AlmsiviConner Heh. I got mine on launch day. Didn't camp over the weekend either. I didn't reserve mine so I was worried, but after my stop at one gamestop, I found out that all the extra units were being transfered to one mall. Well horrah horrah! They had hundreds, and I managed to get mine within 4 hours of getting to that mall.

I preordered my Wii, so I got one pretty easily, although not with the carry case even though our store said they'd confirmed cases for the preorders. evil I think they were selling them with people who purchased them that day.
I'm not sure Australia even HAS the PS3 yet, but I'm keeping an eye out for it. I want one.
By the by, can anyone tell me why Australia has to get games 3 to 6 months AFTER America does? I want to play FFXII crying

Albino_Penguin_333 Brascus I heard two stories. One, someone on the east coast got shot over one. And two, there was a store that set up 10 lawn chairs and said, "The first ten people in the chairs get PS3s. Someone was hospitalized for having their head smashed into a telephone pole.
Man, who would actually shoot someone over a game? Or smash their head into a tellephone pole?he actually shot him for his money. the dude was waiting in line like everyone else there and some guy walked up to him and just plain shot him, took his money, and tried to run. it was really sad. people are lame. just wait...there will be enough eventually for everyone to have one...plus there are so many bugs right now, who would want one so bad they'd commit murder for one? scream

alright, now I know that you people may find this hard to beleve but the folowing story is true.
I was talking to my friend about our holiday hauls, I made out fairly well with a new laptop and several thousand new games and I was thinking I had the best christmass on record... no... my friend says " I got a Wii!..." and I was like "NO WAY!!!" and she was all " yup. and a PS3! SANTA IS MAGIC!" So there I was buggin out thinking she must be hard pressed to even be talking to me and not go play those awsum systums right? NO SHE SAID SHE WAS BOARD WITH BOTH SYSTUMS!!! not one but TWO of the most awsum gameing systums since the origonal nintendo and she is board! And then she complained about how she only had one game for each with only one controler for each! WTF!? IS SHE CRAZY?! I would kill to have her kind of luck!
yeah... just had to get that out gonk stare crying

yeah usually the game systems that come out first have a lot of things wrong with them for example older xbox 360s have to have a special fan installed to keep from overheating so i would definately wait good call to not buy one right now heh mrgreen

Ugh, I live in the boonies man. I had to wait from 3am to 10am until a freakin' Best Buy would let me in to get one. This was well after the holidays even. There were only 17 Wii systems available. When I got there I was 18th in line. Thankfully, I knew people who had been there since 10pm the previous night. >.>
Wii= Jebus in a small white box.
The ps3 though... I'm not much of a sony girl. It's better than the microsoft pieces of crap, but I am convinced that the ps3 is just a glorified ps2. There's really nothing "new" about it. If you're looking for quality and innovation, it's the wii all the way. As a side note, it doesn't cost what your liver and a lung might go for on e-bay.

My boyfriend got a Wii, so I mooch off him. I'm a Sony girl, but my PS2 still treats me right, especially since I just got DDR Supernova for my birthday. I'm in no rush to get the PS3.
