Goddess? Apparently, the little cub had picked up on who she truly was. She shrugged it off, knowing it was in evitable. Especially to a seer, like this cub. She wasnt the type to keep certain facts obvious to others, unknown for long.
"Seers are quite amazing." She added helpfully, as she saw the cub's expression, indicating that he was considering his actual power. "They do have visions -- but I'm not entirely sure of the specifics, seeing as you are the first one that I've met."
His question, lingering in Khari's mind, as she carefully thought about her answer. "I am the goddess of dreams. I cannot say whether the results are how you wanted but -- " She smiled helplessly. "I did try my best. And my best, certainly isnt somthing to scoff at. "

Stifled a grimace as he listened to her, shaking his head to clear it as he rose to his paws.
"If you can't take the dreams from me, then you are useless to me. I don't want or need dreams of any kind." He huffed. Tufted tail hanging low between his hindlegs, his whole body shivering gently in the chill of the night. Sleep called for him, despite his fear of it. Maybe just a little nap, just until dawn... maybe her powers really had helped, or maybe they would choose to let him be for a time.
Green eyes watched the goddess for a time before he spoke again. "You shouldn't be out her so late you know... its not safe, not even here. My grandfather died on a night like this... "

Khari, listened intently to the small cub. "Everybody has dreams, whether its need or not needed. Its not something that you can just turn off. Why, not even adults can do that." Her voice calm. If any other lion but this cub, had told her that they didnt need dreams, Khari would be extremely hurt, but this small cub undoubtably had suffered alot, in order to say something like that.
She smiled inwardly, as the blue cub's movements seemed to slow down. In adults and especially in children, that presented a sign of sleepiness.
"Die?" Her eyes, slightly alarmed and puzzled they were, stared into his firm green eyes. "Well, I have no intention of dying anytime soon, so I will leave your territory, otherwise staying here until morning would mean a deathwish." The cub was right when they first met. Pridial territory wasnt a place to be, unless you were a pridal member.
Her wings that were so erect before, flapped slightly at her movements. "Goodbye little one. Maybe we'll meet up again?" Her paw landed gently on the little cub's forehead, as she ruffled his mane. She entreated, once again to the shadows, and disspeared.

Matsai watched the goddess with an unblinking gaze. Such an odd creature she was... fascinating, but strange and all together useless to him. Her domain was dreams, yet she couldn't take this curse from him. Was he to forever to fear sleeping? Deep inside, he snarled and roared out his frustration, but not a flicker of it passed over his face of ice.
Only when she touched his mane did a grimace pull at his maw, visions flickering like flames before his eyes before they faded away. When they cleared, she was gone and he sat blinking at the darkness.
With a sigh, Matsai turned and padded back into the cave. Maybe if he curled up against his twin's side, and really pressed into the matching blue body, the dreams might give him respite for a few hours. Ahai was the only creature in the world that he could touch and not be assaulted.
The goddess did leave him with something to think about though. Maybe, if he found the right god....
