School elections are retarded. stare I can't stand pretty much my whole class. They all have their heads up their butts and think their s**t don't stink. Well I have new for those little assholes. They suck and they all should be shot in the knee caps! scream

Edit: Why would you guys want a popular person to be a GM if you knew their writing was going to suck? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of having a fun game? And, again Meo connects this to teh school elections. Anything, no matter what, can always end as a popularity contest. gonk Which is quite sad that people cannot vote for whom is best, but for whom they know.
That is why I rarely vote for something like school elections seriously. I close my eyes, and move my finger over the names, and pick one. xD Though that might defeat the entire purpose of being all "Popularity contests are bad", at least I'm not intendng On voting on who's popular, because if I pick that name randomly, I didn't decide upon it... I just picked. xD I really don't get why in school we really need a school counsil. We can represent ourselves, every grade is a diverse group of people.

Takazawa system malfunction  As Belle said, most of the VC are the /center/ of that group (no offense to you guys, it just means you're cool rofl )
I'd love to go back to anonymous entries, so that the actual writing is judged rather than the writing Dear god I love your avi. It's what I wanted an avatar I made and wore for years to look like. And that will work as long as thewre's no PMing like there was last time. I don't know how we could prevent the in crowd just PMing eachother and telling them who's who. Thanks. : D <3
The only reason I made it is because I wanted an avi to go with my new Mars Volta cd rofl
And though that is a pretty big problem, I'm sure thaere are enough players that care about the game enough to want a capable GM :3

Toastie believes anonymous voting would work best. Sure, a few of the regulars might PM or tell each other which is theirs, but it'll cut out the people who just vote for names that they recognize, or people they like who would normally not know whose entry was whose. 3nodding

Maybe something like you can PM the suggestion box your entry, so it doesnt flood my inbox, and the VC's will take all the apps. mix them up and put them in a thread. You will vote WITHOT a poll. And we will tally then either winner of that, or we pick a number of the highest votes and do it again then we have Gm?

That sounds good whee I think we should take the app with the highest vote and make them gm, unless there is only one or two votes difference between the two highest. Then we can take those apps and have everyone vote on them.

Takazawa As we all know(Don't deny it), there is a core group of popular, famous (Or infamous) tight friends, most of whom are from game one or two. This in crowd is so in, they almost play their game on an entirely separate level, while the rest of the users usually just follow the trends. This group is tightly knit, and will usually only vote for someone in this group. If you look, we've never had a GM that wasn't in said group. I must object to this, Takazawa. We have had a GM that wasn't in said group, and that GM was me. xD I'd never really talked to Meru before this game, and I didn't join until game 7. Mhmm.' Besides that, anonymous is good.

I like anonymous.
But can we have a rule where you can only enter the GM competition if you've been active in at least one game?
I dunno if I'm the only one who thinks this, but I would think we'd want a GM who has actually PLAYED and been somewhat active rather than a brand new person who has never played but is a good writer. ^^;

Someone who hasn't played before would definately be better off playing at LEAST one active game before trying to GM.

I've never actually voted...because I knew I couldn't give an unbias opinion, because I never read all the apps. Not once.

I've never actually voted...because I knew I couldn't give an unbias opinion, because I never read all the apps. Not once. xd Ditto. The only updates I've ever read were Zae's, and then the ones I've been in. I'm too lazy to read the updates. And since I dont read the updates I just vote my friends for gm. I dont care about the writing. Which isnt fair to those who do care. Which is way anonymous voting is good because I have to either read all the apps or not vote at all.
I agree with them having to have been active through one game to be gm.
