Goma shivered a bit, sort of panicked at the idea of being a father.
"Alright, alright calm down," He paused to think, putting a paw to his head, searching the ground as if searching his mind. "First have to get you home, into the den and away from the light. It should be cool there and un....um....I will go out and get you water. Course I will have to carry it in my maw and give it to you that way or I will lose it on the way back. Kaede, tell you the truth, I dunno what to do. I've never done this before, got it memorized?"
He got to his feet and lowly nudged her softly, trying his best to comfort her make the best for his problem. He did this to her and now he had to fix it. At least make it as comfortable for the victim here. She was so sweet to him and yet he did this to her? What sort of royal blooded lion would do this? Apparently, this was their first actual moment if she was just now experiencing pregnancy, then again he hasn't from what he could remember.
"Come on now, easy does it. We will have to move quickly and hope that you aren't bearing my pups. I would have no idea what to do. Come now, Kaede."

Kaede tried breathing deep, but now she was nervous and scared and shook still. She whimpered, what would she do if she was...pregnant. What would she do? She listened to Goma and nodded slightly at his words. That statement, memorized, he said it before. Perhaps he was starting to remember, perhaps.
"Maybe...maybe its just cause its hot and...and I haven't eaten in a while but..." she was trying to think of what else might make her feel this way. Could it be from grief too? She wasn't particularly sure, not at all. She felt him nudge her, and she tried to stand up, but laid back down again, trying to situate herself.
"What...if I am Goma..." she spoke softly, stood up, and wobbled but held her footing. She stepped next to him and leaned against his side. "Would you still stay with me?" She wondered if he wished it would not happen. All she knew was that she was unsure of everything pertaining to pregnancy and 'cubs', but she didn't want him to leave again. If she was to be with anyone, she would choose Goma all over again.

Goma narrowed his eyes sternly and lied down again. He had given up, he could not force an ill female to do something that she cannot. He let out a sigh and looked at her.
"Well, from what you've told me and assuming it is right, you may be....and if you were I'd have to stay due to being my fault. I suppose if you were to bear them, then I would be there to take care of them too."
He paused as a paw came to his chin, looking up as in thought.
"However...if that was not the case, then I would stay with you anyways. Frankly, I don't have much choice in the matter. You are the only thing I could remember really and you know me so the way I see it, you are all I have. Right?"
He said with a smirk.

Kaede smiled and curled up close to him, the sun was moving from the high point in the sky making it get slightly cooler. Perhaps they could just rest here until it got close to the horizon, then they could go back then, and rest. Later she would get water if she had too.
She was just glad he would stay, "Yes, it seems that way..." her voice was quiet and she closed her eyes, laying close next to him. She wasn't shaking anymore, she wasn't scared to the point where she was crying. Her tears had dried up for the most part, she just wanted to lay next to him as the sun began to set.

Goma looked up to the sky for a moment. Where has his memories gone? ....he was starting to grow weary of their return. Looking down to the female beside him, she was growing on him. The jackal placed his paw on her head and smiled.
"Get some rest, Kaede."
He murmured as he leaned down and licked her head softly. If she was indeed pregnant with his pups....then...it would be his responsibility as the father, right? That was what males did right? He couldn't remember much of anything. Bits of fragments splintered his mind and then there was this female. But, he did not mind it this way.

Kaede smiled as she felt his paw upon her head, felt him close, felt the warmth, the company, she was not alone. "Perhaps that would be the best..." she said softly, sleep coming on fast. Perhaps a short nap would be good before they head back. She was tired, the heat had gotten to her greatly.
If she was pregnant with his pups, perhaps it might be good for her to bring him to meet her family, or find out what they should do in case of that fact. She still hoped it was just heat exhaustion and the fact she hadn't eaten very much in a while. Either way, Goma would be there, and she wouldn't be alone anymore.
She yawned and as she did she squeaked and lay her head down adn curled close to him. Dreams entered her mind and she smiled as she slept, breath calm.
This seemed to be her happy ending.
