"Quite a bit," Viveka muttered. It was obvious she didn't care much for any fight her Zoid put up, yet there was no denying that the stiff controls made it more difficult to pilot at times. Shaking her head lightly, she glanced away from the Raptor and towards what she thought was the direction of town. If she'd thought squinting would help, she would've done that, too.
"About fifteen miles," she remembered idly, looking back to the fire and sighing. "Yeah, that's probably it, maybe a little more, but not much." At least, she didn't remember traveling much further than that. Then again, she didn't always pay attention. Ah well, fifteen was a good enough estimate.

Huddling a little closer to the flames, Hawk glanced over where Viveka said town was. Fifteen miles wasn't that bad at all. He considered his options for a moment, then looked up at the cockpit of his Redler once more. If he had to walk with it, then he supposed he had to walk with it.
"I don't know about you, but I'm kinda getting sick of his this weather... You wanna try and get through this weather at all? If you can lead me to town, I'll be sure to repay you somehow."

Staring into the flames, Viveka pondered. There really was no reason to say no. Even she, at least at this point, wasn't cold enough to leave someone stranded in the middle of no where without any sort of direction. Nodding fainly, she moved to push herself up from the ground. Feeling began to return to her slightly numb legs at the movement. "Just follow me. I'll see what I can do." Wandering over to the Raptor, she stared up until the Zoid finally lowered its head to her and the cockpit hatch hissed open with little effort. She jumped in quickly, closing the cockpit before too much water found its way into the controls. Raising the Zoid back to full height, she pushed it a few steps before stopping to wait for Hawk. It seemed the Raptor would behave, at least for now.

Nodding, Hawk stood up and grabbed his pack. He then walked out and waited for his zoid to lower its head before hopping into the cockpit. As he sat in the pilot seat, he shivered slightly while grabbing a hold onto the controls. Once the Redler was standing at its full height once more, he glanced over at Viveka and nodded again.
With a low growl, the redler obeyed his comand and walked towards the Rev Raptor. Marendithas could have sworn he heard something funny as the zoid moved, but it was hard to tell with all the rain pounding down onto it.
"All set. Lead the way."

"All right..." But for the longest time, she merely glared into the rain, hoping it would clear so she could see better. Zoids needed windshield wipers, or something. Mumbling under her breath, she finally gave up and almost prayed for good intuition. Pushing the controls forward earned a hiss from the Raptor, but Viveka merely smirked in responce. They were headed for town and the moody dino had no say in the matter.
Pushing further sent the Zoid sloshing through a rather large mud puddle, spraying its armor. It let out another irritated growl, but it was paid no heed. Instead, the pilot continued to squint out into the weather, her footing nothing but a guess as she ambled along. Well, at least the grounded flight-type would be able to keep up this way. She could barely get the Raptor to make good speed.

It was a good thing the raptor couldn't move too quickly in the dense rain, for the Redler was moving quite slowly as well. The heavy downpour, combined with the limitations the zoid had on the ground just didn't make for a very good combination in terms of traveling speed.
As Hawk stared out into the area ahead of them, he could see that the storm clouds appeared to be a little lighter further ahead to where the area the town was in. So at least there was some hope that the rain would ease up on them as they approached their destination.
"You holding up alright over there?" he asked, wanting to make sure that everything was ok with the other pilot and zoid.

"Fine," Viveka mumbled, any trace of the smirk fading from her lips as she answered. It wasn't as if she couldn't take care of herself. Or maybe she was putting too much thought into his words. Never before had she been so thoughtful. Must've been all the people she met along the way. She'd never been a social person. Damn all these people for getting to her.
Slowing a bit, she leaned back in her seat. "Looks like the town's just up ahead." Luckily enough, just as Hawk had seen, the sky over the town was lighter. The rain didn't fall as heavily. Rather, it was more of a gentle shower that mothers didn't mind their children playing in. How foolish they would look ambling into town, drenched and dirty. Well, whatever. Not like she cared, once again.
