She laughed. "Vindictive, am I?" she cooed, and fluttered off a ways. "I wouldn't know how horrible you are at trysting, I've never had one. Would you give me a learning curve?"
She posed, plummeting a bit as she froze her wings, catching herself on them gracefully. Lucky her body was light, or she'd have been in trouble. "As for the waterfall.... are you saying I am not so lovely that almost as beautiful as me wouldn't blow your mind?" she waggled her brows.

Ok, it had to be a sign of some level of cameraderie when something like a tryst became a joke. Then again, tryst had always been a remarkably funny word. The ridiculousness of the situation was too much for Safi to keep a straight face, but he managed to keep at least the laughter under control...for the time being. "I'm assuming you've had at least one tryst, otherwise I have to admit I'm baffled as to where your kids came from."
Eyes dancing with amusement, he swatted at the fluttering Selene with a wing, staying on the ground for the time being rather than attempt to catch a flutter by air! "And now you're talking in double talk, and that's just too much for my poor mind. Sounds like you're trying to fish for even more compliments; isn't my first one enough?" At that, he laughed again. As though he was the one to properly give compliments anyway!

"Forrest?" she made a face. "That was no tryst. That was an act of desperation." then she peeked around guiltily, as if in fear the stallion would hear her.... not that they got along anyways. "So be baffled, precious. Half the time, I don't know where they came from!"
And darn! Her plot revealed! She darted out of the way of his wing. "I thrive on compliments, stallion. Feed them to me, and you have a loyal ally. As opposed to me, who flits wherever the wind blows."

"Act of desperation or no, the physical aspect still makes it a tryst; maybe that just means you have to set your bar of comparison pretty low to start off with. Though I think it'd be pretty safe to say I'd fall into that area myself!" Chuckling, Safi made another attempt to swipe the fluttering mare from the sky, swishing out with the other wing this time.
"As to helping you, you know how much I hate to be useful. Why would I be, when it's so much more entertaining to be obnixous? And besides, I haven't gotten a chance to see you huffy yet! Do you really want to cheat me out of my fun for your own selfish pleasure, Selly?" Somehow...he wouldn't be surprised if the answer was yes!

She made a face. If.... that act was a tryst, they were painful, and she was tempted not to have another. EVER. No matter if she wanted 12 dozen foals. She was dragged from her musings as his other wing popped up and got her. Dramatically, she let herself fall to the ground, letting her breath out with an oomphy-puff.
She got up, breathing hard, and puffed at him. "There. You've seen me huffy." The only other response he got to his question was a wicked grin.

Stepping back so as to not get hit when Selene fell, Safi smiled victoriously at finally succedding. "I knew that I would have to bring you down eventually, for you are just like our bee friends in your need to hover around. Maybe that's why they keep coming to you!"
As she rose to her feet, he found himself chuckling at the indignity of her actions; most other mares he knew seemed so wrapped up in form that they never had fun. "That wasn't what I meant, and you know it, Selly! But, all silliness and trysting thoughts aside, I wouldn't mind checking out this waterfall. After all, water's my color!"

There was something about Safi that drover her crazy. That had to be it. A dignified mare like her, acting like a filly. But then, that was half of his appeal. She could be fun, without having to worry about people calling her immature. After all, who was the pot to call the kettle black?
She looked do... err, well, technically, UP her nose at him (darn those tall stallions! scream ) and gave him a superior looking-over. "I don't know that I should show you my waterfall." she said musingly. "After all, that was the place I discovered that waterfalls were where the stars went when they got tired. It's a very special place."

Somehow, Safi wasn't surprised that Selene was trying to snipe him all of a sudden. After all, he had one-upped her, now it was her turn to one-up him? Well, too bad for her that he was awesome at this sort of thing! Or at the very least, it was insanely hard to rile him up. Hurrah for personality!
Consequently, he received her comment with a shrug. "Hey, it's no problem if you don't want to; be selfish and hog your waterfall to yourself, it won't matter to me in the slightest." As he spoke, the stallion managed a look of wounded dignity, though the effort to hold it was told in the slight trembling of his body. Honestly, he couldn't think of how he'd managed all those weeks of seriousness...now he couldn't even manage a few minutes!

"Selfish it shall be." she sing-songed. "After all, you knocked my slender, dainty body from the sky like an utter brute, it might be hard to fly all the way there." she smirked. She eyed him carefully. Would he break first?
She doubted it.

...Slender, dainty body? Ok, now they were just getting into the realm of ridiculous self-indulgence. That was right on a level with Safi calling himself a buff stud-muffin, a concept he couldn't even think with a straight face. Damn, she was good at this game...
But then, so was he.
Shaking his head nobly, Safi half-turned away from Selene, his profile managing to convey the dignity his face could not. "If I'm such a brute, I seriously doubt you would have stuck around when I showed up. No, I think that you call me a brute, but deep within your heart you view me as a knight in shining armor, come to rescue you from your pursuers and sweep you off your feet. However..." Here he turned to look Selene full in the face, his expression now one of wounded pride. "I think that your desire turned to hatred when I refused to chase down your foe, and now you are determined to hurt me in any way possible!"
Such drama, such passion, such feeling! He ranked his performance at LEAST a 7! ^^

She had the oddest expression on her face, and she knew he could see this. A look of incredulity that asked clearly: Are you serious?! "What kind of a knight are you, if you will not even defend the honor of a lady?" she snapped, head tilting imperiously. THIS performance would be an 8, if not a 10.
She looked every inch the hoity-toity self-worshipping mare she knew a few of her past acquaintances thought she was. She met his gaze cleanly, her tummy clenching with suppressed laughter.

Without missing a beat or batting an eyelash, Safi deadpanned a response. "The kind that's a complete and utter b*****d, of course. Or haven't you figured that out yet?"
It was becoming harder to maintain the facade of grimness, but the spirit of competition could be a powerful thing. Safi wasn't exactly why this had started, but he couldn't let a challenge go unanswered! Besides, if he was any reader of body language Selene was going to crack very soon...and hopefully that would be before he did.

She couldn't help it. Eyes blinked, slowly, and she looked flummoxed for all of... half a second. "Well then." she stepped forward, haughtily, moving around him in a small circle. "I don't hold for bastards." (( sorry so short... ;-; ))

She didn't hold; she didn't hold? What the hell did THAT mean?
"You don't hold what? The door, a place in line, the phone, the bag, a pitch? You have to clarify things for me a bit here, Selene, otherwise I'm going to be reduced to a state of complete and utter confusion, and knowing how I am when I know what's going on...well, who knows how that could turn out?" Abandoning all and every pretense at being serious, Safi reached out with a wing and snagged Selene as she circled, vigorously tousling her mane. That had been fun, but it was more fun to enjoy himself! "Remember, I'm supposedly an idiot, remember?"

She made a protesting noise and ducked, trying to fix her mane vainly. "Safi!" she forgot all about his question for a moment, until she was sleek again. "You're causing trouble today." she teased, and glanced at him. "Are you sure I can't convince you to join me in a race? If you race with me, I'll show you my waterfall, and treat you to apples." she tried to bribe the stallion.
