Aurora was now interestingly looking and testing out the container. "Humm this just can not be." she then lookedf up as she saw the other woman. She quikly stood up and brushed off her pants. "Hi,"

The infant laughed and giggled at the game, a look of concentration radiating from her sapphire eyes as she attempted to grasp the man’s fingers within her own. Despite the repetitive and futile nature of the game the girl didn’t tire of it, eliciting a startled squeak as her mother moved and the appendages she was after were disappeared from reach.

Following at a close, yet respectful distance, Guinevere slithered silently and purposefully into the depths of the Musaeum. Little surprise was registered at the revealing of a secret entrance, which was quickly trailed by the triggering of yet another concealed switch, although inwardly the naga wondered what other secrets the building kept hidden within its walls. As they reached the base of the spiral staircase Guinevere inclined her head in a gesture of appreciation to the mysterious man, crimson orbs watching him leave before the snake woman crossed the threshold into the library-like room.

“Hello” Guinevere greeted in reply, forked tongue flickering past her lips as she did so. Glancing to the canister upon the table, a familiar sight to the naga, the woman broke the settled silence once more. “May I assssk what exactly it issss that cannot be?” she hissed, shifting a squirming Aya from her hip and allowing her to stand supported on the table.

Aurora looked at Guinevere and quickly rubbed her eyes to make sure she was seeing things correctly. As she moved her hand away her suspicion was confirmed the woman was a naga. there was the silence as aurora tried to think of what to say of do next. Her hand touched the canister and she realized she being asked a question.

"Umm yeah this tube it is both leather and what looks to be stone like it was sort of petrified. I mean i have seen this happen in wood all the time but not to leather." she saw the little one she held and smiled.

"ooh my name is Aurora Eveneingstar. nice to meet you miss." Aurora held out one of her hands

Despite the need for Aurora to rub her eyes to make certain her vision wasn't deceiving her, the naga appeared rather unaffected by the display as it was one that often occurred. She was a rarity, even amongst the diverse world of Gaia, and had come to accept the second looks and puzzled expressions that were sent in her direction. “It isss certainly unusssual” Guinevere replied, her voice lacking the surprise that one would expect at such a strange container. “Doessss there happen to be anything insssside?” the snake-woman inquired, quirking a questioning brow at the other woman.

“Guinevere Sssserrano” the naga introduced in reply, offering Aurora's hand the briefest of shakes with her free hand. “And this is Aya” she added a moment later, the infant extending her hand as she had seen her mother and the mysterious woman do. Grinning and giggling at Aurora, the little girls attention was quickly diverted by the petrified canister on the table to which she instantly made grabbing hands.

“Damn you Orpheus” Cyn grumbled as she plodded through the snow. “If you hadn't given me this stupid flaming container I could be enjoying the solitude of an empty apartment” the woman continued, kicking at the snow savagely with her booted foot. Although she should have disposed of the useless trinket the moment she received it, the ghoul feared that the vampire would withhold the vitae that she craved so much and she was hardly in the mood (ever) to deal with withdrawal symptoms.

Pulling the door open sharply, the fair-haired woman scowled as the canister attached to her belt dinged loudly against the door. Stepping to the side and shifting around the door Cyn proceed with heavy steps toward the front desk. Unlike Aya before her, who had rung the bell out of simple curiosity, Cyn rung it out of impatience and irritation. “Hurry up” she hissed under her breath, ready to give the desk clerk a tongue lashing for abandoning their post.

Aurora Smiled and shook the little girls hand. "nice to meet you little one." she then diverted her atention back to the canester.

"I have yet to try to open it though it reminds me of the one that my Teacher sent me." dhr put her hand on the top of the cantainer. She tryed to open it and after a few minutes she had it opened and she looked in to it.

Dr. Smith was dragged out of his little lab and given a push down the isle towards the woman. The covered man however, hurried back up stairs. There was no sign that he could hear the bell from so far away, but something must have alerted him of his work.

Dr. Smith coughed as the woman was just about to look inside. "Er.. Good afternoon?" He asked looking from one woman to the next. In one hand he held the woman's scroll gently.

Up through the passageways he went, back back back to the desk. Coming from the Musaeum Hall, he walked briskly to the desk. A glance at the woman, and a the scroll case held in her hands was enough. He gestured her to follow him.

Aurora jumped as she herd Dr. Smith Caugh She looked at him the scroll case still in her hand with the top in her other hand. "Hello again Dr. Smith, I kind of found this scroll case in here. And umm it is very odd I mean it is of leather but also petrified in some places and it is hard as rock and I kind of opened it." she said trying to explain all that had happened and why she held an open scroll case.
"Whait is that the scroll That I gave you easrlier what did you find out about it." she hoped she was not in truble for opening the case.

“Doessss the one ssssent by your teacher bare ssssimilaritiessss to thissss one?” Guinevere asked, making a sweeping gesture in the direction of the semi-petrified canister. “The contentssss of your other casssse wouldn’t happen to be a worn sssscroll?” the woman continued, wondering how much it was safe to reveal without stepping on the toes of Nara and those with whom she worked.

Within her mother’s secure hold Aya continued to wriggle and writhe, struggling vainly to move closer to the interesting object upon the table. As Aurora reached for the container the little girl seemed to deflate and slump against Guinevere’s arms, but was soon back to her bright self as another figure entered the room. Grinning with enthusiasm, partly due to the scroll in the man’s hands, Aya resumed her energetic and grabbing movements.

Faint vibrations, ones that had grown increasingly stronger, had alerted the naga to the approaching Musaeum employee; and as he entered the room a pair of crimson eyes had been waiting to greet him. Offering a brief, and perhaps imperceptible, inclination of her head Guinevere greeted the man. The snake-woman’s silence continued as Aurora spoke, eager to discover what knowledge Dr Smith possessed about the scroll.

Cyn continued to ring the bell, her foot gradually adding its own impatient tap in conjunction with the shrill ringing bouncing off the walls. Finally a cloaked figure appeared, a sight which prompted a derisive snort from the waiting woman. “About damned time” Cyn openly hissed, crossing her arms over her chest and following loudly behind the man. Despite already holding a dislike toward the musty building and its inconsiderate staff, Cyn had managed to discern that she was at least in the right place from the look that had been directed toward the canister gripped in her hand. At least they can do something right, the ghoul grumbled as she continued to walk behind the mysterious figure.

Dr. Smith coughed. "Er.. yes. Well, it's not a fake for certain but I'm afraid I can't really pin down if it came from ancient Earth or not. See my assistant," more like the other way around the man thought, "who specializes in these tests is well.. missing."

He handed the scroll back to the woman without another thought. Turning to Guinevere he smiled a little nervously. "Can I help you?"

As Dr. Smith talked with the other woman something interesting was happening. There was a strange sort of mental itch going on with Aurora. Though she couldn't hear anything, the two scrolls were talked with each other. Soon, her scroll tugged slightly on her arm. It didn't look like it moved but the sensation was there.

Taking the long way to the room, Mr. Mysterious still ended up at the same isle quickly. Gesturing the woman in front of him he stood at the end of the isle, patiently blocking escape in that direction. Almost as soon as Cyn got to the isle, she to felt the itch, and a tug, though this time towards the end of the row.

She carfully took the scroll back. "Thank you Dr. Smith, Though I hope your Assistant gets back soon for I would love to know more." she she spoke some thing felt odd like some thing was was there but not there at the same time. She tryed to ignore it as she spoke but it seemed to get more and more bothersome.

The scroll in her hand seemed to be pulling at her lightly trying to get near the other scroll. She looked over at the scroll and saw hat it was not moening at all but it felt like it was.

Aurora looked at it with concern. "Did any one else feal that? I mean Dr. Smith while you had my Scroll did you feal like it was tugging on your arm."

Although Dr. Smith was correct in proclaiming Nara missing, Guinevere couldn’t help but feel that it was a rather gross understatement of the situation at hand - but in truth the affairs within the Musaeum were only her concern if there was a chance they would directly impact upon the safety of her daughter. As of the moment that was something the naga was still unsure about. Returning the man’s smile with a faint, yet similar, expression of her own, the woman lifted Aya into her arms and spoke quietly. “I have heard about the fate that has befallen Nara” she began, eyes locking with Dr. Smith’s unwaveringly. “You have my condolencessss and wisssshessss that sssshe is found with hasssste. But I am concerned about what thissss all meanssss for Aya, namely for her ssssafety”. Unconsciously Guinevere held her young child close, as if in some why that would keep her safe from the darkness and shadows that littered the world.

Rather red faced, and bordering of breathless, Cyn lumbered in behind Mr. Mysterious as he lead the heavily pregnant woman into a book-lined room. “Why don’t you make the trip even longer next time?” the woman growled from between gritted teeth as she passed the man. With the words having only just passed her thinned lips, Cyn felt an odd sensation spiralling up her arm - beginning as a tingle and progressing to the point where the flustered woman could have sworn something was pulling her forward. Scratching her hands around the scroll grasped there, attempting to still the itch while failing to link the ancient object with the sudden sensation, Cyn moved forward with purposeful steps; oblivious to the potential danger that could be lurking ahead and to the intention of the force that was guiding her.

Dr. Smith squirmed under the woman's gaze. Oh what a situation. "Yes, well. Er... Uh... We're not sure. The Templars have... attempted to rid the world of scrolls but as Nara's the first to be unsealed I have no idea if their religous beliefs will permit them to harm children. Certainly I thought it went against the Bible to kidnap someone but then again they are a fanatic group. Strange because most of the rest of Christinaity is so nice. All it takes is a couple of weirdo's to give a bad name though. I still don't understand why they hate the scrolls so. What's a piece of paper going to do?" The man babbled on uneasily, rambling about this or that piece of nonsense.

On the shelf behind him lay a shiney piece of paper. The light hit it just right, reflecting it into Aya's eyes.

Silent the man ignored the irritable woman. The tug led on and on...Then stopped at a book. Thin gold lettering on the side proclaimed it to be.. "450 Ways to Eat Fish". An odd book to be in the collection but then it did look like a first edition print from several decades ago.

The tug on Aurora was steady and actully pulling towards the opposite direction of the group. It led along the book case towards a scroll entitled "In het hout".

Guinevere couldn’t argue with the man’s assumption, firmly of the belief that it only took the actions of a few to leave a permanent taint upon something, but his lack of definitive answers in regards to her daughter’s safety failed to ease the naga’s mounting concerns. She had to also concede with Dr. Smith’s statement that scrolls and children would prove little threat against grown men, however that once more failed to explain whether the Templars were fanatical enough to target the scroll children along with Nara. “If you has to make an assssumption in regardssss to the Templarssss, do you believe they will target the children alsssso?” Guinevere asked, having resigned herself to the fact that an educated guess was about as the close she would get to an answer.

Reaching toward the shiny object, appearing to care little about the light it cast into her eyes, Aya whined and struggled frantically - wanting to attain at least one of the objects that had captured her attention within the Musaeum. Finally Guinevere conceded to her daughter’s demands and set the infant upon the ground. More then a little pleased with herself Aya grinned, moving with shaky steps behind Dr. Smith until she stood beneath the reflective paper. When standing upon the tips of her toes failed to attain the shiny, Aya offered a firm tug on the leg of Dr. Smith’s pants and pointed toward where the trinket rested.

- - - - - - -

Unquestionably Cyn continued to follow the pull, sparing little thought for the unseen forces that were directing her path. Finally the sensation ceased, leaving the woman scowling in front of a shelf brimming with books. For the most part they all appeared the same, however a spin engraved with thin gold lettering caught her attention. Shifting the scroll until it was held beneath her arm, Cyn removed the odd tome from the shelf. “Four hundred and fifty ways to eat fish…?” she murmured under her breath, running her fingers over the worn cover before prying open the pages.

Aurora noticed that no one was noticing her exclaime about the odd tug but it had yet to stop. She decided to fallow it. Walking fallowing the pull She noticed that she was moveing away from every one. Though all they were talking about Aurora did not understand.

Getting to a specific book case Aurora noticed there were no books there but a Scroll the titel on it was hard for her to Translate from were she stood so she carfuly pulled it out and read the tital over.

Almost as soon as the two picked up their seperate books, the tugs began again. Neither books seemed to have anything of interest in them at all. Aurora found herself drawn to, "Mendellian Genetik", "Evolución; La Trayectoria Humana", "Revelations", "A Dios", "Into The Woods", "Salvador Dali", "Love; The Chemical Analysis", "A Voyage of Columbus", "Next Door", and "Deux ex Machina", in quick succession, the tug continuing on to the next book nearly as soon as the woman had picked up the next book.

Cyn on the other hand was dragged to "50 Travel Locations", "5", "Lectio Divina", "Atlas of the World" "Theodor" "90210" "450 More Ways to Cook Fish" "101 Origami Folds", "0; The Origin", "Lilith", "Orion's Belt; An Astronomer's Guide", and "Neverwhere".

Sweating nervously, Dr. Smith fumbled out a hankie and blotted at his glistening bald spot. "Er, Well... " Fortunately a tug on his pants distracted the poor fellow. Turning to where Aya pointed the man pulled the paper off the shelf. Written in a shiney metallic ink was the follow.

Letter
As per our agreement the shields and security system on the Royal Library will be shut down on the 12th from Noon to One. Have the second half of my payment ready.

-Lorin

With a wordless shout the old man threw the paper down on the floor. "That... that.. spineless moneygrubbing idiotic .... person! Iain! The mage sold us out. All to kidnap Nara!" He cried turning towards Mr. Mysterious. The man crossed to the pair with quick steps. Towering silently over Dr. Smith he simply stood there, fury radiating off his body language.
