"If we were 'brothers' just by having stripes, my family would be much too large to actually have me consider anyone in it a 'brother' or a 'sister'," said Maverick as he ran. With that, Maverick began to run faster, running far ahead of Zahariah.

Zahariah laughs as he runs just right behind Maverick. "That is very true! At least we are not alone in this big old world" He says while his legs pratically disappears in the snow so he began to do high leaps so he could run without wearing himself out.

"Yeah, whatever," said Maverick, not really caring too much. "The world is a big place. A very big place indeed."
Maverick continued running through the snow, feeling the slippery cold ground beneath his hooves. Slowing down, Maverick ran at a more comfortable pace so he would not slip.

Zahariah is falling behind because his stamia is wearing out, but his stubbornness won't let him give up so he breathes heavily while running behind Maverick. "We are just a speck of something on the world." He says breathlessly as he stops running when they nears the woodline. He pants heavily, the mist escaping his nose and mouth when he exhaled or panted. "You are faster than me... but I am not surprised" He grins lightly at the slightly bigger stallion.

"Need a break?" asked Maverick, turning his head to Zahariah slightly with a wide and proud grin. Maverick knew he was fast, he spent a lot of time running, going for an early morning run each day to keep his legs strong and in shape in case of an emergency where he would need to run desperately.
"'cause if you do...too bad! No breaks in race, Zahariah!" said Maverick, trotting now even faster with a laugh.

Zahariah raises his eyebrow at Maverick before he laughs, shaking his head when he walks few feet to regain his strength and stamina back then he slowly start to pick up the pace. "Nah.. I don't need a break!!" He exclaims as he suddenly explodes into gallop, quickly catching up to Maverick. "We will see next time we meet again!" He silently vows to train himself, to run everyday so he could build up his strength, speed and stamina.

"Leaving so soon, Zahariah?" asked Maverick with a light laugh and a cheerful smile as he ran. Maverick then slowed down, feeling the warmth of the volcano. "We're almost there, my friend. Just wait until we arrive, then we can settle down."

The silver tiger rolls his eyes at Maverick's comment before he chuckles, slowing dowm from a full gallop to canter so he could keep up with the older and obiviously faster zorse. He could feel the heat radiating from the volcano as he smiles. "Almost there..." He half mutters to himself, he ever so desperately need to rest his protesting legs but he tests his endurance by pushing himself to contiune to run with Maverick. "Ahh.. that warmth is blissful.. I can't wait to be close to the volcano.. thats the statement you will not hear from me in a normal situation." He laughs.

Maverick gave a smile as he felt the heat from the volcano's crater warm up his previously chilled body. He took a pause to allow himself to thaw, a feeling Maverick never thought he would really have to experience. Maverick turned his head around to Zahariah.
"Should we keep moving closer towards the warmth or is here good enough?" said Maverick, unsure. Up ahead was a large gathering of Soquili of a variety of colors...so...unnatural. Maverick shuddered at the thought.

Zahariah turns his head toward a huge gathering of soquilis before he could see Maverick's shudder. "I think there is a hot spring around near right here..." He moves toward a very small not-well travelled pathway that will lead them to the hot spring. "Nobody really knows about this spring or it will be occupied right away." He says in wry voice as he stops short ahead of Maverick and turns his head toward a zorse stallion. "Coming?"

"A hot spring? As in...water?" asked Maverick. Maverick shuddered. Water wasn't one of his favorite things, especially when the weather is cold. Whether the water is hot or cold, the weather will be cold when he gets out and would feel even colder as the water starts to freeze on his body.
"Not sure if I feel like going in the water," said Maverick, uncomfortable with the idea. "But you can go on in if you would like."

Zahariah arches his eyebrow before he just merely shrugs at Maverick. "You don't have to get in the water. There is steam that could keep you warm for who knows how long you will be staying.." He comments as he shrugs, walking toward the hot spring. He could see the welcoming steam rising from the ground and a grin spreads on his face, he quickens his pace to ground-slapping trot.

Maverick followed after Zahariah, lazily. When he arrived at the spring, he felt the steam warm up his body, a nice sensation in the cold weather. Maverick liked the feeling, but didn't admit that to Zahariah. Instead, he just gave a slight smile.
"Have you been coming to this spring a lot this winter?" asked Maverick, curious. He had never really noticed the hot springs before. Then again, he doesn't venture too far off from his home often.

Zahariah slants his eyes toward Maverick and bobs his head when he finally jumps in the hot spring with an exclamation of pleasure. He sighs as his body visibly shuddered and he allows himself to sink to the bottom with only head visible above the steaming water. "Yeah.. I do try to come here every year whenever the first frost make itself known."

"Ah, I see," said Maverick with a grin. "Well, I think I should head home shortly, get ready for a nice long rest. It's what I prefer to do in the cold, just sleep it out as opposed to wandering around in it."
Maverick winked at Zahariah and gently dipped one hoof into the spring to feel the warmth. Maverick smiled, it was comforting, but he shouldn't let the distractions prevent him from his journey home. If he didn't start moving soon, it'd be too dark and too cold to wander around.
