RP started here: Preschool

were girl
Lester nodded, "there was this cat boy who seemed to be so against it he attacked me" he said and then spoke again, "don't worry, my sisters rabbit (or my werewolf sister) will do the digging, I'll do the growing of them, you can plant them into the ground and my sister will water them" he said proudly that everything was organised and ready to be done.

yellowgreen
Sybil seemed a bit outraged, "Why wouldn't he want to plant the forest back in? He must have been confused."

But she smiled at being given a job to do to help the forest. This was going to be fun!

were girl
"Maybe. . ." said Lester and pointed at his bandaged foot were the cat boy had scratched him, "although I wouldn't expect him to know the beauties of the world, since he was blind . . ." added Lester quickly. And took out a box of seeds from his pocket, studing the seeds through the see-through box, "when do you think we should start?" he asked quickly.

rimedragona
"Are we going to plant them here? In the preschool yard? Will the teachers let us?"

Sybil bit her lip. This didn't seem like a rainforest to her....

were girl
Lester thought for a moment then shook his head, "too dangerous. . . if we plant them here some kids might harm them, and the teacher won't let us. . . we better start off with a park or something like that. . . and then move over to a real rainforest" he said after a moment of thought.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded. Lester sure thought of everything!

"So we just have to go to a park, right? I think there's one a few blocks away... in uhm..." she looked around, with a look of concentration on her face, "That way!" and she pointed.

"We pass it when we ride the bus here. Momma doesn't have a car..." She was nodding enthusiastically.

"Momma says I can't walk by myself, but if I'm with you, I'm not by myself, right?"

She was peering at the box in Lester's hands, at the seeds. "What kind are they? And we're gonna have to water them, right?"

were girl
Lester stood up and nodded, "but first we have to go over to my house and take all the seeds needed" he said and then looked down at the seeds in his had and gave them to Sybil, "its a present, these flowers fully grown in two days and make seeds very quickly, I bred them myself. . ." he said and got ready to go to his house, which was just across the street.

rimedragona
Sybil took the seeds and looked at them carefully from all angles as she stood up. She carefully put the box in the pocket of her sweatshirt, and brushed the dirt from her pants.

"Okay! I'll follow! Maybe I should tell Avery?" She looked around for her brother, and saw him climbing up the pole to the top of the swingset, for lack of anything exciting to do. Apparently Colette and Spiro weren't here today.

were girl
Lester gave as shrugg as he looked at her brother, climbing poles in lack of interest and gave another, smaller shrugg and then quickly said, "if you want to, I have no experience in other peoples brothers. . ." he said, "but its better you do or he will become worried" he said and stood there, glancing at the trees and grass with his glittering green eyes.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded in agreement, and then walked over to where Avery was currently reaching the top of the swingset, and about to embark on tightrope walking across the top.

"Heya, Syb, what's up?" Avery paused in his climbing and clung like a monkey to the metal poles he was hanging from.

Sybil looked up at him, and frowned slightly. That was too high for her liking... "Avery, I'm going to go plant trees with Lester in the park! Okay?"

Avery decided that clinging to the poles was uncomfortable, and was currently hefthing himself to crouch on the top of the swingset. He wasn't paying much attention, and so when Sybil asked, "Okay?", that was all he responded to. And being Avery, he responded in the affirmative. "Yeah, sure, Syb, okay."

He grit his teeth in concentration, having learned long ago not to stick your tongue out while climbing things. He stood up and begain to walk across.

Sybil made a face. "Be careful, Avery! I'll be back soon." and she trotted back to Lester. "He says okay." She beamed, glad she could help Lester.

were girl
Lester gave a quick and small nod before turning round and being to walk to his house, looking back to see if Sybil was following as he spoke, "first we'll go to my house and get the seeds and then set off to the park and plant all the rare plants" he said and took her hand as they crossed the road, walking over to his house which was white with a red tile roof. "here we are!" he said and picked up the door mat, taking a key from under it and opening the door of the house.

rimedragona
Sybil trotted to keep up with Lester, just about hanging on his every word, and showing more emotion than she did with just about anything other than her tarot deck. He gave off such contradictory vibes, he was simply facsinating...

"Is this your house? It's nice looking. We live in the kinder apartments..." She peered past him as he opened the door...

were girl
Lester nodded as she came in and closed the door behind her, "my mother and older sister lived in the bannir appartments but when they also adopted Sarah they moving into this house, so I've never been in a bannir appartment before" he said and began walking down the corridor to the stairs slowly, glittering his eyes as he spoke, "this way!" he said and motioned towards the stairs and began climbing up it.

rimedragona
Sybil looked around eagerly, never having lived in a house. It was so big! Well, reletively, anyway.

"Is this the way to your room? You have stairs! In your house! That's neat!" The only stairs Sybil knew about were the ones in the apartments, and they weren't in her house.

were girl
Lester gave a nod and stopped half way from climbing up the not-so-big stairs and turned round to watch her look around his and his sisters house, "all the rooms are upstairs, downstairs there's the kitchen (with the table and all), the big living room and cupboard" he said, quite proudly since no one ever had looked at his house with such interest. A small red potted flower began moving somewere in the corner near the stairs, as if watching the new visitor.

rimedragona
Sybil's eyes were busy roaming the house, and so as she was about to climb the stairs with him, they caught the slight movement where she thought there shouldn't be any. "Lester, that flower moved." She stated matter-of-factly, and pointed straight at it, as if daring it to move again.

were girl
Lester was about to go higher in the steps but then turned round and looked were she pointed and nodded, saying calmly, "In this house, all the plants move, you better not touch any" he said and then quickly added, "they can bite you know. . ." Then suddenly the plant turned its flower towards Sybil, as if it were a big, red eye, watching her.

Lester gave a nod and climbed up the last steps of the stairs and going onto the second floor, it was a long corridor with all its doors open except one, in the near end of the corridor. Lester cheaked it Sybil was still behind him and then began moving quite slowly down the corridor and towrds his room, which appeared to be the one in the end as he took out a shiny, yellow key from his pocket and began un-locking the door with it.

rimedragona
Sybil was still watching the plants a bit nervously, but when she heard the key click, she turned around and her attention was focused on the room that was revealed.

were girl
As Lester began opening the door with a loud creak rustling was heard inside and when the door was fully opened there was a whole jungle inside. There were vines (which were moving) all over Lesters book case and his books ('exctinct plants' or 'rare medicl plants'), there was a plant with long sharp spikes around what looked like a mouth which was chewing on a dragon fly. "Don't be afraid, they are quite friendly" whispered Lester as he walked into the room and the air was filled with the greeting chatter of hundreds of plants.

rimedragona
Sybil was unnerved, and she stuck so close to Lester she was almost walking on his feet. "Why are they all so different? They move." For once, she didn't act like she had had advance knowledge of things.

were girl
Lester smiled as he petted the dragonfly-chewing one of the head, "I breed them" he said and continued, "feed them special things to make them move and think" he said quite proudly, "I keep them as pets and so. . ." he added and chased a vine of his bed as he sat down, "it took me quite a while to breed them, especially that one" he said, pointing at a green, cat looking cactus which was playing with a string.

rimedragona
She watched him pat the dragonfly eating one, certain that he would lose a finger, and quite surprised when he didn't. She turned to where he pointed, and tilted her head at the strage plant... cat... creature.

"Oh. But you keep them locked in here...? Don't they get bored?"

were girl
"Mum will get angry if I let them out. . . I barely managed to keep them, once venus" he pointed at the chewing plant and continued, "nearly bit off my sisters (Marfa) tail and nearly ate my other sisters (Sarah) rabbit. they never get too bored since they have each others company" he said and continued, leaning back on his bed a bit, "I wanted to start a petshop with them but most of them are dangerous and who would want to buy something dangerous?"

rimedragona
Sybil could see his point. "But still... There must be someone? I think Avery would like one, maybe. He likes things that are scary and can bite." Whether Rime would let him have one is another question altogether.

"Does it poke you if you pet it?" she asked, pointing to the cat-cactus.

were girl
Lester shrugged, "if you manage to pet it, in the middle of july the throw off their spikes and grow some rough fur" he said and made a motion with his had to catch the cactus cats attention and then said, "Spiky, come here. . . this is Sybil" he said and pointed at Sybil, making the cactus cat curious and it began approaching.

rimedragona
Sybil's eyes widened. She wondered what to do, and finally decided to kneel. She crouched down, and held a hand out to it, so it could sniff it, or do whatever to decide if it liked her or not.

She hoped Spiky wasn't poisonous.

"Uhm.. hello, Spiky. I think you're very interesting. Would you like to be friends?" She decided to treat it as though she were meeting a new person for the first time, in case it understood her. Sybil didn't know if it did or not, though.

were girl
Lester smiled and his green eyes glittered as Spiky sniffed her hand and then began waving his paw at it, wanting to play with it and rolled on his back, trying to batter the hand with his spirky paws. "Be careful. . . hes not poisous but it will take a while to get the stings out" said Lester, watching the sene.

rimedragona
Sybil smiled, glad to be making friends with Lester's friends, no matter how strange they might be. She giggled when Spiky began to bat at her hand, and she poked back, being careful to not actually get stuck by a thorn.

It was just like playing with a real cat! She'd met a cat once, at a pet store, and she'd wanted one, but Rime had been overwhelmed with kids at the time, and a cat just wasn't feasible.

"where's that string? Then I wouldn't have to worry about being stuck." She looked around, frowning cutely. She looked at Spiky. "Where'd you put your string?"

were girl
Lester smiled and spoke, "he might have eaten it. . . its about one piece of string a daya she eats" he said and stood up, opening one of his drawers and took out a long piece of string and gave it to Sybil, "here" he said and sat back on his bed, watching Spiky staring at the red string, ready to pounce or for a fight with it.

rimedragona
"Ate it?" She looked at the cactus cat with an incredulous expression. "I suppose it won't hurt him, if you said he did it before." She took the string, and flopped it out on the ground, pulling it slowly towards her, twitching it slowly. An unconscious smile grew on her face.

were girl
Lester smiled and his light green eyes flashed, "he usually drinks water and thats all, although sometimes he gets too playful and eats it" he said as he watched spike play with Sybil and the red piece of string. Spike crouched and then pounced on the piece of string but instantly jumped back, afraid that Sybil might attack him if he got too close to her.

rimedragona
Sybil made a face, not really happy that he was so cautious. But she flicked the string out again, a little closer this time, and started twitching it again.

"C'mon Spiky, get the string, it's gonna get awa~y..." She said in a quiet voice, as she slowly tugged the string along the floor.

were girl
Lester grinned a bit and sat up as Spikey jumped, not on the strin but on the hand moving the string, which he more intresting and m ore moving. Spiky battered the hand with his paw, wanting it to let go of the string so he could run away with it.

rimedragona
Sybil startled and said, "Oh!" as she fell backwards. She hadn't expected the cactus cat to pounce her hand!

But she had let go of the string, and she made a moue of dissapointment as it was dragged away by Spiky.

were girl
Lester jumped up from his bed and walked up to Sybil, asking, "are you okey? He's not poisonous and his spikes down remain in your skin so nothing bad happenes, it only hurts" he said and some of this plants were letting out giggling sounds, as if laughing at how Sybil got her hand scratched by Spikey.

rimedragona
Sybil looked at her hand, blowing on the small scratch gently. It really wasn't any worse than a normal scratch from a cat, but she'd never been scratched by a normal cat, much less a cactus-cat!

She heard the plants giggling, and she sent a cold glare around at all of them, before standing up and brushing imaginary dust off her pants. "I guess I'm okay. It's not too bad." She held it out for Lester's inspection.

were girl
Lester inspected her hand and said, "yep, its fine, but you still have to wash it" the plants stopped giggling at Sybils stare but began whispering among each other and glancing (or seemed to glance) at Sybil before quickly turning away before she spotted them looking at her.

rimedragona
Sybil could feel the plants watching her, and could hear them muttering amongst themselves. They didn't seem very nice.

"Okay, but where is the bathroom?" She was determined to ignore them. After all, she hadn't done anything wrong. They were just meanies.

were girl
Lestre nodded at Sybil and then did some sign in the air with his hand to the plants and they instantly fell silent. "Follow me" he said to Sybil and began walking out of the room. Spikey was still in his playful moon and pounced at Sybils moving feet, grabbing her right foot with both of his front paws, holding them and meowing playfully.

rimedragona
Sybil giggled and tried not to step on the cat. He was just playing, and she'd feel bad if she stepped on a foot. She didn't want to hurt him.

"Stop that Spiky! I'm just going to go wash my hand. Stay here!" and she pointed at the room before following Lester out the door.

were girl
Spiky instantly, when Sybil told him to stop, let go of her food and sat at the door way, as if waiting for her to return. Lester motioned Sybil to follow him down the corridor and pointed at a room at the right of the stairs, which appeared to be a bathroom even if it looked like heaven because of all the sweet smelling flowers and plants there.

rimedragona
Sybil looked inside the bathroom and her eyes widened. Were there this many plants everywhere in the house? And were these going to talk amongst themselves about her, too? It was enough to make her paranoid.

She shrugged, and breathing in the delicious scent, she went to the sink and reached up as well as she was able, but she was too short.

"Uhm, Lester? I need something to stand on." and she smiled sheepishly.

were girl
Lester gave a quick nod and said quickly, "right away!" and whistled, two vines streached out from the ceiling of the bathroom, holding what seemed to be a stool to stand on. The plants in the bathroom didn't seem to be whispering or giggling, a flower, planted next to the sink was holding some soap on its large leaves as if offering it to sybil.

rimedragona
Sybil smiled, and then stood on the stool. She took the soap from the flower, and said a hesitant, "Thank you..." before turning on the water and wetting the soap and her hands.

She worked up a lather, and almost dropped the soap once. But she recovered it, and placed it back on the flower's leaves carefully. She rinsed her hands, and turned off the water, looking around for a towel, which was nearby, before stepping down.

"I like these plants, they're nice!" Sybil declared happily when she was standing next to lester again.

were girl
Lester gave a quick nod, "these ones are special" said Lester, talking about the plants, "they have daisy and orchid gene's, it makes them kinder than the other ones with venus fly trap and cactus gene's" he said, a bit showing off with his plants, even if he had a bit too much of them, "the others just guard my stuff and room" he said and then said, "we wanted to take the plants and seeds and go to the park" he reminded.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded, a bit embarrassed. "But I've never seen plants like these before. Are we going to plant these kinds? Or just normal plants?"

She followed along behind him as she asked the question, after waving goodbye to the plants in the bathroom.

were girl
Lester thought and then nodded as all the bathroom plants waved back to Sybil as if sad by her leaving, "We'll plant a few of the rainforest kind and a few of my own plants from my breeding, I want to see how they get on in the wild" he said and walked back to his room, his plants handing him his pack and he started to put seed boxes and pots into it.

rimedragona
Sybil waited as patiently as a three year old is able while Lester packed his bag. She looked around for Spiky, but he was hiding somewhere as cats of any sort are wont to do, and she sighed, a bit disappointed that she couldn't say good bye to him. He'd been nicer than the other plants in here. At least he didn't laugh at her.

"Do I carry anything?" she asked, not wanting to be left out.

were girl
All the plants had stopped sniggering and Spiky was on top of the closer, ready to pounce at Sybils wings. At last, after a few seconds of crouching he finally pounced at Sybils back with a wild 'meow'.
Lester had just finished packing his seeds and plants and stood, up, not noticing Spiky on Sybil and waved his other plants goodbye and chittered something on their language.

rimedragona
Sybil was half turned to follow Lester, but she froze when she heard the meow, and let out a little cry of her own when she felt a weight settle on her head and shoulders. She could could feel a few small pricks as the thorns on Spiky poked her.

"Uhm... Lester? What about him?" she asked, a little tremulously, inching towards him.

Her wings were outspread slightly, and fanning just a bit to keep her balance with the extra weight on her head.

were girl
Lester turned around and saw Spiky on Sybil with a smile and a small glimmer in his eyes he took out two pairs of gloves from his front drawer and handed a pair to Sybil and put one a pair himself, talking Spiky off her head and cuddling him, "these are actually for biting plants but I think they are good for spikes too" he said, talking about the rough gloves.

rimedragona
Sybil took the gloves, and put them on, thanking Lester. She winced a bit when some of Spiky's thorns got caught in her hair, but nothing happned so she relaxed. She wondered why she didn't know that the cat was going to jump on her beforehand. She should have felt it's vibes, shouldn't she have?

"Is he supposed to stay here? Or can we take him with us? I think he wants to play! Maybe a harness?" Sybil asked as she reached for Spiky and held him gently with the gloves on.

were girl
Lester shrugged, "he's one of my newest plants to he's never been outside before and he can run away, I don't have any leash or rope to tye him up. . ." said Lester saddly as Spiky began making weird sounds, it seemed like he tried to purr but his plant name made him to squealing sounds which mde Lester giggle a bit.

rimedragona
Sybil looked down when Spiky began purr/squealing, and she giggled to, rubbing his gently behind the ears. "Aww, okay. I guess you have to stay here, Spiky. We're going to plant flowers and plants, okay?" and smiled at the cat.

She gave him a few more rubs, and then set him down on the ground, so that they could go plant the plants.

were girl
-missing post-

rimedragona
Sybil smiled as she trotted down the stairs after Lester, not noticing her green shadow. "Can I help carry something? I wanna help carry something." She could be a bit bossy when she wanted something.

were girl
Lester nodded and handed her a bag of what seemed potted plants, "if you can carry this" he said and then added, "if you can't I'll just give you the seeds to carry" he himself was carrying the seeds and another bag on non-potted plants and he too didn't notice Spiky creeping behind Sybil.

rimedragona
She hefted the bag in her small arms, and slung it so it was draped over her shoulder. it was a little heavy, but she didn't want to admit to it. Besides, it wasn't that heavy. She could walk fine. She hadn't yet learned that heavy burdens get heavier as you carry them.

were girl
"I hope its not to heavy!" Lester called back to Sybil as he walked outside and closed the door after Sybil and walked over to the road, waiting for her to catch up with her bag of pots. Spiky quickly climbed onto Sybil's bag before she slung it onto her shoulder and was now sisting on it, looking around.

rimedragona
Sybil was determined to carry it as far as possible. "I can do it! I'm not too little!" She stated. She noticed the increase in weight, but she was more concerned with the fact that the bag was shoving one of her wings out of it's normal resting position to notice that it was a cat on her bag.

were girl
Lester had noticed the cat-on-the-bag but was to busy looking at Sybil than to notice it properly, "You sure?" he asked, not wanting to annoy her yet he could see that it was to hard for her to carry, and he didn't want her to stumble or trip on the road.

rimedragona
"I'm su-" it was at that moment that she tripped over an uneven paver in the sidewalk, and she was falling forward, her mouth open in an 'o' of surprise, and she landed hard on her knees, bringing tears to her eyes, and a cry of pain from her mouth.

The bag didn't really hit the ground hard, having only about a half foot to go before it touched ayway. But she didn't let go of the handle, not until she was all the way on the ground, and could bring her arms to the front. The bag was sitting behind her, and a spooked Spiky stared warily from where he had jumped a few feet away.

She didn't cry. She just sat there, tears brimming in her eyes as she stared at her clenched fists on the sidewalk in front of her. She wouldn't cry, only little babies cried, and she wasn't a baby! I'm not a baby! she thought.

She expected Lester to be mad, since he had his plants in that bag...

were girl
Lester put his bag down on the side walk and ran up to Sybil, "are you okey?" he asked, thinking to himself that carrying things isn't good work for a girl, even one with wings. Lester gave Spikey one of his 'glittering eye' glances which made Spikey back away slowly and back into the house. "I think you should carry the seeds. . ." said Lester and then quickly added, "they are a bit more important. . ." he said, hoping the plants in the bag weren't damaged

rimedragona
Sybil stayed where she was, not moving a muscle, tense as she could get. "I'm fine." Which she obviously wasn't, but Who's gonna argue with a female? Even a small female?

When he mentioned her carrying the seeds instead, she sniffled finally, a couple of tears falling to hit the backs of her hands. "Okay..." she said softly, thinking to herself, I won't be a baby...

She hadn't even looked at her knees yet, which were scraped up pretty badly, and had dirt stuck in them from the sidewalk. They stung, but she was doing her best to ignore them.

were girl
Lester gave a nod and took off one of the bags from his back, handing it to Sybil and taking the pots bag. The seed bag was vibrating faintly as if a bee was flying inside but really there was none inside. Lester was about to go when he say Sybil's knee's, "Sybil. . . maybe we should clean your knee's and scratches before me go? My mum is the best healer around!" he said.

rimedragona
She looked up, still with some residual tears in her eyes. "Really? Does her kiss really make it better?" Rime always said that, but so far Sybil hadn't seen any actual results.

She accepted the seed box, and marvelled at the buzzing sensation. She looked guiltily at the plant bag. "Are the plants alright?" she asked.

were girl
"well. . . erm. . . I ment bandages and stuff. . . althought I heard that dog spit makes it better, and since my mums a werewolf. . ." he said and then stopped, since he didn't know what to say next about his werewolf mother. "my plants are always okey, I put these in special, protective pots so that they don't get hurt, I always put them in there" he said, quite proud of his care for plants.

rimedragona
"Oh." Sybil replied to the comment about bandages, and then continued, "I guess I should put a bandaid on them, right?"

"I'm glad your plants will be okay. I'm sorry."
she said, still a little upset that she had fallen.

were girl
Lester nodded and said, "wait a sec!" and ran into the house, emerging moments later with bandages and followed by a large, black and fierce looking wolf with green eyes. The wolf sat down next to Sybil, staring at her with its green eyes as Lester began opening a weird bottle.

rimedragona
Sybil's eyes got saucer-wide, and she didn't even notice the bottle as she stared at the wolf. But she wasn't scared, just amazed. She wasn't scared because she wasn't getting scary vibes from the creature.

"...Hello...?" she asked, carefully.

were girl
Lester took the bottle and poured some liquid on Sybils scratches to wash the dirt off and disinfect it. The wolf twitched its ears and blinked, in a moment the wolf began to grow and the fur began to disppear, in seconds instaed of a wolf stood a younge woman with black hair and green iris eyes. "Hello" she said, "I'm Martha, the mother of Lester, Sarah and Marfa"

rimedragona
Sybil had been tense, waiting for the liquid to sting, but as the wolf changed shape, she was so distracted, she barely even noticed.

"Wow! That was neat. Lester said you were a... uhm... werewolf? But I forgot..."

then she remembered her manners.

"My name is Sybil, how are you?"

were girl
Lester closed the bottle and was bandaging Sybils foot as she spoker to his and his sisters mother. "pleased to meet you, I'm fine" said his mother with an old fashoned bow and then took Lesters bottle and with another bow disappeared back into the house and Lester stood up, getting all the plants ready again.

rimedragona
Sybil examined her leg breifly, and then stood up, cradling the box of seeds very carefully. this was much easier to carry.

"I'm sorry, Lester. But we can go now, right?"

were girl
Lester nodded, "its okey. . . yep, we can go right now" and took the bag with te pots, begining to walk over the road again and waited for Sybil to catch up and then they could cross the road and go the the park with was across the road and a few minutes walk.

rimedragona
Sybil quickly caught up to Lester, but stopped to look both ways, making sure there was no traffic. Not seeing anything in either direction, she hurried across the road, feeling a little uncomfortable that she wasn't holding someone's hand to cross. She always held someone's hand.

But then she thought, But mom says it's because I'm little, and she wants to keep me close... I'm big enough to cross the road by myself, now!

were girl
Lester ran after Sybil and stood on the other side of the road, next to her in a matter of mili-seconds, smiling with his green eyes glittering, "your a very quick road-runner you know!" he said with a small and began walking in the direction of the grand park, with also had a forest next to it.

rimedragona
Sybil followed along, not knowing this route to the park, and looked around eagerly for familiar signs that the park was near.

"I have to be fast... Mom is so tall, and Avery is hard to keep up with!" she said, happily.

were girl
"You also have wings and a snaky tail!" he said with a smile, "And I have goat feet, goat tail, goat ears and green shining eyes, I think humans hada bad reaction when they saw us cross the road. . ." he said, smiling as he walked down pavement towards the park, knowing the road to it off by heart since he went there at least once a day and spent a lot of time there.

rimedragona
Sybil showed off her wings and tail proudly, then said, "Don't forget my horns! They make it hard to brush my hair, so it's short."

She followed Lester as he turned in the direction of the park, and looked around curiously at the people who were walking down the sidewalk towards them, on their way somewhere else. They often stopped and did a double take, though several of them also sported weird attachments, like coon tails and head wings.

She got varied vibes from these people, some seemed amazed, some were envious, and a few were hateful towards them. When she passed those people, she moved closer to Lester and tried not to look at them.

were girl
Lester smiled and walked down the sidewalk, looking around as he spotted his sister sitting under a tree, talking too squirrels near the parks entrance and payed no attention attention, only a slight glance in her direction as they entered. "We're here!" he said happily and walked on, looking around with his green eyes, searching for a good planting spot.

rimedragona
Sybil looked around too, but she didn't really know what would be a good planting spot. She thought somewhere sunny, a place where people didn't walk a lot, so they wouldn't get stepped on.

"Do you think over there is good?" she asked, and pointed to a secluded place on a small rise.

were girl
"Sure!" said Lester with a quick nod and began walking over to the place which Sybil sugested and took out two rather small shovels, handing a light green one to Sybil and took a dark green one himself, beinging to dig a hole for his favorite rat (and bird) eating plant.

rimedragona
Sybil applied herself to digging a good sized hole, and when she had dug down deep enough, she plopped down, out of breath. This was hard work for someone so small!

"Which plant can I put in this hole, Lester?" she asked, tilting her head at the plants.

were girl
"Let me see. . ." muttered Lester as he stuck an orange cactus into his hole and walked over to the plant bag, searching for a moment and then tacking out a bright red tree, about the size of Sybil herself, "here, this one should do it, it was one of my favorites" he said, handing it over to Sybil.

rimedragona
Sybil looked at it, and then took a deep breath. "What is it?" she asked, as she reached for the pot, to pull the plant out so it would go in the ground. It stuck a little, but when she kicked around the bottom to loosen the soil, it came out, though it was a little hard to lift. She set it into the hole she had dug, and began to scoop dirt back around it.

were girl
Lester shrugged and said, "there are two more plants to go" he said, handing her a plant which looked like a cuctus but instead of spikes it had bubbles and took out a look stick like one to himself and began digging a hole, suddenly rustling of leaves was heard and Lester looked up, worried.

rimedragona
Sybil had taken the bubble cactus, and curiously touched one of the bubbles. How strange, she thought, and shrugged, putting the plant into one of her holes, after she had enlarged it some.

She hadn't really heard the rustling, but she noticed Lester moving out of the corner of her eye, and looked to follow his gaze...

were girl
The bubble popped, squirting a bit of soapy liquid around as it was touched. Lester quickly grabbed his pack and stuffed their things in them, quickly planting a hedge like plant in a hole infront of their other plants as if to hide them and muttered, "time to go. . ." as black shadows of teenagers began to approach.

rimedragona
Sybil helped clean up the leftovers, and she felt a sense of urgency coming from Lester, and the slightly antagonistic vibes coming from the teens. She wondered what they would do if they found the plants. They were perfectly wonderful plants, and Lester had worked hard at growing them. The only reason she could think of that Lester would be worried was that they would hurt the plants.

She began to get mad, but she didn't want to fight with some teenagers... they were much bigger than she was. So she grabbed what she could carry and hurried to Lester's side, waiting for him to take the lead.

were girl
Lester gave a nod and grabbed the other bags, running forward in a quick trot and then to the right, hiding behind some trees and motioned Sybil to follow as the laugh of the teenagers grew louder, by the looks of it it wasn't the first time he met then and now he avoided them at all costs.

rimedragona
Sybil followed, crouching down and watching the teenagers. What were they doing? She whispered quietly, "Why are we hiding? Are they mean?"

were girl
Lester gave an impatient nod, waiting for the teenagers to pass as they talked and laughed before he answered in a whisper, "These humans hate anyone who doesn't look like them. . . in other words demons, angels, werewolves and other banir kinder" he said saddly, "Last time I was here they destroyed most of the plants I took it with me. . ." he said saddly.

rimedragona
Sybil was upset. Why would they do that? Because the plants didn't look like other plants? No one she knew was like anyone else! Even her mom wasn't really like other humans... she wasn't really human, she just looked like it. And Ritsu might seem human, but there was something... strange about him, but she could never figure out what.

So why didn't they understand that there wasn't anything wrong with being different? She wanted to go running after them and ask, but she knew they would probably just be mean... and they were so much bigger than she was. So she stayed crouched down by Lester until they he deemed it okay to come out. Lester knew what to do, she thought.

"I wish we could show them we're not bad... and they don't have to be mean to us..." she whispered sadly.

were girl
Lester shrugged, "you can try but it will end up in a big fight and we might not win it. . . Although I wouldn't mind to beat those guys up a bit. . . after what they did to my prized plants" he said saddly, "and my lyre. . ." he added in a moment, blushing slightly since only Satir's carried lyre's and he not only looked like one because of his ears, tail and legs but also loved nature like all satir's did.

rimedragona
Sybil momentarily forgot about the teens because of the new word. "Li...ar? ... Uhm..." she wasn't sure how to say that she didn't think she minded a liar getting beat up a little bit.

She peeked out a bit to see if the teens were away, but only leaned over as far as she had to for seeing clearly. "I can see why they would want to beat up a liar though..." she whispered. She hoped Lester wasn't really good friends with this liar person.

were girl
"A lyre is not a person if that is what you mean" whispered Lester, "its a musical instrument, one of my plants favorites. . ." said Lester and peeked out from behind the tree too and whispered back, "I can't hear them and I can't see them. .. I guess thay left!" he said happily and walked out from behind the tree, hoping to see that his plants were not found and damaged.

rimedragona
"Are you sure?" Sybil asked as she stepped out as well, and looked around. She sighed in releif when she saw no one.

"I didn't know there was an instrument like that!" she exclaimed, and smiled. "Are you going to get a new one?" she asked as they walked towards the plants.

were girl
Lester shrugged as he answered, "I don't think they sell them in this city, and mine was a one of a kind rare one. . ." said Lester saddly and ran over to the bush, cheaking on his plants and gave a sig of relief, "the plants are okey. . ." he said and then gazed at the sun, "well. . . our work is done. . ." he said and then added, "wanna go over to my house?"

rimedragona
Sybil didn't have to think. "Yeah!" she cried happily, and bounced up next to him, ready to follow. She already had the box she had carried here in her arms.

Meanwhile, Rime had been called to the preschool to attend to a badly sprained arm, which Avery had received when he fell off the top of the swingset. As she attended to him, she looked around for Sybil, and didn't see her within sight. Then she remembered the little girl had been burrowing in the pillows a bit earlier.

"She must have fallen asleep... ah, well, I'll go check on her, maybe."

were girl
Lester nodded and began walking towards the sidewalk and roack down the small trail through the trees, "don't you need to ask anyone permission to go over to my house?" he asked, it would be easier just to phone Sybil's mother but his mother told him he wasn't old enough for a mobile phone yet.

rimedragona
Sybil blinked. She hadn't thought of that.

"Yeah! I should ask Momma... but I don't know where she is. She's probably at work.." she sighed, a bit disappointed.

They continued down the sidewalk, and Sybil thought about how she could ask to go to Lester's house... Maybe if she asked the teacher lady, she'd call her momma for her? She didn't know, but it was worth a shot.

were girl
Lester nodded and thought for a moment before answering, "so. .. are you going to phone your mum some how if you know her telephone number or are you going to tell her in another way?" he asked, walking down the sidewalk, forgetting were he was actually going since he was lost in his thoughts.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded. "I'm going to call her. I wonder if Momma has her cellphone?" she pondered... and then shrugged. She'd find out when she got there and smuggled the use of a phone.

For now, she carefully carried her burden as she walked with a bouncing step down the road. The close call from the teenagers had made her a bit overly bouncy in relief, and her happy expression drew smiles from some of the people as they walked past.

There were still the others, of course. The ones who made faces at their animal-appearance, but this time she barely noticed them, her goal set for Lester's house so they could put away the planting tools.

were girl
Lester nodded quickly and said, "yes. .. we have a phone at home. . . do you know your mums phone number?" he asked, although he didn't quite care if he got the answer or not, since his main goal was to carry the heavy burden to his house, and not let the staring people annoy him. He could hear the people whispering and tried not to pay attention to them as they pointed.

rimedragona
Within a few minutes, Sybil could see Lester's house coming up, and she looked back to smile at him.

"We're almost there. I can see your house!" she said.

were girl
Lester smiled and nodded, begining to walk more quickly towards his house, even though the heavy weight didn't make him go very quickly. "I guess we'll be at my house in less than a minute or too. . . I wonder what time it is. .. " he said and wondered what his mother had ordered from the take-away, since she didn't cook much.

rimedragona
Sybil shook her head. She didn't wear a watch, and so couldn't tell. But the sun had definitely changed positions in the sky, and her stomach was beginning to grumble.

"I dunno, but my tummy is growling, so it must be dinner, right?" she asked.

were girl
Lester nodded, "I didn't know you had a psyhic tummy that could tell the time!" he joked and then turned serious again, "yes. . . mum ordered either mcdonalds food or chinese take away. .. do you like chinese food?" he asked as they neared his house and he could see a light in his sister sarah's room.

rimedragona
Sybil smiled at the joke, and nodded. She'd only had it a few times, but she had liked it. "Do you like orange chicken? I like it... Momma likes Japanese food more, though."

were girl
Lester shrugged as he walked down the small path leading to the door of his house, "I don't know. . . I've never tasted it. . . whats it like?" he asked as he opened the door of his house and stepped in, noticing a bit of smoke coming from the kitchen, "don't tell me. . . mums trying to cook again. . ." he muttered.

rimedragona
Sybil sniffed the air, and could smell a little smoke, too.

"Maybe she's grilling? Momma sometimes makes a little smoke when she grills..." she said with a cheeky grin.

Then she remembered his question. "Uhm... well... it's sticky, and sweet, and tastes a little like oranges... I like it, it's good!" she stood behind and to the left of Lester, and craned her head to look for the stairs she remembered.

were girl
Lester nodded and then added, "Luckly she bought a fire extingisher, (or what ever its called) last week. .. " she said and headed from the stairs as screams of latin slag words fired out from the kitchen, Luckly Lester didn't know latin and didn't know what they ment. "We'll put the stuff in my room and then go and help mum with putting out the fire. . ." Lester muttered.

rimedragona
Sybil was a little worried. Was there really a fire? She'd never seen a fire up close that wasn't in a fire place...

"Are your sisters here? And is Spiky going to be in your room, again?" she asked, remembering the cactus cat.

She tried to peer into the kitchen as they passed, but was unsuccessful. Next was the task of climbing the stairs without dropping something.

were girl
Lester nodded, "only one of my sisters is here, Marfa is out playing with her friends but Sarah is home, she's usually reading animal books or taking care of her multiple animals" he said and began climbing slowly and carefully up the stairs, and as he did so he added, "Spiky must be in my room. . . I hope he didn't cover my whole bed in spikes again. . ." he muttered.

rimedragona
Sybil's mouth quirked, but she held down a giggle. It was a strange situation, to come home to find the cat had shed stickers instead of fur on your bed.

"I hope he didn't, too. When he did, did you have to put it in the wash? Or did you just shake out the covers?" she asked as they reached the top of the stairs.

were girl
"both actaully. . ." said Lester, walking down the narrow corridor and turned, opening the door to his jungle room and added before walking in, "I put it in with the other clothes once. . . they got covered all in spikes too." Lesters room looked as clean as ever, most of his plants were already asleep but some began whispering as they walked in, Spikey was asleep on Lesters bed.

rimedragona
Sybil frowned when the plants started whispering again, and she asked, "What are they talking about?" she was tired of them talking behind her back, especially if it was about her. She didn't know if it was, however... maybe they just liked talking.

were girl
"Just stuff. . ." Lester said, putting the sack of items in the corner of his room and added, "that we're back late and all. .. " he said, but it wasn't complettely true, since it wasn't the only thing the plants were whispering about, they also whispered things about Lester having a girlfriend, but he decided not to tell Sybil about it.

rimedragona
Sybil shrugged, accepting the answer, and wondered where she should put the seed box. She thought that it probably should go by the bag Lester had been carrying, and carried it over there.

"This goes here, right?" she asked, and started to set it down.

Then she asked, "Do you think the ones we planted in the park 'll be okay?" thinking of the teenagers they had seen.

were girl
Lester nodded, "yes. . . it goes there. . ." he added as he sat on his bed, since he was tired from dragging the bag about on the long walk. "I'm sure they're going to be okey!" he said in a cheerful voice and lay back in his bed, smiling to himself, "But I'm not to sure for the teenagers. . ." he added, and his eyes quickly flashed a bright yellow colour, barely visible and a bit freaky for people who saw that.

rimedragona
Sybil was tired too, and sat down on the floor, leaning against the bedspread, and so missed the flash of his eyes. She tilted her head questioningly, and asked, "You mean, if they try now, the plants will get them?"

As she waited for his answer, she looked around the room, studying the plants like they seemed to be studying her, giving each one her individual attention. Each one recieved the same blunt stare, neither approving nor diapproving, merely observing.

were girl
Lester grinned and nodded, sitting up as he heard the plants begin to whisper disapprovingly, not liking to be stared at by Sybil, but since these plants couldn't do much he didn't do anything to stop the whispering. "Yes. . ." he answered at Sybil's question, "but don't worry, they only attack if the sense themselves or their friends in danger. . . so kind humans have nothing to worry about" he said with a quick nod.

rimedragona
Sybil gave up on the plants, not figuring she would win in a staring contest with something that didn't blink... but she was glad that someone just wandering past wouldn't have to worry about getting hurt.

"Do you think your mom is waiting for us?" she wondered, thinking about the smoke she had seen.

were girl
"Na" said Lester shrugging his shoulders, "My wolfish sister Marfa brought her friend in today and now Marfa I guess is packing up for some stupid trip to Vaticant and mum I bet is looking for her pendant" he said, angrily. He actaully wanted to come to Vaticant too, thats why he was angry, but it was a girly quest trip and he wasn't allowed to go.

rimedragona
Sybil didn't know this, and so she was confused as to why Lester was angry. "But... aren't you going, too? Aren't you taking a suitcase?"

She looked around for one, but didn't see one set out anywhere. Her eyes landed on Spiky, and she smiled. He was a cute kitty, if a little strange.

were girl
"No. .. " said Lester, calming down a bit as he sat down on his bed, "its their trip and stuff. . . only Aqua and Marfa are going with one of Aqua's guardians or so. . ." he said with a shrug as Spiky began purring and trying to rub himself against Sybil like a normal cat would, not aware than he may hurt her with his spikes.

rimedragona
"Ooh, I see." Sybil said, and laughed as Spiky came close and rubbed against her. His thorns didn't hurt her, as he was going with the direction they lay. She ran a gentle finger down one of the lines in between thorns.

"How long are they gonna be gone?" she asked, referring to Marfa and Aqua. She was also aware of a rumbling in her tummy, and she still hadn't called Rime to let her know where she was.

were girl
Lester lay on his back on the bed againa nd sighed, "I don't know. . . they have until the end of the year I think. . . Its something to do with holy water and thats why they're going to vatican. . ." he answered, petting Spiky on the back too before looking out of the windo to see the sun setting, "maybe you should phone your mum. . . she must be worrying" he said, imagining her mum, (even if he didn't know how she looked) running around and looking for her.

rimedragona
Sybil wasn't sure where the Vatican was, but not wanting to appear stupid, she kept that to herself.

"I bet Momma is really worried! She was s'posed to pick me up from school... but it's way past the end of school...." Sybil was just realizing how much trouble she'd probably caused, and she opened her eyes wide, getting worried now.

were girl
"Lets ask mum to phone her. .. " said Lester, siting up again and asking, "shall you speak on the phone or my mum? Does your brother know that you left to tell your mum that?" he asked, hearing Italian swear words coming out of the kitchen and the sounds of a fire extinguisher, "my mum doesn't sound to busy. . ." he said, sarcastically.

rimedragona
"Uhm... maybe your mom could talk? Momma's gonna be a little upset... and Avery saw us leave, right? But we didn't tell him where we went. He probably forgot, anyway." Sybil answered all of Lester's questions in order, and stood up from where she had sat on the floor, with a final pat for Spiky.

were girl
"Okey" said Lester with a nod and jumped off his bed, landing on his hoofs, "Do you know your mum's phone number?" he asked, "Because I don't think my mum knows it" he added and scratched Spiky behind the ear, "your brother is very fogetful, right?" he suddenly asked, running out of quetsions to ask Sybil.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded. Rime had made all of them memorize the phone number, so that they could call home if they needed to.

"Yup, I know my number. And Avery's not really forgetful... he just doesn't pay attention to things for very long... He's a total spaz!" Sybil exlaimed.

She waited for Lester to lead the way, not wanting to take charge in someone else's house. She did wonder if it would be alright to take spiky downstairs, though. "Can Spikey come, or does he have to stay up here?" she asked.

were girl
"Spikey can come, but he has to stay out of the way, since Marfa usually runs like mad around and trips over him all the time he comes out of my room" he said and walked out of the room, making a few clicking noises with his tounge which made Spikey jump off the bed and get ready to follow them.

rimedragona
"I can carry him! ...If that's alright..." she finished quietly after her exclamation. She figured she'd probably need gloves again, but it would keep him out from underfoot.

were girl
Lester stopped walking and took out a pair of emergancy gloves and handed them to Sybil before resuming the walk down the corridor and beagn walking down the steps, "be careful with him, it might take you a while to wash off his spikes off your clothes. . ." he said at the top of the stairs.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded, and put on the gloves before coaxing Spiky up into her arms, which wasn't a difficult task. She wasn't worried about spikes in her clothes, but she would have to remember to tell someone before they went in the wash...

They made it down the stairs uneventfully, and she looked around for the Wolf-lady that she had seen earlier.

were girl
Lester walked down the stairs and down the short corridor approaching the kitchen when suddenly there was a loud 'boom' and the house shook like an earthquake, making Lester fall on the ground, his hands over his head as a large cloud of smoke began floating out of the kitchen and there was a large amount of barking as Lester's mother ran our of the kitchen in her wolf form.

rimedragona
Sybil fell over, too, then crawled behind a nearby chair as smoke drifted her way.

"Lester, what happened?" she asked, eyes wide.

Then she recognized the wolf from earlier. That was Lester's mom!

were girl
Lester's mum gave one final bark and ran back into the smoke and there were sounds of a fire extonguisher as Lester managed to stand up. "Don't worry, its not that rare here, she ought to take cooking lesson's, not to learn from some stupid book or by herself. . ." he muttered, as the smoke began to fade away.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded, definitely agreeing, and wondered if it wouldn't be safer to go back home and eat... but she had said she'd stay for dinner, and it would be rude to back out now. And either way, she still had to call her mom.

"Lester? Can I call Momma now?" she asked, and gave one last look towards the smoky kitchen.

were girl
"Sure!" said Lester and passed the smoking kitchen from which screams erupted, and down the small corridor, at the right of which a small table with a telephone on it stood. "Here!" he said, pointing at the only house phone in the house, "mum's busy now so I think you should phone yourself. . ." he said with a shrugg.

rimedragona
Sybil bit her lip as they passed the kitchen, peering doubtfully into its depths, then she made her way to the phone. She thought for a second, reciting her phone number in her head, and then picked up the reciever to dial.

A ring sounded, then another, and there sounded like there was a struggle on the other end before Hanrae's voice came over the phone, Aefeln's in the background. "Hello? This is the Dragona house... Aefeln you don't have hands, go away!" You don't either, Hanrae. Is it Sybil?"

Sybil smiled a little bit, her house was pretty chaotic, too. "Hello, Hanrae... uhm, I'm at Lester's house..."

"Sybil! Rime is worried about you! She's not here, she's at the hospital with Avery, but she has Alida and the Meos out looking for you, and we were left here by the phone. Where are you?"

From the background, Aefeln complained, I can't hear, Hanrae, where is she, is she okay? I can go find Rime..

Sybil was sorry and embarassed at all the worry she had caused, but also secretly a little pleased at the fuss. "I'm okay. I'm at Lester's, we went to the park today, and then we came back here, and can I eat supper here?"

Another scuffle had ensued, and it was Aefeln's voice that came through stronger before Hanrae broke back in. "I think you should come straight home, missy--" "Sure, stay there and have a good time, hon, we'll tell Rime, and get everyone back in. As long as you're oka--" "Are you nuts? She should come back--" and then the phone hung up; apparently Hanrae had stepped on the receiver.

Sybil blinked, then turned and smiled at Lester. "I can stay here for supper, Lester!" she said, leaving out the fight and the worry. She did wonder why Avery was at the hospital... then she remembered his acrobatics on the swingset and it all made sense.

were girl
Lester nodded and stood back up from him leaning behind Sybil, listening to her conversation, "um. . . thats great!" he said, acting as if he hadn't heard the phone talk, "I guess mum is having supper ready!" he said, since the Italian swearing and barking was gone from the kitchen and was replaced by sounds of banging of cups and other kitchen thing's. "Do you want to eat now or later?" he asked, swaying back and forth with his hands in his pockets, impatiantly.

rimedragona
Sybil had noticed Lester suddenly move back, but didn't really think too much of it. She thought for only a moment before answering, "Now, please? I'm really hungry! And I'm sure it will be yummy." Sybil nodded solemnly, as if she were handing out a prophecy of dire import.

were girl
Lester nodded, "okey!" he quickly said And headed back towards the kitchen door, peeking in to see his mother, in her human form now, putting down two plates on the table followed by knives and forks and then walked back up to Sybil, "Only a few seconds now, my mum has to call us to eat" but befoe he had completly finished the sentace his mother yelled from the kitchen 'Lester! time to eat! bring your friend with you!' and with a nod Lester began walking towards the kitchen again, motioning Sybil to follow.

rimedragona
Sybil was a bit mystified at the little ceremony of waiting to be called, but she followed along with it willingly. At her house, dinner was more of a buffet style affair, where you took what you wanted from what had been set out. There were too many beings in the house to fit around one table comfortably.

She followed Lester into the kitchen, and smiled a small smile at his mother, not sure what to do. Which setting was hers? She tried to look for clues.

were girl
Lester walked over at sat at a radom chair, thanking his mother as she put salad and other foods on his plate, motioning Sybil to the other chair, "Would you like some salad? Or Rice?" she asked, smiling and then said to Lester, why there were only two plates at the table, "Marfa went off with Sarah early in search for Science labs to crash, they will have their dinner when they come back" she said, as if his sister's usually did such things as crashing science labs and he just nodded, knowingly.

rimedragona
Sybil slid into the chair, and gripped the seat on either side of her, leaning forward. "could I have a little of both? Please?" Sybil asked, since she liked both things.

At the mention of crashing science labs, she asked, "Why does she crash science labs? Is it like you and your plants, Lester?" She was thinking that they were doing something like Lester was with saving his plants.

were girl
With a nod Lesters mother put the rice and the salad on Sybil's plate and with a smile moved away as Lester nodded, "yes, sort of, Sarah loves animals and somtimes crashes science labs to free them, they then either run away, or go to my mums pet shop, or she just keeps them, she has over 2 pets already. And Marfa was caught by scientists in a science lab when she was a pup, now she strongly hates them and helps Sarah" with a nod he started to eat.

rimedragona
Sybil said thank you to Lester's mom, and then mulled over what Lester said while she tried it. It was pretty good.

She thought that that was a good reason for Marfa to go along, and Sarah sounded nice. She thought she might like to meet them. She didn't recall having done so before.

"That sounds like something fair. Animals shouldn't be locked up, and why would they lock up your sister?" she asked after eating a good portion of the food quietly.

were girl
Lester ate and quickly chewed his food, swallowing before he answered, since it was polite, "Marfa is a werewolf, I guess the people who caught her don't like werewolves, she hates talking about it though. . ." he said and took another mouth full, complementing his mum, "its delicious mum! you should do this again!" and his mother smiled, pleased with herself, after 4 attempts to make a simple dinner she had succeeded.

rimedragona
Sybil frowned. "That's mean! My mom's a dragon sometimes, and she's still my mom! Why would people not like someone 'cause they turn into something else?"

She nodded agreement with Lester's declaration about the food though, and scooped the last bit of her rice onto her spoon and ate it, chewing thoughtfully.

were girl
Lester shrugged and said saddly, "I don't know, some people are just mean, I didn't like Marfa when I first met her, she looked vicious but now I know her and she's a very nice werewolf" he said and took another mouth-ful of rice followed by a mouth-ful of salad as his mother put him some more on his plate.

rimedragona
Sybil started in on her salad, which she had previously ignored for the rice, and hunted through the lettuce for the bits of carrots first. She didn't mind lettuce, but she preferred carrots. Just not cooked.

"Momma has a friend who's a... uhm, I don't know if she's a werewolf, but she has a wolf tail, and she can talk with them." Sybil announced, and nodded. "She's nice, too. You're Momma's nice, too. Are all wolves nice?" she asked.

were girl
Lester quickly chewed, as if not waiting to answer and then swallowed, answering almost instantly without even a gasp for air, "I don't know" he said and quickly took a breath of air before talking again, "but mum and my sister are nice, in the mythology and legends people turn every inhuman creature evil, turning everyone against them. .. " said Lester saddly and took another mouth-ful, chewing slowly and thoughtfully.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded, but then tilted her head and said, "But what about dryads? They aren't human, and they aren't evil. They look like trees. At least the picture in my book looks likes a tree lady person." Sybil looked at Lester intently.

"I don't know, I thought ladies were called 'nymths' and and don't know if there are boy ones. . ." said Lester, "I guess all plant looking creatures are good and have something to do with mother earth" he said as he swallowed again, picking up crumbs from his plate with a piece of bread.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded, satisfied. Lester had an answer for all her questions. "You're smart, Lester!" she said, and smiled. She drug the last of the lettuce around in the dressing still on the plate and ate it. It looked like everyone was finishing up.

were girl
Lester shrugged, "depends on what you know" he said and after streaching a littlw after the tasty meal jumped off his chair and picked up his plate, and carried it to the sink, he was usually lazy to do so but when guests arrived he wanted to show himself in full manners and smartness too.

rimedragona
Taking her cue, Sybil slid down from her chair, then reached to pick up her place setting. She followed Lester over to the sink, and stretched to place the dishes into the sink. She smiled over at the satyr, wondering what would happen now. It was getting towards evening, and Aefeln had sounded really worried...

But she didn't want to leave before they had finished for the day. And she wanted to play with Spikey again.

were girl
"Sooooooooo. . ." started Lester, thinking for a quick moment, "what do you want to do now? Our house is never has much interesting in it. . ." he said, looking around the kitchen for something else to take to the sink, to show himself in the full shine of manners, which he never usually had and his mother usually cleaned up everything after them.

rimedragona
"Uhm... do you have any games? I left my Tarot at home today... but I'm still learning anyway..." Sybil was being rather impressed by how Lester was helping. Ritsu helped, but he was almost more like a sister anyway... and Avery tried, but he usually just got the dishes in the vicinity of the sink before forgetting about them.

Sybil rocked herself from her heels to the balls of her feet, looking around the kitchen as she did so. She hadn't really examined it before, she was too busy being hungry.

were girl
The kitchen was like any other kitchen, it had a white fridge in the corner and two sinks, both were for dishes, just incase one wasn't enough. There were also a lot of cupboards and shelves, and they all had weird signs on them, like 'frogs legs' or 'bats eyes', Lester mum had put them just for fun, and to keep the children out. Lester looked around, thinking, "I don't know. . . I sometimes play checkers. . . with my plants, but they're not that good at checkers. . . although, neither am I. . ." she said.

rimedragona
Sybil stared at some of the signs, trying to puzzle them out, but as she was still learning to read, she only got a couple of the most simple before Lester answered her question.

She liked checkers, but she didn't get to play it very much.

"You have funny stuff in your cupboards, Lester," she said with a nod, and then continued, "and I like checkers! Did you want to play that? Can your plants play?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.

were girl
"Some plants can play" he said, only two or three of his plants were smart enough to play checkers, and even like that, they weren't that good at it. Lester sat back down on his chair, pretending to be tired from all the work he had just done just then, "you can pick a game, your the guest in the house and guests need to be entertained to their liking" he said, quoating his older Sister, Marfa.

Sybil thought a moment. "I like Checkers. Mostly at my house we play Chess... which I can't play, but Aefeln gets all sulky if the game isn't Chess, and then he won't stop complaining."

She paused, then asked, "Can you show me which plants play checkers? I bet Aefeln never played anything against a plant before!" she giggled, covering her mouth.

were girl
"Sure!" said Lester and jumped of his chair and trotted out of the kitchen, beckoning Sybil to follow him and then trotted quickly up the stairs and too his room, were he jumped on his bed and waited for Sybil, hoping that he didn't do it all to fast and that she knew were his room was, since there were about 6 doors on the 2nd floor.

rimedragona
Sybil followed, and found his room easily enough, getting there just after him.

"You run fast, Lester!" she exclaimed, and took a deep breath to catch her breath.

were girl
"I'm half goat!" answered Lester proudly, putting his hands on his waist and smiling in this proud manner. Then he got out of his proud state and pointed with one finger to a beautiful purple, spiked flower with long leaves and said, "she plays the best chess and checkers!" he said, proudly but not as proudly as before though.

rimedragona
Sybil 'oooh'ed appreciatively, and wondered how one greets a flower. Especially as she didn't know if this was one of the flowers that had been whispering about her earlier. Should she go up and shake a leaf? Would that hurt the plant?

"Hello, miss flower. Uhm... how are you?" she said, a bit lamely, not even sure where to focus her eyes. She settled for looking at the flower part, as that was where the head would be on a person.

were girl
The plant just waved is leaves around, as if whating something and Lester said after a moment, "its a writing flower, instead of speaking, she writes, but she understands everything thats told to her" he said and took his pencil case from his desk, unzipped it and took out a pencil, then reached out a took a paper from the other end of the table and hannded them to the flower, as it began to scribble three words 'fine, thanks, bored'.

rimedragona
Sybil bounced a little, excitedly, and said, "That's like my sister, Alida! She writes everything down, or uses her fingers to make words."

"If you're bored, miss flower, would you like to play a game with Lester and me? We'll need a game that can have three people..." she frowned as she thought of games.

"Uhm... Scrabble? Since you can write? Or maybe Sorry... What do you think, Lester?" she asked.

were girl
The flower wrote a single 'yes' but Lester looked down at his hoofed feet and then said, "I don't know how to play this game" he was a bit embarassed that a flower knew how to play this game and he didn't and he began hoofing the floor with his hoof, hopping Sybil would teach him how to play it.

rimedragona
"Oh... Uhm, I mostly know how to play Scrabble, and there's going to be a rule sheet, right? Hm, and I don't know how to spell that well, but I guess that'll just make it tougher! But, we need the board. Do you have this game, Lester? I know we do at my house, because Alida likes it." Sybil rambled on, trying to cover for Lester's embarrassment.

She hadn't been able to get a read on people's feelings lately like she'd used to, unless they were strong feelings. She used to be able to tell what someone was feeling before they even got close to her, and even sometimes guess things they were keeping secret. She wondered why that was changing, but didn't let it bother her very much.

were girl
Lester listen to Sybil's ramblings and then shook his head, "I don't have a scamble board but they sell them at that little shop down the street" he said, he had been to that shop to buy himself and his plants checkers and noticed a scamble board out of the corner of his eye last time he was there, "If your allowed to go there we can get one, they're quite cheep" he said, and his silent plant nodded.

rimedragona
Sybil had never been to this shop, but she didn't see any reason why they couldn't go.

The little girl nodded and smiled. "Okay, then let's go! But we should tell your Mom, right?" Sybil asked.

were girl
"I always go to that shop" said Lester, "mum wouldn't mind!" and taking Sybils hand he walked out of the room as the silent plant waved to them and down the corridor to the stairs, quickly looking in his pocket and counting the pocket money he had, he always kept his money with him.

rimedragona
"Okay, then!" Sybil said, and cheerfully let herself be led downstairs, waving goodbye to the plant, since it seemed polite to do so.

"What time is it, Lester? I looks awfully dark out..." Sybil said as they neared the door. She wasn't very good with things like time, yet.

were girl
Lester shrugged, he never wore a watch and it was too dark to see the time on the sun clock they had in their garden, "It doesn't seem to be that late anyway, it gets dark early" he said and ran down the stairs, still holding Sybils hand, after he made sure he had enough money for a game.

rimedragona
Reassured by Lester's confidence, Sybil ran down the stairs after him, trying to keep up with the faster goat boy, her tail out behind her for balance.

Then they were out the door, and going down the walk towards the street. Sybil was having a little trouble keeping up with Lester, and so she said, "Lester, slow down, I'm littler than you!" in a sulky tone.

were girl
Lester heard Sybil and slowed down into a walk, "Sorry!" he said, being half goat he always liked running and jumping, sometimes even climbing rocks. As they walked down the street Lester started counting all the street lights that were on their street, and all the cars which drove past and then added them together to add 35, suddenly he pointed at a small shop at the end on the street.

rimedragona
Unaware of Lester's mental math, and instead concentrating on not stepping on any sidewalk cracks, bugs, or weeds, Sybil was surprised by Lester's arm suddenly shooting in front of her and pointing. She took a step back in alarm, and then giggled when she realized he was just pointing at at a store, probably the one they were going to.

"Is this the store?" she asked, and looked through the window on the store front.

were girl
Lester nodded, "Yes it is!" and whispered to himself to remember the number he counted, to write it down in his diary later, "thirty-five. . ." he whispered under his breath and started a trot towards the shop, "Last one there is a rotten egg!" he called, giggling, his sister usually did such races, it was the first time he ever did one with someone else.

rimedragona
Startled, Sybil broke into a run, but it was clear from the start that Lester would get there first. She reached the door with a frown on her face. "Not fair! You started first! And you're faster!" Sybil complained, and scowled mightily, shaking a finger. Luckily, she wasn't that imposing, and looked more cute than fearsome.

were girl
Lester grinned proudly, patting a bit, "No one can beat a satir when it comes to races!" he said, he had made this sentance up from the top of his head but instantly forgot it as he glanced at the shops clock through the glass door, "We have around 10 minutes before it closes!" and opened the door, stepping in, since it was nearly 8pm now.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded, accepting Lester's statement, but was distracted by the announcement of the time.

"Where do they keep the Scrabble games?" Sybil wondered, and looked around, looking for the familiar box cover, with the wooden tiles all over it. She frowned, and then saw it on a shelf several feet away.

"There, Lester!" she said happily, and pointed at the box.

were girl
"Okey!" said Lester happily, looking at were Sybil was pointing and was that weird box with tiles all over it and then taking out his wallet and looked up again, and since Sybil was the closest to the box he asked her, "can you see how much it costs? Get the cheapest one. . ." he said, since he was saving his pocket money for a rare African Cactus and didn't want to spend much of it until he reached his goal.

rimedragona
Sybil pulled down the box, tipping it this way and that to look for the price. A salesperson saw her troubles, and came over, smiling nicely. She seemed to ignore the oddities of the two children.

"Can I help you?"

Sybil looked up at the woman, then back down at the game. "I'm looking for how much it is... but I can do it myself!" she exclaimed as the woman reached for the box, holding it to one side protectively.

Taken aback at first, the woman then chuckled, and stood back. "Okay, okay. I think if you looked on the bottom, though..."

Sybil frowned, but obediently turned the box over. There was a tag, and she sighed, before reading the numbers to Lester.

"Eight... nine... six. Lester, do you have enough?" she asked, looking over at the goat boy.

were girl
Lester was looking at the seed section so he wasn't paying full attention to Sybil and didn't look up when she asked him, he just nodded and called out, "yes. . I do have nine pounds" he said, nodding slightly again as he picked up a packet of seeds from the shelf and started walking over to Sybil, since he had 12 pounds, which was enough for both the seeds and the game.

rimedragona
"Okay!" she said happily, and was about to run off towards him, but suddenly stopped and looked back at the salesperson.

"Uhm, thank you, lady! I could have found it myself, though," she added, almost a bit grumpily. Then she turned and jogged towards Lester, holding the box with both arms wrapped around it so it wouldn't be dropped.

The woman followed, and when she was close again, she asked, "Are you ready to check out? I'll be over at the counter when you are." Then she walked over to wait near the checkout, but since it was a slow day, she didn't look like she was in any hurry.

were girl
Lester nodded and walked over to Sybil, holding the seed packet in his hands and he decided not to take the scarmble box from her tied hands, since she looked as if she loved the box more than anything and was hugging it. "Lets go and check it out then!" he said and started walking towards the counter, by Sybil's side.

rimedragona
Sybil walked cheerfully next to him, and when the got to the counter, she reached up high to slide the box onto the counter, which she could almost see over, but not quite. Her snakey tail was wagging, rather dog-like for such a reptilian appendage.

"Are you all set?" the salesperson asked as she stepped up to the register and reached for the box.

were girl
Lester nodded and counted the price again in his head before digging his hand into his pocket and brining out a bunch of pound notes, quickly counting the right sum he reached out with his hand to the sales woman, his hoof's clip-clapping on the floor impatiently as he couldn't wait to go home and play the game.

rimedragona
Once the transaction was complete, Sybil reached up to grab the box, smiling brightly at the salesperson. "Thank you!" she said, and then slid the box off the counter and down into her arms again.

"Enjoy yourselves! Come back again!" the woman said, waving good bye as they left.

"C'mon Lester, let's go!" Sybil said, bouncing a little as they walked to the door.

were girl
"Bye!" said Lester politely to the lady as he picked up his packet of seeds of the counter and followed Sybil back into the street. It was already dark as they walked out of the show but Lester was used to the dark and wasn't scared, although he hoped Sybil wasn't afraid of the dark or that no one would try and rob them on the way home, it happened to his sister Marfa once, luckly the robbers got away unharmed from her.

rimedragona
Sybil was a little nervous of the dark, but nothing that walking a little closer to Lester wouldn't take care of.

"How long do you think I can stay, Lester? My mom will want me to come home before too late..." she sighed.

were girl
Lester shrugged, "I don't know, maybe she'll call my mum when she wants you back home?" he said, and quickened his step a little, since the quicker you walk, the quicker you will get home, but he hoped he wasn't going too fast for Sybil.

rimedragona
"Maybe we'll finish playing before she calls!" Sybil said, and had to almost jog to keep up, but she was doing fine.

were girl
Lester nodded and spoke, "The quicker we get home the faster we can start the game and the mopre time we'll have!" as his hoof's clip-clopped down the sidewalk, his house coming into view, a few more seconds of running and they would be home.

rimedragona
Sybil kept hard on Lester's heels, but she was beginning to be a little out of breath. Thank goodness the house was coming into view!

Then they were at the door and going inside, and she took a few deep breaths to slow her heart. "Are we playing in your room?" she asked, thinking that if the plant wanted to play, they'd better.

were girl
Lester nodded, he was patting and out of breath from the run, so he leaned on the wall of the room and after catching his breath walked over na dlcosed the door after them and then turned to Sybil, "Yes, lets go and play in my room" and started walking towards the stairs, since Sybil had the game in her hands.

rimedragona
Sybil followed, and when they got to his room, she held the game up proudly, showing it to all the plants, but the one plant in particular.

"We got the game! Now all we have to do is set it up, and we can play!" she said happily.

were girl
Lester nodded and gazed up at the box Sybil held, as all the plants made gasping nosies, some even made clapping noises, to show their amazement. The plants never came out of his room so it was rare that they saw anything, so even the game that Sybil held amazed them. "I still don't really know how to play it..." Lester said, as most of the gasping and clapping noises of the plants died away.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded. "It's okay! It's not hard! Well... it depends on how well you can spell, too..." she hedged, then sat down to peel the plastic off. She opened the box to reveal the contents, and pulled out the board to explain it to Lester and the plants.

"See? There's this board, and all these little tiles. The first person puts down a word on that star there, and then the next person makes a word that uses a letter in that first word. It keeps going like that. Some letters are more points, and some of the little squares are more points." she said, and pointed to a triple word score space.

"Momma said it's like a crossword puzzle, only you make up the words instead of figuring them out!" she exclaimed with a smile.

were girl
Both, the plants and Lester were nodding silently as Sybil explained, thinking of her as someone who knew a lot. When Sybil stopped talking Lester gave one final nod and then said, "Okey then! and how many people/plants can play?" he asked, and there was a whispering noise fro the plants, deciding which of them would have a go and play.

rimedragona
Sybil looked down at the box. She wasn't sure, but she thought four could. "I think four? That's how many little shelves there are," she said. "Who's going to play?" she asked, as she flipped over all the tiles so the letters couldn't be seen.

were girl
Angry whispering was heard between the plants, it seemed they couldn't decided which of them would play, and if they weren't chained to their pots there would be one great fight over the honour of who would be the remaining two players. Lester couldn't stand the angry whispering of his plants, so he turned to Sybil, "Well. . . it seems you will have too choose the remaining two players"

rimedragona
"Well... shouldn't the Flower be one of them? We offered earlier, after all. And uhm... Lester, help me spin around so I get dizzy, and I'll choose like that. Okay?" she asked, though it seemed she'd already made up her mind about being spun.

She covered her eyes with her hand, so she couldn't see, and slowly spun, trusting Lester to keep her from crashing into anything. She picked up speed, until she started to stumble about from being dizzy, and then she abruptly stopped with her hand held out, before falling over, giggling. "Ooohhhgg... Who'd I get, Lester?" she asked, feeling like the room was still spinning crazily.

were girl
Lester quickly nodded and started spinning Sybil, taking great care not to make her trip over anything on the ground or for her to crash into anything. As she started stumbling Sybil stopped and pointed at one of Lesters newest bred plants, one of those which didn't even have a name yet. The plant was small and looked like a over-turned flower, a small princess, and the red petals looked like a dress and the top part like a head, with two twigs sticking out, like too arms. The flower seemed to be a bit shy to join the game but slowly moved towards Sybil and Lester.

rimedragona
Sybil took a momet to recover, her arms and legs splayed out on the floor, but when she didn't feel dizzy anymore, she looked over at the one she'd picked. "Oh, how cute! She looks like a princess. Okay... we got four players, and now we see who goes first!"

Sybil picked a single letter at random, and turned it over. It was a "H," which wasn't bad, but wasn't great, either. She looked at the other three. "Now you all choose one. Who ever gets closest to "A" goes first." She waited for all of them to pick their letters.

"Then, we put these letters back, mix them up again, and then choose... I think it's seven letters. And we put them on our little shelves." she explained, and pointed at the wooden rack in front of her.

were girl
Everyone nodded at the same time, eyes on Sybil and listening to every word she said, like she was a goddess or something holy.
Lester got the closest to A, to be exact, he had gotten the letter A itself, which ment he was starting first. And after the others had chosen their new seven letters and when they were all staring at him and waiting, he asked Sybil, just to be sure, "so, I do a word, any word I like?" he asked.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded earnestly. She didn't seem to realize the reverence she was being watched with. "Any word you can make with your letters, but it has to start on the star there," she said, pointing to the middle of the board.

were girl
Lester nodded and started a new word in the middle of the board, laying out the word 'right' and looking up at Sybil for her turn. As all the rest of the plants did.

rimedragona
Sybil looked at the word, then down at her letters, and furrowed her brow in thought. After a moment, she brightened. She had a word she knew how to spell! And it was more than three letters! This was an occasion.

She proudly put down the word "late", playing off of the "t" in Lester's word.

"Okay! That means it's your turn!" she said, and pointed at the flower who was next.

were girl
The flowered princess nodded and looked at her letters and quickly made the word 'sleep' through the L of Sybils word and then glanced at the silent flower, which was looking at his letters intently, and thinking of a word, and then laid out the word 'idea' through one of 'sleep's E's.

***

rimedragona
The game had taken awhile, while the children figured out words to put, but now it was down to the last round of the game. There were no more letters to pull from the box, and Sybil was biting her tongue with impatience. Who would win?

"C'mon, Lester, it's your turn! Can you make anything?" she asked, wiggling a little. This had been fun!

were girl
Lester stared at the board, thinking what word he had to put in, it looked as if he was lost in thought, and then, after a minute of imovable thinking he took a few of his letters and made the word 'hetro', which was the only word that came into his mind, it came from the back of his memory, from some book he had once read, and glanced up at Sybil, indicating that it was her turn.

rimedragona
Sybil nodded, and bit her tongue as she looked over her letters. She started shuffling them around, not finding any words and getting a little upset. Then, by chance, she shifted them into a configuration she recognized. It was a word she always saw carved into the top of her little wooden chest that held the silk wrapped deck of cards inside.

She was very happy about this, and proudly layed them out attached to the 'T' in hetro, but realized that she wouldn't need the 'T' she had to do this. So she laid out her four letters, and said, "Tarot!" with a tone of excitement.

were girl
The first plant looked intently at the board at then at its letters, and then just spelled out 'tar' on one of the tarots t's, and silently glanced at the little princess flower, who quickly looked at her letters, grabbed a handful of them, the ones she needed, and ran up to the board, since she was a lot smaller than the other players, and layed out he letters, spelling 'apple', on the a.

Lester glanced at his letters and then at Sybils word, and almost instantly got an idea of a word, since it one of his sister Marfa's favorite foods. Picking up his letters, Lester laid out a word attached to 'tarots' 'r', it was if fact a word he found quite beautiful, although what it ment he didn't exactly fancy. 'Ramen'.

rimedragona
Sybil looked around the board at the rest. "Any other words you guys can make?" she asked, hoping no one could. She had no letters she could make a word from... but if she could find a free A, she could lay down the T. she knew that would make the word at. That would leave her with a G and a P, and she knew those weren't worth much, so they wouldn't take away from her score that much.

were girl
Lester glanced at his letters, he only had 'n' and 'd' left, he wonered what he could do with those letters, and then reasiled he could do the word 'and', so he glanced at Sybil, I think I can do one word. The plants themselves ha donly one or too letters left too, but saddly, they shook their small heads, indicating that they couldn't make any words.

rimedragona
Sybil waited until he laid down his word, then set out her 'T' making the word 'at', and also set out her 'P', making the word 'up' this left her with one letter, 'G', worth one point, which would be taken away from her score.

"Okay! Who has letters left? You add up the numbers on the letters you have left, and you take that away from the points you got my making words," she explained, and looked to Lester to do the math.

were girl
Lester looked at his letters and counted swiftly in his head and then looked up, "That means I have nine points" and then glanced at the other plant, who had also done its math and indicated with its leaves that it also had nine points. Sadly, the little princess did not know how to count, and glanced around at the others, asking for help.

rimedragona
Sybil looked at the scorecard, and then looked at the princess' letters. She had two left, worth one point each, and her starting score had been fourteen, due to all those 'P's.' "Uhm... fourteen minus two... uhm... Lester? What's fourteen minus two?" She could add very simple things, but subtraction was beyond her yet.

For herself, she looked at the scorecard, and then said, "My score is fifteen minus one. That's..." she thought for another moment, counting in her head. "Fourteen!" she said, and nodded. She'd just remembered the number before fifteen.

"That means you won, Lester!" she said. She was fine with not winning. She never won, but she liked putting out the tiles. And she'd learn more words, and someday she'd make a word so big it would let her win.

were girl
"It will be twelve" said Lester, after two seconds though, he still wasn't very skilled at subtraction, unlike addition, which he could solve in mili-seconds. Lester smiled as Sybil proclaimed that he won, he liked winning, but didn't mind loosing either, The princess glanced at her tiles with her small green head and then at Lesters, before starting to do a little spinning dance around Lester, which made hi smile a little more.

rimedragona
Sybil smiled as she watched the princess dance; she was very pretty with her petals twirling out like that. Then, she surprised herself with a huge yawn. She suddenly realized she was rather sleepy, and that it had been getting dark when they started the game.

"I had a lot of fun!" she said, and stifled another yawn.

were girl
As Sybil yawned Lester remembered something and glanced at his right hand, were his watch rested, and blinked in surprise, "wow... Its already late...". The princess stopped from her dance abruptly at this, and jumped on his lap, to see the time on his watch better.

rimedragona
Sybil pouted at this, but she knew she couldn't stay. "I guess it's time to go home..." she said, and looked a little disappointed. She wondered how she was going to get there, though.

"Uhm... How will I get back? Will you or your mom walk with me?" she asked. She didn't want to admit it, but she was a little scared of the dark, especially when it was outside at night.

Receiving Finnius!

5.13.06

Deer Mr. Diery,

Gess what? Yu wont beleeve what happend today! I got a pet! Ri helped me pick him out. He is a beta, and his name is F-I-N-N-I-U-S! Ali helped me name him that. I call him Finny. He is not very big, but he is not a baby.

Finny is prity blue, and he gets red on his fins. His fins are long and I like them lots. He duzn't like other fish.

I have him in a bowl in my room. The bowl is on my dresser, and it has a little lamp above it, and a little plant in it, and green and blue rocks on the bottom. I feed him once a day, just a pinch of food. Momma sais I have to clean his tank once a week, because there is no filter in a bowl.

He likes it on my dresser, because he swims around all the time going gulp gulp gulp. I think that means he likes it anyway. Maybe he can see all of my room from there.

Avery is a little jealous, because he doesn't have a fish, so maybe he will get one soon. Maybe I will have a dream about it tonight. If I have a dream about something, it usually comes true. I don't know why. Momma says it is my gift, but I don't get it. Avery and Ali and Ri don't have dreams that come true.

Oh, well. It is time to go eat now, so I will do that. I hope Finny isn't lonely when I go. I fed him at lunch, so he can't have dinner, too. I wonder if he gets hungry. He doesn't look hungry.

Uh-oh. Momma is calling. Bye bye, Mr. Diery!

Sybil closed the book cover and put it in its place. She pulled the covers back carefully to hide it, and waved to the fish in the bowl. Then she ran out the door so she could go eat dinner.

RP Found here: Bowling Alley I

rimedragona
Ritsu walked into the bowling alley, Avery and Sybil in tow. Alida had been working on a paper for school, and absolutely refused to let anyone come into the room with her. Which left a stir crazy Avery and a crabby Sybil to muck about in the living room. Which eventually drove Rime nuts as well.

So she dealt with it by comandeering Ritsu, giving him some money, and telling him to take them to the bowling alley to work off some steam.

So now they were here, and Ritsu gulped a bit nervously. What now?

Avery seemed to know. He dashed up to the counter, trying to look big and important by asking, "Three people for a lane. Uh, please!"

The woman behind the counter looked at him with a tolerant smile, and when Ritsu approached with the money, she exchanged it for a lane assignment, and then asked them for their shoe sizes.

That all taken care of, they changed into their shoes, retrieved the correct ball weights, and found their lane.

Sybil was not pleased with the shoes. "They smell funny, and they look ugly. Ri, do I hafta wear them?"

"I'm sorry, Sybil-san, but you do. If you don't wear them, you'll ruin the floor, and how could I ever explain that to the woman at the counter?" Simply imagining the scene was making Ritsu break into a cold sweat.

Not wanting her 'older brother' to be worried, Sybil sighed, and conceeded.

"Okay! Enough chit chat, let's get this party started! C'mon, Ri, start the screen up!" Avery was dancing about near the ball return, where they had laid the balls before they started.

ShoeBandit
"Oh yes! He's perfectly sweet and completely capable of taking care of himself!" she said, quite proud of the toy bear.

She turned her head as a group entered and smiled. "More people!" she chirped. Debating on going over and introducing herself or not.

rimedragona
Avery was convinced Ritsu was being this slow simply to make him antsy, which wasn't true at all, it was just that Avery had gotten to the lane first, while Sybil was still tying her shoes, refusing any and all help and suggestions. Ritsu couldn't very well leave the 5 year old all by herself, could he? So he waited.

So to pass the time, Avery peered about, watching the people bowling, trying to figure out what made the balls go either down the lane like they were supposed to, or into the gutter, which they weren't.

While he was looking, he noticed someone looking at him, and waved cheerfully, wondering who she was. Hiya! I'm Avery! What's your name?" he asked.

ShoeBandit
Sammy clutched her bear to her chest tighter, before smiling brightly and waving. "I'm Samantha Bandit! But just call me Sammy!" she replied. "Pleased to meet you!"

rimedragona
"Hi, Sammy! Are you bowling, too? What lane are you in? Sweet, that's a pirate bear! Does he have a name?" Avery let off his usual barrage of questions, being unable to wait for one to be answered before the next came to his mind.

He decided that Ritsu and Sybil would be a while, and so he abandoned the lane to walk Sammy's way.

ShoeBandit
Glancing up at the screen she said, "I'm on lane 10 and I'm just taking a short break from bowling before I start another round. And, his name is the Dread Pirate Roberts! But his real name is Wesley, but don't tell anybody because he's in disguise until he can get home to his Princess Bride!"

She prattled off, obviously the girl loved Princess Bride a little much. "You like bowling too? I think it's lots of fun! My Mom likes it too. Though she has sensitive ears and doesn't like to bowl as long as I do. She usualy steps outside every once in a while for some quite. Wanna play a round with me?"

rimedragona
Avery listened intently. That sounded an awful lot like a movie he'd seen once, but he couldn't remember the name of it. And he was glad to find somene who seemed to talk as much as he did!

"Aw, I would, but I got my brother and sister here, too. Maybe you can join us? I bet Ri wouldn't mind!" he said, wondering if Sybil was done tying her shoes yet.

She was, and though the job was a bit sloppy, it would do. Ritsu heard his name and he looked over questioningly. "Avery-san? If you don't mind my asking... what wouldn't I mind?"

"Oh! Well, I just asked Sammy here if she wanted to join our game... I mean, only if she wants to, and if it's okay with you guys, though!" he grinned, hoping that everyone would agree. If not... he supposed he could leave Sybil and Ritsu by themselves, though he'd rather not.

ShoeBandit
"Sure! I was taking a break, but my break is over now! As long as they don't mind. You don't mind?" she replied, hugging her teddy tightly with one arm and waving at the people Avery was with.

rimedragona
Avery cheered. "Ri, Sammy is going to play with us, is that okay?" he asked, though he obviously expected a positive answer.

Ritsu wavered a moment, but what harm could it do? "Ah... if you want to, I don't mind, Sammy-san."

Avery grinned. "That's my brother Ritsu, and my sister Sybil. Ri's real shy, but Sybil ain't."

Sybil stuck out her tongue at Avery as she finally made her way down the steps, and Ritsu just ducked his head slightly, bangs hiding his face in a bit of embarrassment.

ShoeBandit
Sammy smiled in greeting, nodding her head slightly. "Pleased to meet you! And thank you for letting me join your game!"

She turned and set her bear on an open chair. Waiting patiently to add her name to the list of players.

rimedragona
Ritsu was in the process of typing in Sybil's name, and with the addition of Sammy, he nodded with a small smile at her as he added her name to the list.

Sybil was swinging her feet back and forth as she sat in her chair, staring at the shoes she had put on. They were still icky. But at least her's weren't that horrible yellow and red color, like Avery's. "Do you have a ball?" she abruptly asked the girl, having decided that Avery's were uglier, and so her's weren't so bad.

Avery got impatient, and reached past Ritsu to hit the button on the touch screen that started the game. At the end of the alley, the mechanism came down, leaving behind a nice triangle of pins.

"You're first, Ri! Go on! Get a strike!"

"Ah-- but, I..." Ritsu said ineffectually as he was shoved towards the ball rack. He picked up his ball and swallowed as he looked down the lane nervously. Then he paced forward, counting his steps quietly, and let the ball go on the forward swing of his arm.

It started out straight, but about halfway down it started to curve, and so he only got about half the pins on the right side.

"Yay for Ri! You got some!" Sybil cheered. She rarely got anything but gutter balls.

ShoeBandit
Sammy smiled as she quickly went back to her original lane to retrieve her neon purple ball. "Here's my ball!" she said as she placed it on the rack with the others.

Then she began to cheer as Ritsu knocked down roughly half the pins*

rimedragona
Ritsu ducked his head, embarrassed at the cheering. He'd not done too badly, but it wasn't really good enough to cheer about. He waited for his ball to return, then sent it down the lane again, only nicking a couple more. One other wobbled a bit, but didn't fall down.

He sat down, and carefully put in his score, then nodded at Avery.

"Yeah! My turn!" Avery cried, and picked up his ball, which was a gold swirly one borrowed from the lanes. He narrowed his eyes, looking very serious as he aimed, and then approached the lane.

The ball went flying down the lane, skidding halfway down it before it started to roll, he'd bowled it so hard. It took out four pins on the left, and he made a face.

"Oh, well, I'll try again! Come on, come on, come on..." he urged the ball return, doing a little dance of impatience.

When the ball came back, he sent it flying again, but he only got one of the pins as he sent it down in almost the exact same line as before.

"Aw, man! That sucks!"

"I'm going to tell Mom on you, Avery! You're not supposed to say that!" Sbyil stuck out her tongue as he scowled in her direction.

"I can say it if I wanna. There's nothing wrong with it."

Ritsu nodded at Sammy, saying, "I think it's your turn now, Sammy-san."

ShoeBandit
Watching the interaction, Sammy giggled slightly before smiling at Ristu. "Ok!" she chirped as she picked up her ball. She'd already been bowling for a couple of hours now, so her arm was loose and she had a fairly good idea as to what she was doing.

Stepping up to the lane, she took a deep breath before taking five steps forward. On the fourth step, she swung her arm back and sent the ball flying on her fifth. Slidding down the lane, it curved off to the right and took out five of the ten pins.

She waited patiently for her ball to return, dangling her fingers over the air vent absently. When her purple ball came back, she grabbed it and repeated what she had done earlier. Nearly tripping this time on the way, the ball ricoched into the gutter.

"Oops!" cried Sammy as she stepped away from the lane and took a seat. Scratching the back of her head and she laughed. "Messed up there!"

rimedragona
Avery shrugged. "Don't sweat it. There's lots of turns left! Okay, Syb! It's your turn, now!" He looked over at Sybil, who was at the ball return.

She picked out her ball, a black one with silver swirls, and carried it in both her arms almost to the edge of the lane. She knelt, and put it on the ground before giving it a good roll from between her knees.

It started out slow. Very slow. But as it made it's way down the lane, it gradually picked up speed. But it was also veering to the side. Just as it was about to get to the end of the lane, it tipped over the edge and into the gutter, the little half-breed looking dejected.

"It's okay, sis, you can try again. Here comes your ball!" Avery encouraged, and pointed at the ball return.

"Okay," Sybil agreed, and picked up the ball again. To the others, it looked like she was talking to it as she carried to the edge of the lane again.

This time it rolled straight and true, if still not very fast. It took out several pins in the middle, but didn't hit with enough force for them to knock the other pins down.

"That was very good, Sybil-san. You got five pins. Does that mean... it's my turn again?"

"You bet, Ri!" Avery said, barely waiting for his brother to leave the seat before he took it over again.

This time Ritsu took out three on one corner with the first ball, and all but one of the rest on his second ball. He looked a little bewieldered as to why he was doing so well when he came back.

Avery's turn went a little better this time, though the ball stuck to his fingers and dropped onto the lane with a loud crash. It made the lane manager glare at them, and Avery hunched his shoulders a little, though he stuck out his tongue when the man had turned his back. Avery ended up getting a gutter ball with that one, but the first one had gotten five of the pins.

"Okay, Sammy, your turn again! C'mon! No tripping this time," Avery teased.

Sybil just cheered, and then narrowed her eyes to watch intently. How were they doing that? She just couldn't figure it out... step, step, step, arm goes back, let go.... Well, she'd try that next time.

ShoeBandit
"It's slippery!" whinned Sammy in her own defence, though she new perfectly well it was her own fault. Grabbing her ball, she moved farther off to the side then the others were. She had an idea she wanted to play out.

Step, step, step, swing, and down the ball went. It hugged the edge briefly before straigtening itself out. Knocking down all but two pins. Leaving Sammy to have to try and pick up a seven/ten split.

"Oh boy," she breathed softly as she waited for her ball to return to her. Grabbing it, she hugged it to herself rather then place her finders in the holes. Studying the lane intently before reading herself to bowl. Finaly, mind made up, she moved to the center and sent the ball flying.

It arched hard left about half way down the lane before tacking ou the number ten pin. The pin shot across the lane and nicked the number seven. Seven wobbled, but didn't go down.

Smiling, Sammy skipped back to her seat.

rimedragona
That meant it was Sybil's turn now. The little girl had cheered when Sammy got almost all the pins, but now she wanted to try rolling the ball like everyone else was. She picked up her bowling ball, and fit her fingers into the holes carefully, ignoring Avery's interested look.

It was a little awkward, but she held it in front of her, then took the steps forward. Then she stopped. She'd forgotten to swing the ball back, she'd been so focused on her steps. And she was too far away anyway, she'd been too far back when she started.

She gave a little frustrated sigh, then crouched down and rolled the ball the same way she had before, only with a little more oomph this time. It rolled down the lane, striking the pins solidly and knocking down all but three.

I'll go closer, and swing the ball again, she thought.

She retreived her ball from the return, and got closer to the lane, then tried again. This time, her steps were closer to what they should be, and she'd swung her arm back, but she was pulled off balance by the weight, and she nearly fell backwards.

"It's okay, Syb, try again. Come back to where you were, and start again. You can do that, don't worry. Right, Ri, Sammy?" he asked, looking around at the other two. Ritsu nodded, and gently gestured for Sybil to go again.

ShoeBandit
Sammy nodded vigerously. "Yes! Try again! You could try what my Mommy taught me to do if you like?"

She smiled brightly and picked up her bear, using him as an aid (though it didn't really work in this situation.) "One, two, three, swing, and through!"

rimedragona
Sybil nodded, watching the bear closely, then readied her ball.

"You put your pointer and middle fingers here, and your thumb there, but don't put them in too far, just a little bit. Like that, yeah," Avery directed from a few feet away, smiling and nodding as Sybil adjusted her fingers. That had been what kept her from letting go last time.

"Okay, so like this?" she asked, and walked slowly towards the lane. One, two, three, swing back on the fourth step, and let go as it came forward...

The ball hadn't been swung with a lot of force, and it was aimed all wrong to hit any of the pins that were left, but she'd done it! She turned around with a grin on her face.

"If there had been pins there, that would've been beautiful, Syb," Avery teased, then watched as Ritsu marked down Sybil's score.

"Okay, I will go now. Sammy-san, would you mind if I asked you to score?" Ritsu asked quietly. Avery gave him an offended look, but merely huffed from his seat, where he slouched momentarily before watching Ritsu get his ball, wind up and send the ball down the lane.

They all watched as the ball cleanly hit the first pin, and the effect was like domino's. Ritsu had gotten a strike! Avery leapt up and whooped, fist punching the air above him. Ritsu himself looked completely astonished, turning around blinking at the others.

"Way to go, Ri! How do I do that?" Sybil asked him, tugging at his wrist with her two smaller hands impetuously.

ShoeBandit
Sammy giggled and cheered at Sybil tried the new technique and succeded in throughing the ball. Then she smiled brightly as Ritsu asked her to keep score. "Sure!" she said as she plopped down in the seat he had just vacated, snickering a little at Avery as he pouted.

As the strike was throne, she alsmost dropped the pencil. "That was so cool!!" she squeeled, quickly scribling an X on the score board before jumping out of the seat and spinning around.

She stopped before she got to dizzy, and staggered to where her ball waited. "Guess that makes it my turn again. If you role a strike you only role once...right?" She thought she remebered her Mom saying something like that.

So she moved up to the alley and tried bowling again. But she was too dizzy from spinning and the ball launched itself into the gutter. Popping up onto the other lane in the process. Somehow getting a strike! Even though it didn't count.

"Oops," she giggled inocently as she retrieved her ball. Tossing it, she managed to knock down five pins this time round.

rimedragona
Ritsu nodded at Sammy's question as he sat down, still a little stunned at the fact that he'd gotten a strike. He shook his head at Sybil, not knowing how to tell her what to do. He almost missed the wild throw of hers though he caught the tail end of it as it crashed into the other lane and made a strike, though in the wrong lane. Gulping worriedly, he looked over at the counter to see the Alley owner shaking his head with a sigh.

Ritsu hoped the lane hadn't been dented. He didn't want to get into trouble.

But then it was Avery's turn. He got up, narrowed his eyes in concentration, and sent his ball careening down the lane again, getting five of the pins. He came back for another round, and threw the ball towards the remaining pins, getting all but the one in the back center. "Oh, come on! How can I miss that one! Oh, well. Okay, Sybil, your turn again. Go ahead, try it like you did last time again." he urged, getting over his dissapointment quickly.

Ritsu marked Avery's score down as Sybil approached the lane with intense concentration. She bowled the ball, and amazingly, got four of the pins! On her next try, she didn't do as well, only getting two of the remaining pins. She was getting a little better at bowling the ball, though she still had no aim to speak of.

ShoeBandit
Sammy hugged her bear tightly to her chest as she noticed that the person who gave her her shoes when she first came in wasn't happy with Sammy's accidental antics.

Laughing nervously, before cheering happily for Sybil. "That was much better!!"

rimedragona
It was Ritsu's turn again, and due to his sheer shock and now nervousness about getting a strike, his first try was a gutterball.

"Don't sweat it, Ri. Just bowl, right?" Avery called, encouraging the older boy as he draped himself across one of the uncomfortable plastic chairs. He would be a natural at being boneless by the time the teenage years struck.

Sybil cheered, too, smiling at Sammy with bright eyes, having so much fun. She turned her attention back to the lane as Ritsu took his second ball.

He managed to not get a gutterball again, but he was still nervous, and he managed to get three on the corner. He sat down at the scoring table again with a sigh of releif. "Whew..." he muttered.

Avery urged Sammy up for her turn. "Don't throw it again, Sam!" he laughingly teased, still draping over his chair. Sybil watched intently.

ShoeBandit
Sammy smiled and nodded. Getting up, she placed her bear in th seat she just vacated before moving to pick up her ball. Glancing over her shoulder at the bowling alley person, she gulped slightly before stepping up and sending he ball down the lane.

It went about half way down and then started to reverse spin. Pickin gup speed until it collided with the pins. Taking out 9 of them. Getting her confindense back, Sammy waited patiently for her ball to come back before trying again. Somehow managing to knock down the last pin.

"I did it!!" she cheered happily. "I did it, I did it!!"

rimedragona
"Yeah! That was good, Sam! Real smooth and stuff!" Avery congratulated her, then went for his own ball. He centered himself on the lane, then bowled the ball. When it reached the end of the lane, it sent most of the pins flying, missing three on one corner.

He 'grrr'd' at the lane a bit, then retrieved his ball and went back for the second try. "C'mon!" he said as he tried, and he got all but the cornermost one.

"Aw, shoot." he said with a sigh, and rolled his eyes at Sybil as she pranced past him for her turn.

"Give it your best, Syb!" he said as he plopped back down in the seat.

Sybil rolled the ball down the lane. It was slow at first, but it began to pick up speed, and when it reached the end, it took out half of the pins.

"Now I just need the other ones!" she said with a smile, and got her ball for another try.

She moved over and rolled the ball again. It hovered on the edge, almost a gutterball. "Oh, no!" she cried.

Then it curved back around a bit, and struck the rest of the pins, getting all but two of them. She jumped up and down happily.

"That was good, Sybil... You're better then me," Ritsu offered.

"Whatchu talking about, Ri? You got the only strike so far! ... Well, the only strike that counts, anyway. Sorry, Sammy," Avery apologized with a grin.

ShoeBandit
Sammy blushed at the mention of her renagade strike. She honestly didn't think it was a big deal. But if the others did than she'd agree with them.

"You're doing really great Sybil!" she congratulated. Smiling brightly as she made her bear dance a little jig in her lap. "And you're a really good bowler too Ritsu."

rimedragona
"Anyway, that means it's Ri's turn. Go on! I'll score this time!" Avery jumped up, and was in the seat as soon as Ritsu vacated it, looking victorious.

Ritsu approached the lane, sighted, and bowled. The ball had some curve to it, so it struck the pins and sent them flying, but missed four on the left. He tried again, and got them all. Avery dutifully marked down the scores, and grinned at Ritsu as he gave back the scorer's seat.

"Okay, that means Sam is up!" he said, and winked at her. "Hey, is anyone thirsty? I got some money, I was gonna go get a soda." he offered, looking around at the group.

Ritsu shook his head. "I am fine, Avery-san," he said,

Sybil, however, nodded enthusiastically. "Do they have Coke? Or root beer?" she asked, kicking her feet in the chair she was sitting in.

"I dunno. Hey, Sammy, how 'bout you?" he asked.

RP found here: Last Days of Summer!

rimedragona
Sybil was bored. Her mother had gone to the adoption center to take care of some business, and since everyone else had things to do, she got taken along. But, it seemed there wasn't anyone there to play with right now.

So she was bored. Bored bored BORED!

And she'd left her Tarot at home, which meant she couldn't even work on her fortune telling. She sighed, loudly, but since she was alone in the playroom, no one heard her.

The little half-breed thrashed her python tail about in a tantrum, and decided to go find someone to play with. "There must be someone to around here. I'll just go find them," she said, and nodded. That was a good solution. She was four, so she was a big girl.

She had a brief moment of doubt, because her mother had told her to stay in the playroom, but she wouldn't make her stay somewhere there wasn't anyone to play with, right?

Sybil snuck out of the playroom, then looked both ways down the hallway. No one. Wings and tail flying behind her, she raced down the hall to the lobby. Still no one.

"Hmph." Well, there must be someone outside, then. She pushed hard at the front door, and walked out onto the sidewalk.

There were lots of people out here. Some were walking hurriedly, some were strolling casually... there were some people sitting on a bus stop bench nearby, and other standing at the corner, waiting to cross. She wondered if any of them would want to play with her. Only one way to find out. She started towards one of them to ask.

The person she chose was a girl like her, not an adult. Maybe she was bored, too? Sybil hoped she would play.

RP found here: Choose Your Costume!

rimedragona
Sybil kicked her feet and pulled at the itchy scarf around her neck. She was passably warm, but the little half-breed was always sensitive to cold weather, and Autumn was definitely on its way. And she wasn't having much fun at the moment. Her mother kept assuring her they were "almost there," but almost always seemed so long to the distractable four-year-old.

Her eye was caught for a moment by several brightly colored leaves dancing in a gust of wind. She giggled and reached out for them, spinning in a circle as they swirled.

"Wait, come back!" she cried, pouting as they continued on their way.

"We can go look for others later, okay? Here's the mall, let's go in, sweetie." Rime pointed inside, and a few seconds later, they were heading to the costume store. They'd found out the hard way last year that each kid had to be taken seperately for costume hunting.

"Momma! I want to try that one!" Sybil cried, as she plastered herself to the display window. She was looking in at what appeared to be a dinosaur costume of some sort, or perhaps a dragon.

Rime smiled and let her go so she could pull it off the shelf. The little girl did so, tearing past people with abandon in order to reach the costume.

Tenshi_Kuronaho
Sadly, for little Sybil, her dinasour costume wouldn't be so easily accessed, as a young demoness just happened to be standing in front of the stand, right in her way. She seemed to be having a minor tiff with a sales clerk aswell.
"What do you mean you don't have this in real leather? How can I be a dominatrix if I'm wearing a nylon bustiar? I need leather!"
"I'm sorry miss, but we don't have that. It'd be too expensive with that design. Why don't you go for one of the simpler ones? They're leather."
"They cover too much skin." Onii huffed, before she shoved the nylon peice of junk in the man's arms.

"I guess I'll just have to be a nurse like originally planned. I'll just find someone to play doctor with me later." She huffed agian, crossing her arms. She didn't even realise she was in the small girls way.

rimedragona
Sybil almost didn't see the girl standing in her path. At the last moment, she realized that there wasn't enough room, and despite a heroic effort of flailing arms and skidding feet, Sybil managed to careen instead into the next clothes rack, the one holding the leather dominatrix costumes the older girl had rejected.

Rime covered her mouth, and moved forward into the store as the little girl shakily extricated herself from the mess of fallen costumes. She looked both shaken and sheepish, and one wrong move could create a crying tantrum.

"I... I want... my Momma..." she whimpered. But Rime was still halfway across the store.

Tenshi_Kuronaho
Onii had stopped in her argument with the sales clerk when she heard a crash behind her. She turned her head and spotted a small girl, and couldn't help but grin. The clerk took this oppertunity to run off and help other customers.

"Hey there little one. I'm not your momma, but I can help ya get out of this mess." The succubus said to the little girl as she picked her up by her armpits, and picked a leather thong off her head.
"You gotta slow down a little bit, otherwise you'll never be able to walk right in heels." said the wise voice of slutisim. She then began picking up the bustiars that fell.
"You looking for a costume, little girl?"

rimedragona
Luckily, that was just the right tone to take. And had the added bonus of a distracting question at the end. "Heels? What's heels?" she wondered, but was distracted again by the process of picking up the fallen outfits.

The little half-breed recovered as everything was picked up of the floor. Sybil bent to pick one of the tops up, and held it out, a curious expression on her face. She'd never met this other girl, but...

"You have a mark on your face, like me! And a tail, too!" she declared, eyes wide, then answered the question that had been directed at her. "Uh huh... I wanted the dinosaur one. Who're you?" she asked, curious who this girl was.

Tenshi_Kuronaho
"Heels are the shoes I'm wearing. They make your butt look nice and tight when you walk." Onii said as she pointed to the sparkly strap heels wrapped around Onii's perfectly petacured feet. She then smirked at the little girl, pleased with how she took notice of her apearance.

"Yup, we both have marks. And I'm Onii." she said contently, before a fuzzy head poped out of her purse. Ane had gotten curious when he heard new voices.
"And this is Ane, my pet cat. What's your name, little girl?" she asked as she finished putting back the fallen costumes. She then looked over at the dinasour one.. Eh.. That wouldn't be too flattering. She'd have to help the little girl turn herself into a shesour.

rimedragona
Rime had been on her way over, but she paused when it appeared that the young demoness had it under control. Should she interfere? Well, there was a chair over there, probably provided for the comfort of accompanying adults. She could keep an eye on the pair from there.

Sybil looked down at Onii's feet, and repeated, "They make your butt look nice..." as though committing the information to memory, probably to be repeated at the most inopportune moment later.

But then there were introductions, and this was something Sybil knew how to do very well! She stood up tall and in a grown up voice, she said, "Hello, Onii. Hello, Ane. I'm Sybil, it's nice to meet you!" and put out her hand to be shook in a cheeky manner a bit more reminicent of her older brother Avery than the manners Rime had helped her practice.

"I don't have a cat, but I have a fish! His name is Finny!" she said, grinning. She had almost entirely forgotten about the costume. But not quite. "Oh, the dinosaur!" she said, and looked around for where she had been going.

Tenshi_Kuronaho
Ane streched out of Onii's purse and shook the girls hand with his paw, it was a trained responce from Onii. He then puured as he leend back in the bag, simply enjoying the view. He had to hide because most mall folk weren't too keen on him tagging around the shop.

Onii couldn't help but giggle as Sybil introduced herself, clapping her hands together.
"You're just darling." she said, before pointing to the costume wrack.
"It's over there. But really, do you want to be a bloated dinasour? I can help you pick something out that'll make you look really cute!" she coaxed. She couldn't let the farer sex go out as a pudgy gut lizard.. That was just unorthadox.

rimedragona
Sybil giggled at the cat shaking her hand, and watched him for a moment, but then her expression took on a worried look at Onii's response to the dinosaur costume.

She really had wanted to be a dinosaur, but something about the way Onii said that made Sybil start to think it was a bad idea. So she turned to the older girl and nodded. "Okay! Like what?" she wondered and looked around curiously.

Tenshi_Kuronaho
Onii looked Sybil over for a minute, eyeing her tail in particular.
"Hmmm... Well, we can still make you a dinasour. But I can make you an even cuter dinasour costume than that one. How does that sound?" Onii winked as she leened over to be eye level with the girl. She then began looking around the store, before she smirked.
"First we're going to need body paint. Green and yellow and red."

rimedragona
Sybil brightened when she heard she could still be a dinosaur, and followed Onii willingly around the store, collecting what they would need. The body paint was easily found, as there was an entire counter filled with cosmetics.

"Ooh! Glitter!" Sybil said, pointing with one hand while holding a paint jar in the other. She hoped that the silver sparkles would be part of it, as well.

Rime watched this procession with curiousity, wondering what exactly Onii had said that had deterred Sybil from her dinosaur costume. And what the paint was for.

Onii scratched her chin with the underside of her finger when Sybil pointed out the glitter. Hmmm, yes. They could use that too. She picked up a container of it, and looked down to the little girl.
"Do you want to be a dinasour with spikes, Sybil? If so we're gonna have to go to the scary mask isle and also get some sticky tack." And a plain bra and pair of shorts to boot, they'd have to dye most of her costume. Go for the glammer! Onii would always say. And 'the less fabric, the better.'

Oh.. It was doubtful Sybils mother was going to aprove of this.

The pair disappeared down an aisle and out of Rime's sight for a moment, and she waited patiently for them to reappear. If she had known what was on Onii's mind, she might not have been so complacent. Of course, this was the same woman that let her son run around last year in gold painted shorts and gold body paint for Halloween, so it was hard to know.

Sybil, though, was having a great time, especially since the glitter had been approved. "Yea! Spikes! On my head and back!" she cheered, and ran towards the mask aisle just ahead of Onii. She wouldn't be able to carry much more, since her arms were full of paint jars.

Onii picked up a set of rubber spikes and exsamined them, before looking to the small child. They'd be perfect. She tucked five of them under her arm, and then grabbed some super stiff hair gel, and sticky pads.
"Do you have a white tank top and a pair of white shorts at home you don't want anymore? We can use those as a crafts prodject to finish your costume. Home made ones are the in right now, you know."

So why was she here at the costume store herself? Oh.. Personal reasons.

Sybil thought for a moment. She had white pants, but not any shorts. "I have a tank top with little yellow flowers at the bottom. But I don't have white shorts. Momma says they get dirty too fast. Hey! I betcha Momma would get me some!" she said, and nodded emphatically.

Before Onii could say anything, she shouted, "MOOOOMMMMAAA!!!" in a searching tone.

Rime stood up and was on her way before the cry died down, and she blithely ignored the glares and mutters of "control your children" as she found the aisle they were down.

"Sybil, what have I told you about the indoor voice?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

Sybil looked sheepish, and scuffed her foot a bit as she responded, "To use it when we're inside... But!" she said, and held out the paint.

"This is Onii! She's going to help me make a dinosaur costume of my own! Do I have any white shorts? I have the flower shirt!" she said, and Rime raised her eyes and shook her head.

"Hello, Onii, my name is Rime. Nice to meet you, dear, thank you for helping my little one. Did you need some help?" she asked, then answered Sybil, who was now looking like she burst out with the question again, "No, you have no white shorts. But, if you need them so badly, I can go buy some, and tank top that isn't your flower tank."

Truthfully, she didn't mind homemade costumes, in fact, preferred them. But, it also didn't hurt to look in the shops.

Onii smiled at Rime and bowed her head.
"Nice to meet you. Miss Rime." She then looked down at Sybil's enthusastic body, and nodded her head upward.
"Yeah, I was thinking we could use a white tank top and some shorts, and dye them in a dinasour print, and use paints for the rest of her body. That way she doesn't look all fat and bloated like she woulda with that kiddy costume." She explained.

"No girl wants to look fat." She added, before making a pleasant grin. Ane let out a mew of agreement, head still poking out from her purse.

Rime's eyebrows flew up, but she quickly recovered, and laughed. "That sounds like a fine idea. What have you got so far?" she asked, looking with interest at the items in the girls' arms.

Sybil held up the paint jars again, looking a bit annoyed that Rime hadn't noticed them the first time. "Paint! And glitter, and spikes!" she said, grinning.

Rime nodded, and thought for a moment. "Will you wear your sandals? We can make you some claws, too, or find some here. Are you sure you won't get cold in this? Hmm... I'm glad the party is always indoors." she worried the last part out loud, but it was more directed at herself.

"Yeah, my sandals! And how will we make claws?" Sybil asked, looking at Onii. It seemed she trusted Onii's cleverness.
