Abel, unbeknownst to her, had watched her, not physically turning his head, but out the corner of his gaze. She had caught his interest, not in a perverted way with most males about his age. Something was different about her, there was something, maybe something like the boy. And he knew a gift like that would make what he was sent to do much easier. He nodded also returning her greeting
Abel turned on the heel of his boot at her words, it wasnt hard, for he was thin and nimble. His thin fingers flipped the aged book in his hands as he spoke. "Yes, Miss"
His voice was honey smooth and almost musical, yet rang with the coldness as his eyes. You also notice he had an unfamiliar accent, that furthur caused him to stand out.
((ok, yea, sorry about that. I forgot to pm it to you because ive been working on it for a few days.))

Kaori bit her lip nervously, she knew that the question she was about to ask was quite personal. "Begging your pardon, sir, but... I noticed that you are not... well, not human.... I was wondering what exacly you are? We do not have very many non-humans around here and... well, it is always interesting for me when I meet another."
The young witch gripped her books tighly, hoping that the young man would not take offense to her question.

The way she said it, well, not human it stung a little, but non-human to non-human, he nodded, understanding. "Mmm, and I suppose you arent either than."
The way he worded it told her quite plainly he wasnt. He knewshe'd understand. Most did in the situation, which arose quite a lot. The conversation had been uncomfortable, especially since ninety percent of the time it was a human he was talking to. And because of this, he was not accepted.
He also noticed her chewing on her lip, and how her hard grip on the books was making her knuckles white, a clear sign of nervousness. "No need to be nervous miss, natural part of life.
He nodded again, this time to himself, his suspicions confirmed he was glad he wasnt wrong.

"No, I am not. I am a witch. The only one in this village, actually. Um... I am sorry if my questions are to personal, sir, but.... what are you? With there not being very many non-humans around... I am afraid that I do not have much experiance with different energies... I am Kaori, by the way," the young woman added, realizing that she had yet to introduce herself. She also realized that she was probably being to intrusive and blushed slightly.
'Great, he probably thinks that I am just some rude child now.... one of the few non-humans around and I botch up when meeting them, man....'

Abel bowed a little. "The names Abel, Miss Kaori. And I am a Half demon, and shapeshifter."
He answered her question as he stood up. He glanced to the passing citizens as they moved a good way around him, some gasping as they heard 'demon'. His gaze hardened as he looked back at Kaori. "Mmm, obvious there arent many around, If you dont mind my asking Miss, Why is there not many non humans around?"
He tilted his head slightly as he asked, and his gaze softened but not a lot. Abel tended to be cold to most, and not much to the liking of opening up to others. So not many knew his story, but understood when they did find out.

Kaori smiled, "It is nice to meet you, Abel. I have never met a demon or a shapeshifter before. And you would be correct, there are not many of us around here. Quite honestly I am not sure why that is. I think I am the only one that actually lives close to the village."
Kaori paused for a moment, her smile saddening a bit, "It is nice sometimes, but it gets quite lonely most of the time. The villagers here are kind to me though, they raised me after all."

"Likewise Miss, sorry 'bout my manners, or lack there of." At her response to his question Abel motioned over his shoulder. "Well, what of your young friend over there?"
Reading her facial expression Abel nodded, understanding all too well. "It is to be expected to feel that way, Miss Kaori."
His response was colder than intended it to be, but from non human to non human, he had meant it to be kind.

Kaori smiled at Abel despite the cool response. She knew that not everyone that was non-human was as lucky as she had been. s a result, she kept her expression soft and kind, "There is nothing to be sorry for, Abel, it is I who should be appologizing. My questions were rather personal..."
At his question, Kaori glanced over her shoulder to Bstiean. "He is a human, though he has some gift with magic. I did not get to know him very well while growing up. He has taken to hat new religion that has been sprouting everywhere. It bothers me sometimes... it seems to be drawing more and mroe people in..."

Abel smiled slightly back, but it still wasnt warm, still to this day he had a hard time opening up, or trusting people. The thoughts of why made the smile disappear as quickly as it had come. "Dont be sorry, Miss, Its nice for someone to be interested and not completely disgusted, scared, or completely and utterly rude. Its a comfort to know that someone out there is accepting. Though I'm sorry to tell you Miss Kaori, but I'm not as interesting as you like to think."
Abel nodded again, glancing over his shoulder at the boy. "mmhhmm, new religion. I know what you mean, and it is a bit worrying, isnt it?"

Kaori chuckled lightly, "Oh, pretty much everyone that end up coming to this village is interesting. For me at least. After all, they bring a change in routine."
Her expression grew a little more grim once he mentioned that the new religion was worrying. "It is... I have heard stories from other travelers.... sotries of what places where this religion has taken ahold of the people, turned them against us.... It is not fair for us, and i feel sorry for those that turn to it... they are afraid of what they do not know...."

Abel nodded and smiled, a small chuckle escaped him, but it was hollow, seeming to lack the happiness it should. Her statement did amuse him though, but memories left him as a hollow shell left in the darkness, feeling for a candle to light his way.
His face also fell as hers did. He shook his head, seeming to get distracted, looking off into space, but after a few moments, he did respond. "It's a scary thought, and its saddening to think of the outcome. I've seen the horrors, and its even worse than humans being judgemental when they hear 'demon.' "
He glanced around, thinking again. He shifted his weight from his right to his left, seeming a bit restless, his demon half showing it's colors a bit in his antsyness. "Miss? Do you know of a place we could sit down, and talk some more? Maybe get a hot meal?"
His mouth watered at the thought of a homecooked meal, it had been too long of him eating dried, over salted meats.

Kaori shook her head slightly, bringing her self out of her thoughts. "I am sorry, Abel. You must be hungry. Would you like to come to my house? I was heading back there actually. I would be glad to have you over," the young witch said, her smile back on her face. It was not often that she had guests, of any type. To have one that was like her, or similar to her at least, was twice the treat for the social young woman.

Abel nodded a bit, smiling slightly back, but it didnt last too long. He reached up again, abent-mindedly swiping away his long silver hair. "If its not too much trouble for you, Miss Kaori, if it is, i dont have to."
He shifted again, from one foot to the other, he sensed her excitement of the situation, but he still felt as if he would be too much trouble.
((omg, i dont have anything))

Kaori's smile brightened at seeing a glimpse (spelling?) of his. "It is no trouble." She asurred him, " it is just a bit of a walk outside of town. And feel free to just call me Kaori, there is no need to be formal."
((heh, neither do I v.v))

Abel nodded again, seeing her smile brighten, he smiled again, but it was merely a half-smile. "Well if you're sure its no problem. And a bit of a walk is no problem at all."
Abel agreed, his smile widening a bit at her request of losing the formality. "I'm sorry, M- Kaori." He exhaled and laughed a bit "I have just always grown up, manners being expeced of me."
