It seemed like the fist time that someone had appreciated what he did. Her purring was soothing and he didn't mind her company, unlike most of the cheetahs he had met before her. He gave her a stoke and smiled as she layed next to him.
He had belived in the older, the wiser when he was a cub until he realized that the the older animals just didn't get it. Then he started to realize that you should listen to those younger than you too. They can know more than you do and teach you more than you can teach them.

Amai had always learned that you should listen to those older than you, their suggestions and the things that they said to make you stronger and smarter. The help that Jaha had given her was kept in the back of Amai's mind so that she would remember them when she became a great healer one of these days.

Jaha was happy that he had learned from Amai and he hoped that she had learned from him. There is no such thing as a bad student, only bad teachers.
He continued to stroke Amai and had an expression of shock as a fish near his paw leaped out of the water and smacked him in face with its tail. Then, suddenly he burst out in laughter like he hadn't in years.

Pricking both ears at the older lion, Amai giggled at the fish's actions. Sometimes fish just had to be fish and fight back at those that ate them when they were hungry. After all, how would she feel if something loomed on the edge of her world and tried to pet her through the sky?
Amai knew she'd probably freak if something like that happened, so she didn't feel the need to be too shocked about the fish.

Jaha immetiatly stopped laughing as he saw that she was staring at him and lowered his head and blushed, which was semi-noticable because of his white fur, but partially not beacause of his red mane.

Amai almost got confused a bit by his reaction but didn't say a word as she smiled and turned back to the water and the fish again. It wasn't in her nature to judge others when they blushed, she WAS her father's daughter after all.

Jaha was very surprised that Amai didn't laugh at him for blushing like everyone else he had met. They had thought that blushing was for little female cubs, NOT for adult male lions.
He now felt that anyone who wouldn't laugh at him because he was embaressed was definatly trust worthy. He felt like he could talk in complete sentences with her.

Flasing a grin up at her elder, the little cheetah stood and smiled down at the fish as well. She loved to learn, she loved to see and she loved to experience.
So it was time for her to go and do that. Jaha had taught her quite a bit in the tiny bit of time she'd spent with him this day. She'd have to remember that it took a clam paw to get through some things and to experience others.
"Thanks Jaha." She smiled sweetly and bowed up to him. "I need to go, I have to find something, but thanks for teaching me how to pet the fish!"
With that she trotted off to use what she'd just learned and to find some more things to suck up for her quest of healing.

Jaha bowed back to Amai and said,"Bye!". He sighed as one of the few friends he had walked out of his sight
He walked around pondering the kindness she had shown him. He was also wondering if he would ever meet her again.
He wept at the thought of not seeing her again. He layed on his rock with tears in his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
