Why did I join? Well, for many reasons, to be honest. AT my High School (which I'm almost out of, YAY), I joined the Gay-Straight Alliance. I got to know the guy that started it, Dwayne, pretty well, too. I've always been extremely tolerant and understanding. On a band trip to Colorado, we stayed in Condos with groups of six people. One of my friends, Evan, flat out refused to stay in teh same room as Dwayne, despite being a GSA member himself (He's so fun to tease now. Mind you, it's all just friendly teasing). I'm the one that ended up staying in there. During that time, Dwayne and I got to know one another even better. Another of my reasons for joining would have to be that I despise cruelty of any form, and hate to see people singled out and picked on. And, my final reason? I'm debating if I'm bisexual or not; I've always been overly caring, compassionate, neat, and tidy. I don't like sports like a typical straight male; and I've never had a problem with seeing other men (such as in the showers in a gym or somesuch), like most people would.

I joined because I'm 3/4 Lesbian (long story), and GLBT rights (or should I say the fight for them) is a huge part of my life. It's really nice to be around others who share in the same goals as I do for the future, and also people who know what it's like to be in my shoes. I just really enjoy like minded people. I also hope that being a proud member of the GGSA will help bring others to the Guild and whatnot smile

Matdredalia I joined because I'm 3/4 Lesbian (long story), and GLBT rights (or should I say the fight for them) is a huge part of my life. It's really nice to be around others who share in the same goals as I do for the future, and also people who know what it's like to be in my shoes. I just really enjoy like minded people. I also hope that being a proud member of the GGSA will help bring others to the Guild and whatnot smile *HUGS* w00t! biggrin

I joined because I love being around people with similar beliefs on things. ^^ Plus, this is a great homophobe-free place to chat and talk about things. I saw a banner for this guild in a signature, and I am really glad I had been curious enough to see what it was all about.

Yay for all the happy-minded people here! It's so cool to hear about different people's backgrounds, but they all joined for some-what the same reason in the end! biggrin It is....the cool-ness....
