite food? Everyone has their own taste and likes. But quickly Jaenelle's cheeks turned pink again as he leaned closer to whisper in her eyes. And she giggled to his word. "Strawberries?" She looked at him with a warm smile. "Why would anyone not like them? They are so sweet and juicy!" she exclaimed with her usual soft tone of voice.
"I really like..." she paused, looking up at the sky, thinking. "Blueberry pastries. Either they are bagels, muffings or even plain blueberry bread. When it comes out, freshly made of the bakery shop, I just want to melt. Like butter..." she giggled to the thought. Her comment was rather silly, but she tried not to think about it while coming up with another question.
"What is your favorite pass time? Or hobby if you like." asked Jaenelle.

He headdesked at her words.
Or rather, he would've, had he had a desk to... hit his head on. As it was, he only had the snow in front of him and thus he allowed his head to fall forward into it. He instantly regretted this course of action, for the snow, he found, was cold. Oh so very cold indeed.
Sweet and juicy.
He head-snowed again as his mind repeated the words to him; for some reason, the fact she had mentioned such words in such an innocent manner making the matter all the worse for him. Allowing his head to hit the snow a third and final time, almost as if an insurance he'd not say something stupid right then and there, the male lifted it and gazed at her. Slowly, he lifted a paw to rub at his own nose to wipe away flecks of snow, a comical movement, really. His head quills also full of snow from his previous actions, however, they remain unseen to him, though obviously not to her, "Pastime?" this one he had to think over as he lowered his paw back to the floor.
Pastime. What was his pastime?
He was half tempted to say something akin to 'scowling', but for some reason, the male stopped himself and thought further, finding that his favorite pastimes were not entirely too manly either. A grumble bubbled up his chest as he lowered his head again, his ears flopping in an almost childish fashion, "I guess you can say that... what you found me doing when you met me is one of my hobbies," a pause followed, "You know... the whole tree thing," he didn't wait for her to acknowledge his words, but rather, turned his head towards the tree they were laying against and began to busk his head against it, his horns leaving long gashes as he cleaned and sharpened them against the bark. Only a moment was wasted doing the action and he turned back towards her soon enough, "That," for some reason, he couldn't help but smirk at her, the snow on his head quills still making him look rather comical.
As he settled himself down again, pressing his side against hers for warmth (It wasn't his fault it was so bloody cold and she was practically radiating heat!), Gabriel leaned in again, lowering his voice, "I also really like it when my human scratches me juuuuust right, behind my ear and horn," he flicked his ear almost as if to demonstrate the spot, "No one dares touch my head but her; they're scared," another pause as he leaned back, still smirking, however, it seemed to melt somewhat for some reason, "I also like sitting in front of the fireplace; I find fire to be fascinating."
He blinked then, almost as if noticing he'd said too much, or revealed something he'd not meant to; swiftly covering up, he waved a paw, "What's your most desired fantasy? Your unfilled dream?" he asked.

The female kyunru stared in surprise as he let his head fall into the cold snow, right next to her. She blinked a few times, trying to understand what was going on, but figured he probably had his own good reasons to do such things. She wanted to know, but didn't dare to ask. Gabriel then seem to think and answered her question. She laughed softly as he showed her what he meant, and she nodded, showing she understood clearly. Probably something every kyunrus with horns would do.
As he sat back next to her, closer to her, she had gotten used to having him so close now, and even though her cheeks were still light pink, she enjoyed it. Her warm fur provided him with eat he needed, and he provided her with the comfort she needed. A good match perhaps? She brushed it off and looked over at him, as he explained a little more, to then return to silence for a short period of time. She then giggled noticing that the snow was still on top of his head, melting lightly, but very well visible. She lifted her left paw and brushed it off of him. She then smiled sweetly. Hopefully that wouldn't make him unconfortable.
Jaenelle was suddenly caught off guard. A desired fantasy? An unfilled dream? Truely enough she did not know what to answer. Not knowing what she might have gone through and did in her past, it was hard for her to think about a proper answer, there was so much she felt she still hadn't done, hadn't discovered. "I would like to discover. To go through various adventures that would make me learn more about myself and everything that surrounds me." she said. "But most importantly, I would want to experience all of this with someone else. With someone that I trust and love... with all my heart." With that she looked over at him again, a tiny smile on the corner of her mouth. And for a moment, she felt like she was getting lost into his eyes. It was only them, there was nothing, there was no one.
Quickly she brushed it off! She had barely met him. What did she think? That he'd want to be her friend all of a sudden and travel around and everywhere with her? She shook the thoughts out of her head and then look around as the snow stopped falling slowly. And then she figured she could cheat a little as well. The snow leopard smirked lightly and turned her attention back on Gabriel. "What is your most desired fantasy?"

Once again, her question caught him offguard, however the smirk he offered her as her words settled in was diferent, "A nightmare's dream," the words were cryptic as he reached with his own paw to brush off what little of the snow remain upon his quills; tell trut, her reaching up to brush had been rather unexpected, if not slightly... interesting, really, however the fact he didn't wish her to be hurt by the quills settled into his mind. Despite his actions and his rough attitude, Gabriel had never been one to wish harm or pain onto others, or willingly dish it out unless heavily provoqued, so thus the stray thought did not bother him, "That's my unfullfiled fantsay; a nightmare's dream."
The words must've sounded strange, coming from one more used to being blunt than subtle, however, the only way his mind could put the thoughts together was within those simple words, "Love is dangerous though," the smirk had faded, his maw wrinkling with a touch of distaste, "Trust is dangerous too," he left the underlying messague out of the sentence 'Specialy for someone as selfless and naive as you', however, it could readily be underheard as he finished brushing himself off from the remains of the snow.
Finaly free from the white substance he offered the femme a questioning look, more along the lines of 'How do I look?' or 'Is it all gone yet?' than anything else; it was during that one instant that his mask and wall seemed to slip, giving a peek at he whom lay under it. It was a fleeting moment, brief, but it was there, seeking to peek out from under his usualy constant scowls. His eyebrow arched then, confusion seeping into his features as she stared into his eyes, wordlessly, "Are you feeling alright?" that was the only reason the male could find for her to actualy be sporting such a beahvoir; after all, he wasn't all that deft around feelings. He did however mentaly kick himself for even asking; who cared if she felt alright anyhow? If she didn't, she should leave.
Except... he kinda didn't want her too; okay, kinda a lot.
It was hard for him to admit that to himself, and thus he didn't bother to admit it to her, obviously, but rather, reached out with his paw to brush her chest, poking it in hopes it'd bring her back down from whatever Lala land she'd sunk into, "Anyhow, my turn," bringing the paw he'd outstretched up to his chin to rub it, Gabriel flicked his tail; it landed around her slightly, though he didn't seem to notice. The fact the metal quills had no sensitivity might've done the trick for him, "Let's see..." a pause followed before he seemed to settle for a question, however, he seemed restless, awkward, "Do you..." he seemed to hesitate, pondering his question through before he wrinkled his nose, "Tolerate me? If so why?"
The question had been haunting him for a while now, and even though he'd wished to say 'like', he decided against it, substituting it for 'tolerate'; he felt it was a safer word.

Jaenelle blinked in surprise to his answer. A nightmare's dream? What kind of response was that supposed to be? Well really she wasn't too sure. It didn't exactly make sense, but she didn't dare to ask. She simply nodded as if understanding and then looked in front of her as if something had caught her attention. But as she looked back at him, she got lost into his eyes without realizing it. Though quickly she snapped out of her thoughts as he questioned her. "Oh. Yes! I'm fine." she replied shyly as he cheeks turned pink once more.
As a silence came between them, the young female looked down at her front paws, trying to shrug away her embarassement. Good way to make yourself look silly! she thought. Her eyes gazed back at him when she felt his cold tail around her. Perhaps did he realize she felt embarassed and wanted to make her feel better? She smiled to herself and dedicated her attention back on Gabriel as he asked her a new question. As he finished, she looked up at the sky, thinking silently. "Well it's not that hard of a question." she started saying. "Yes, I do tolerate you. In fact, I guess I could say, I even like you." she smiled over at him. "I think it would take a lot for me not to be able to tolerate someone. Everyone has their own personality, likes and dislikes. It's just a matter of getting to know them. Honestly, I don't see why anyone wouldn't be able to tolerate you." she finished.
The tip of her puffy tail flicked up and down for a moment. "I guess it's my turn." she said, thinking for another question to ask him. She didn't really want to send his question back at him and seem like she couldn't come up with a question of her own. "Ah!" she exclaimed, almost as if lighting stroke her with an idea. "Would you ever like to have a family?" she asked.

She did not speak up, but there was no reason to; Gabriel had been wacthing her for a reaction quite intently indeed. Thus he needed her to breathe no words to know she'd been confused by his words. A smirk crawled upon his maw as he leaned in slightly, his head quills brushing against her head softly, "You understood none of what I said, did yah?" he waited for no answer; hedidn't need it. Not really, for he'd seen the confussion swarm her eyes, even when she'd nodded; he'd done the same thing countless times when talking to Fafnir... when in doubt or confused, Gabriel was used to nodding dumbly, and thus was instantly able to recognise the gesture, "It's okay to ask, you know."
He paused his talking to allow those few words to sink into her; to allow her to take them in and understand their meaning, then he waved a paw slightly, never leaning away from her, "A nightmare's dream," he breathed as he smirked even wider, a sad edge to the gesture as one of his fangs overlapped his bottom lip, "Think about it; a nightmare is a thing that hurts others at night, a state of mind while you sleep. A creature that others stay away from or others repell can be thought of as a nightmare," he paused and finaly leaned away; the smirk was gone, instead replaced by a solemn appearance, almost as if he were thinking and chosing his words with care. Something the silver kyun wasn't quite known for doing, "What would a nightmare's dream be?" a brow arched, "To have what it can not; and what can't a nightmare not have?"
He almost pondered leaving it at that; it was just not his style, however, he'd found he rather liked watching her get flustered, so after a moment's hesitation, Gabriel leaned into her, her maw resting against her ear, "The one thing a nightmare can not have..." he whispered against her pelt, "Is the love of another."
He finaly leaned away, tucking his front paws under his chest, making sure to fluff himself out somewhat in an attempt to keep them warm; her answer to his own question made him hesitate for a moment. Just for a moment... he seemed lost in though, as if now in turned confused by her words, however, the words turned into a light understanding and he nodded to himself, as if he'd come to realise something he'd been previously ignoring, "Ah," the understanding slipped past him and into the air for her to hear in that one silable, however, he found no way to answer her question.
There'd been a time he'd desired a family, yes, but then he'd wished to stay as far away from that thought as posible; he'd remained that way for ages before idly noticing that it was still desired, even craved, deep down. There was no way to voice the thoughts, so thus he figured that one action was worth a million words. This in mind, he moved closer to her pelt till his side brushed hers, "There was a time I did want it," turning his head, he leaned it towards her, his maw grooming the side of her neck, below her ear, almost impulsively, "Then after She left, I no longer desired it..." still grooming her pelt, he continued, his voice a mumur against her, "Now I'm not so sure..." a pause followed, his tongue pausing it's labour as he thought, though it promptly continued ina few bare moments, "What about you?"

The snow leopard kyun's ears perked up lightly when Gabriel started to explain to her what exactly he had meant by 'A nightmare's dream'. It seems like it didn't him long to realize that he had confused the poor girl. She nodded a few times, taking in his words and trying to understand the relation between every single one of them. As he finished with his sentences, her mouth motioned every words of 'The one thing a nightmare can not have is the love of another'. Jaenelle seemed to be lost in her thought for quite some time there, but soon snapped out of it when she noticed Gabriel laying down. Slowly she let her front paws slide on the snow and laid next to him, to keep the warmness between them. It had been very comfortable for all this time they had been chatting.
And finally now he answered her question. Her beautiful eyes gazed over him with a warm feel to them, listening carefully. As he leaned closer to groom the side of her neck, she almost froze in place, not sure what to do. Her cheeks turned pink in a slight second. But after a minute or two, she got around to not feeling so shy and just simply letting him do. It seemed to be some sort of way for him to show his affection? She smiled lightly. "Not sure anymore... ah?" she said, not exactly meaning for it to be a question. She then paused as he sent the question back at her. "Hmm." she thought for a quick second. "I'd definetly like to have little kyunrus running all over the place around me one day... but I'm not sure if I'd want that to happen right now. Considering my situation as I don't remember my past. I think I'd like to learn to live around here, before taking such a serious step as to... having a family. Children..." she said with a nod. She turned her head to smile over at him.
"What would an ideal mate be to you?" she asked.

The question forced him to look away from her, the pause awkward, as if she'd struck some cord in him that he wished not to acknowledge. Tell truth, he wasn't entirely sure if he was content with where the conversation was going, or if he was upset by it, however, despite lacking the knowledge, the male finaly answered, "One that would not abandone me," it was truthfully as easy as that.
Her words had struck home too near for comfort however, and the male was suddenly all too aware that what had started as a game and a means for him to pass time was getting much too personal. Slowly standing up finaly, he shook himself free of any remaining snow that clung to his form, pausing to look Jaenelle in the eyes, if only briefly before he forced himself to tear his gaze away. This was, after all, dangerous terrain; for him, and for her too, though he doubted she knew that much.
Too soon, too much, too fast, his mind screamed at him. However, leaving without any other action or words was not something he wished to do either, so thus with a small smirk, the male lowered his head down to touch his nose to hers, "I'm feeling kinna cold, and slightly confused, so I'm gonna go inside and rest by the fire place for a while, love," the last word, 'love', had no real meaning behind it, but rather, was a nickname he seemed to have given to her, "You're free to join me later, if I've not already repelled you, mmm?" and so after a moment's pause, and a small furtive lick at her nose, more teasing her than anything, he padded inside slowly.
There was much to think about after all.

Jaenelle realized a little too late once the words had came out of her mouth. She didn't want to make him feel like she was pushing him to answer, by no means it was perfectly fine to her if he refused to answer. Yet it was too late, as Gabriel spoke. Her pastel eyes observed him with a warm kind of look. It seemed like she had touch a sensitive spot? She looked down at her front paws, not exactly sure what to say anymore. But soon enough she stepped closer to her and pressed his nose to hers. Cold? She blinked. It was indeed rather chilly, but her wild snow leopard gens kept her warm under her thick fur. I guess this couldn't exactly last forver... she thought to herself.
She nodded to Gabriel quickly. "That's fine, go on ahead." she said. "I'm going to stay here, the chilly breeze is comforting me." she smiled. And with that. The silver kyunru left her side, leaving her around a white coated forest.
