I think it foreshadows NaruHina, but differently than you think so.
Just because he marries the Hyuuga heiress doesn't make him clan head, just like in royalty; you can't become ruler by marrying a princess. Anyway, I think it foreshadows NaruHina because it seems like Neji will become clan leader instead of Hinata. So what will happen to Hinata so that her family acknowledges her like she wants them to? Marry the Hokage (Naruto) instead. It makes sense to me.

Hehe, that was a foreshadow in my opinion. Being with Hinata would DEFINATELY make it easier for Naruto to change the Hyuuga. wink

oooo wow good eye, that could be a good way of foreshadowing such an event as that. Sadly the only way we will be able to find out for sure is by reading the manga/anime

Well when is fighting Neji he also defends her. Because Neji eas all like, Poor me, im the victim. But Naruto was like Hinatas been in as much pain as you, She tries just as hard. He got all angry when Neji was fighting with her and he was making fun of her. Plus after he kicked Nejis butt( YESS!!!) the first thing he said was( direct from book)," I wonder where Hinata is... Did she come to watch us like I told her?" I think without a doubt Naruto likes her at the moment, but i dont think he's comsidering marring her, YET..

xd You know, I don't think Naruto ever found out that Hinata never saw the ending to his fight. sad

lol.... I think that the point is that Naruto is too clueless to have conciously fallen in love with Hinata yet. He has the potential to...but he is still a kid.
So foreshadowing is the only solution because I know that it HAS to hapeen eventually.

I thin Hinata passed out for two reasons; one, like you guys said, she can't know about Kyuubi yet, and two; she would have fainted from embarrassment anyway. Also, Naruto still needed to like Sakura for their whole brother/ sister relationship to grow in the Sasuke retrieval arc.

right i agree. It would make sense if Naruto were to marry Hinata to help change the Hyuuga. I doubt that even the Hokage can decide how then diffrent clans could be run. The political system seems to be balanced between the Hokage and the Council. I personally seeing the Hokage as more along the lines as a military leader. That said it would require some direct connection to the Hyuuga clan. With the backing of the Hokage ((assuming Naruto at this time)) it would definatly give Hinata the power to end to the curse seal. And besides whos the only Hyuuga who has had the most interaction with Naruto? Hinata. So it would make sense that any changes to the clan would be done though some type of joint effort between the two of them. Most likey done after a union between the two. I think this would be even more likely if Hinata is replaced as heir. According to what happened to Hizashi, then the proper Hyuuga protocol would be to place the seal on Hinata. Who in the right mind would try to put a curse seal on the Hokage's wife though?

I think it might foreshadow what Neji will do in the future more then if Hinata will marry Naruto. Neji will most likely will fix all of the problems. He understands how a caged bird feels and because he was from a lower branch in the family to begin with, he has a far better chance of changing his clan then Naruto does. I don't think Naruto has the power to do the changes he eants to even if he becomes hokage and marries Hinata, because he wasn't from the clan to begin with. Neji will probably end up becoming clan leader because he's really close with Hinata's dad (Not really...) and if Hinata were to marry someone other than Naruto i think she would not be able to survive seeing Naruto.

Although that can happen, and I thought of that myself, I think he ment he wouldn't allow the hyuuga practices, probably through outlawing it
(I don't know if hokages can make laws, the 4th wouldn't allow talk of the nine tails)
