I was way younger and at my babysitter's house. She had recorded all the episodes on Cartoon Network and since I was bored she played them. *Laughs* Poor Heero nearly kills himself.

Unfortunately, I hadn't yet heard of it back when it was on Cartoon Network, so after I read all the GW manga, I went and bought Endless Waltz in like...2002? Sometime around then~. I had to watch it in Japanese first, much to my mother's disappointment, because I fell out of my chair (literally) when I heard Duo's English voice. n_n

Gee, like almost everyone here, I first saw Gundam Wing on Cartoon Network's Toonami. I fell in love with it even though the first few episodes I saw confused the heck outta me. It was when I was in Junior High, I think... Can't remember exactly which grade. I'm thinking 7th or 8th grade.
I've only ever watched it in English... Unfortunately, I still haven't bought the DVDs yet so I haven't heard it in Japanese. But I have read some of the manga, though I don't think I ever bought all of those, either.
On a related note, I was able to meet Duo's English dub voice actor, Scott McNeil at an anime convention called Anime Central (ACen) in Chicago. I nearly started foaming at the mouth! I always loved Duo from Gundam Wing, and all the characters that Mister McNeil has leant his voice to (including Koga from Inuyasha) have been some of my favorites. Not to mention Mister McNeil is pretty good-looking in that "hairy manly-man who wears cowboy hats" kinda way...
Anywho, it was cool. sweatdrop

Some friends of mine told me about Gundam Wing, and suggested I take a look at it. So I bought the DVD (since it's fairly cheap at the moment). That's...pretty much it. No real expansive story behind it. *Laughs*

Back in the late 90's I was at my grandmothers house and I would watch it there because I wasn't allowed to watch Toonami at home. ^_^ I loved that Duo.

The first time I ever saw Gundam Wing was on Cartoon Network when it was on after school, and when there was Dragon Ball Z, Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, and all that good stuff. I was in first grade and that was the first thing I did when I got home. Go watch to Toonami, st was so fun, then I got grounded forever so I couldn't watch then. Then all the good got cut, man that sucked.

I was also in the forth grade when I saw it. ^_^
First, I was pissed because they took Ronin Warriors off Toonami but I got over that pretty quick. I was at my house. I still remember the first commerical I saw of Heero. (not sure if it was the first one I had seen though)
You all know what the heero epi is. ^_^ There I am, sitting on my bed with my friend and I'm just sitting there blinking. I jump up and start yelling "HE'S MINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SAW HIM FIRST! HE'S MINE!!"
lol ^_^ When we were stupid and love sick on anime boys (which we got pretty bad) we had to be the first ones to claim them. *sighs* So many times fought over anime boys....It's kinda pathetic.
^_^ But no one ever questions who Heero belonged to in my group. XD
