Peri chuckled at JD's description of him. "Yeah, that'd be me. Nibal was excited to see his egg as well... Especially since he knows I work with dragons, but I never let him go see them..."
Nibal nodded, then thought for a moment. "Lotion?" He didn't know what lotion was, Peri never having any about. "Water makes it feel better..." He added, nodding. Though, maybe he should ask Peri about this lotion stuff.

Well, if water made it feel better and they were sitting in a puddle of water... Narayan splashed at the frog boy, grinning. Alright. He really, really really liked water fights. Except it was so hard to have it at home-- the tub was too small, and in other places, he got in trouble for being a "nuisance in public."
And this boy... well. Then he had all the reason in the world to splash this one. It was like the dream situation.
"Then we can play!" with shiny eyes, he let out a little trumpet of happiness.

Nibal grinned widely, then giggled. "Yeah!" He splashed the other boy back. This was fun! So, laughing happily, Nibal continued to splash Nara. It was a war! Who could get the other wetter?? Though, both were already fairly wet, so it wasn't as if either boy could get much more drenched.

Narayan swished his nose into the water. He wasn't very good at this yet-- sometimes it went too far and hurt a little bit, and sometimes his 'shots' were pathetic. But practice makes perfect, right?
JD watched the water fight with some amount of chagrin. Boys would be boys, or something. And this was harmless enough fun. But still... the thought of dragging a wet elephant boy home, or encouraging behavior like this? He had enough on his hands when it came to things Narayan did that he didn't approve of.
"He's always like that." the man said, as if he had to apologize for his son. But... it was better then nothing. "How do you handle with some of your kids little... quirks?"
It was more then curiosity that poked the man into asking. JD needed help. Desperately.

Nibal giggled as Narayan's nose swished about. It was funny to watch it. He wished his nose was like that. All he had was the poison on his skin and that wasn't fun because he had to wear clothes because of it.
Peri blinked at JD. "Well, uh..." Little quirks? "Other than trying to enforce him wearing clothes, I just kinda let him do what he wants... unless it looks dangerous or something..." The man shrugged. No one ever said he was the best parent, though he thought himself much better than that woman that was taking care of Anoki. He wasn't strict like that and Nibal wasn't terrified of him. Though, it was his irresponsiblity that landed him with the kid in the first place. Possibly not Alan's brightest idea for a parent, but it seemed to work out okay.

Narayan giggled as well. This was fun. And relaxing too. Leaning closer, he whispered (as if his opinion was such an important, highly guarded thing) "Nibal is cool even wif his sick skin!"
Well. That WAS what his da had said, right? That the skin made people sick? So sick skin was his natural conclusion.
JD tilted his head. So no strange quirks otherwise, from this boy? Well, maybe Nibal would be a good influence on Narayan, then. That would be good-- having a boy who would encourage Narayan in a good way, rather then a bad one.
As Narayan wiggled his feet and embedded them into the squishy mud, he gathered some in his hands too. It was cool, and look! It was squoodgy. Holding onto it, he offered it to Nibal.
Yeah. The gift of gods. Or something.

Nibal thought on that. Sick skin? So that was what was wrong with him! Maybe he should've asked that lady who gave him shots about his skin. P'las acted like it wasn't a bad thing, though... He'd ask P'las about it later, when they were home.
"Oooh, mud!" He took some, taking off his hat and plopping the mud on top of his head. "Ooooh... that feels good!"

Narayan eyes were shiny as he stared at the mud plopping. He didn't like putting any in his hair because it got sticky and gross and then SOMEONE WOULD ALWAYS TRY TO CUT IT OFF. But this boy was smooth! Wiggling forewords, he reached out and tried to plop some more mud onto Nibal's head, taking care not to get it in Nibal's eyes.
"This funner!" he said, nodding. And hey, maybe this would be like lotion and cure Nibal's sick skin?

Yes, Nibal was lucky in that he had no hair. One of the only few bald D-corpers, though Nibal didn't seem to notice or really care. And Peri was just glad that he got to save money from no haircuts.
The frog boy grinned as Narayan piled more mud on his head. If only he knew that some women paid lots of money for what he was getting for free right now...

Narayan let out a happy little trumpet. This was fun. It was like squidgy clay, kind of. Patting at it gently (sick skin! He remembered not to touch the skin) he sank his hands into the water again.
"Da hates mud." he said, somewhat sad. It was such a glorious thing-- soft and cool and wet. "S'funny that he's letting me play in it now."
Suspicious funny more like it, but the boy was having too much fun to think hard about the consequences of this.
"Nibal!"

Peri eyed the two boys for a moment. The elephant boy did seem to be taking care not to touch Nibal, but he had a few anti-toxins with him... just in case. It was bound to happen sometime or another that the boy poison someone else...
Nibal grinned. "Why your Da hate mud? Mud is fun and ooey and gooey..." The boy's grin widened, then he blinked as some of the mud decided to ooze down his face. He reached up to wipe it out of his eyes.

Narayan giggled as he watched the mud, reaching out and then stopping too. Sick skin! Turning to look at Peri, he tilted his head. "Does your da like mud?" Hey, maybe they could invite the man to join them! That way there would be more people and... well. If you have lots of people sitting in a bathtub, the water level goes up, right?
Maybe the mud and water level in the puddle would go up too.
"It IS fun!" he agreed, his eyes narrowing as he smiled fully. "Nibal's covered in it~~"

Nibal frowned, thinking for a moment as he turned to look at his dad. "I 'unno," the boy admitted to his friend. "I never seen him play in mud..." Nibal shrugged.
Nibal giggled. Yes, he was covered in mud and it was fun! Peri just sighed at the sight of his mud covered child and knew that the first thing he did when they went home would be to dunk that kid in a bathtub... and wash those clothes. The boys looked to be having too much fun to stop it over some mud that could be washed off...

JD wasn't thinking similarly. Sighing and lamenting over how he was going to take a boy so muddy home (he'd have to invest in one of those man bags... for Narayan to carry. Maybe having a permanent set of spare clothing would be a good habit to invest in this one.) and how he was going to get him CLEAN (all the rooms had carpets or tatami or... something just as hard to clean mud off. Which meant the bathrooms through the traditional routes were off) JD turned to Peri with a somewhat wry expression.
"I'm sorry. Does your son usually do this?" He was apologizing, of course. Because certainly, surely no one liked to have their son get so dirty. "Narayan... usually I have better control over him."
JD was slowly starting to blame everyone on The Event.

Peri blinked, then laughed. "I can't say that he has done this before, but I wouldn't put it past him..." Come on, this was the man who had a streaker for a child... a poisonous streaker at that. He needed a better grasp on his own child.
