Ra looked down at her and squeezed her shoulder.
"O.k, I didn't want to do this but I am afraid you are going to have to tell me what is wrong." He said making a detour to one of the brighter, larger temple gardens in the town. "And that is a doctors order ... well, future doctors order." He smiled and led her over to sit by one of the waterfalls. "I can't stand seeing you upset like this Is. Are you and Giani o.k? Your father?"

Israel sat down without any fuss and dug out her handkerchief. She knew she was going to need it. Sitting cross legged, she turned to face him but stared down at her lap as she toyed with the soft hankie.
"Yeah... everything with my father is fine. And... Giani and I are fine too, but..." she trailed off as the lump in her throat suddenly thickened and she pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapping her arms around them. She stared down into the falling water as she recomposed herself and took a deep breath, managing a small smile as she looked at him.
"You're going to think such horrible thoughts about me," she smirked a little and ran a hand through her hair. "A couple of weeks ago... I found out I was pregnant. Like... honest to god pregnant. And... I did the only thing I could do. We weren't ready for a baby, but now..." she trailed off as the tears started to roll down her cheeks. "Now I just can't get past this. I've tried so hard to move on, but I just... I can't," she sniffed and reached up to wipe her eyes.

Ra shifted towards her and slipped his arm around her shoulder as he listened to her speak.
"Oh, Is, of course you can." He said brushing a hand over her hair. "I know it might seem like it now but you have to believe you can. I..." He paused and looked out over the waterfall in front of them. A friend of mine, a couple of years ago. She thought she was pregnant, she um went through a lot. It turned out that she wasn't and I know you're going to say that that makes this not relevant, but she probably would have done the same as you and I know she would have got through it. I also know you are stronger than her. So I know you can get past this." He said as he held her, "It will all be fine and you're going to move on. Remember, what you did was for the best."

Israel shifted to bury her face into his shoulder as she listened to him and tried her best to keep from breaking down completely. He was right. She would get through this and she needed to remember that it -was- for the best. Even Giani kept telling her as much.
"I know... I just... I feel so guilty and I know I shouldn't, but I can't help it. I'm sorry... I'm trying really hard to be myself. I really am," she sniffed and pulled away to wipe her eyes. "I didn't want to dump all this on you."

Ra hugged her tightly and shook his head.
"No apologies, I dump on you, you dump on me it's the circle of friendship. What makes the world go round." He sighed and smiled. "Just give yourself time and stop trying to push yourself. You will get ovet it when you are ready and until then you have Giani and I to keep you in one piece." He smiled and squeezed hr again before letting her go. "Now, are you going to let me buy you food?"

Is swallowed and nodded her head as she hugged him back. She actually felt a little better having told him. He was a really good friend and it meant a lot to her that he was willing to be here for her when Giani was unable. Smiling a little, she dried her eyes and sniffed softly.
"Yeah. I suppose I could let you do that," she said, folding her handkerchief and slipping it back into her pocket. "Thank you Ra. I hate feeling so needy, but it really means a lot to have you as a friend," she smiled lightly as she stood once more.

"Again." He said offering a hand to help her up. "It's called payback. Terrible punishment for how difficult I was to you all those times." He smiled and shoved his hands into his pockets as they walked out of the garden and towards the restaurant. "How's school going? When am I going to get to see your first exhibition?"

"Um, it's okay. I'm having a bit of a time catching up, but most of my professors are being fairly lenient, thanks to Aya and Kyo," she said, slipping her arm through his once more. "My first exhibition won't be till the week before the Christmas holidays. It's part of my final. You'll really come?" she asked, looking up at him.

"Of course I'll come." He said, holding the door open for her. "What type of pictures are you going to exhibit? I'll bring Obie along too get her away from the books for a bit." He smirked and grabbed a booth by the window, flopping down and grabbing the menu. "Maybe you could slip my picture into your portfolio and see if you get any interest."

She couldn't help but laugh at that.
"I jut might have to do that," she smirked. "I can't deny my best friend the opportunity of a lifetime. Um... as for what I'll be featuring a bit of everything that I've been working on. Still lifes, models and even a couple of abstracts. I've been thinking of putting a couple of my portraits of my friends in as well, but I'm not sure about that," she smiled and reached out to trace her finger along the edge of her glass of water that the waitress brought over.

Ra looked at her and nodded.
"Oooh even better, maybe someone will see my portrait and I'll get a modeling contract." He said with a grin as he watched her trace her finger over the glass. "Ooor someone will see Giani's painting and I'll get a move contract." He gave her a wink and started placed an order for them both as he smirked.

Israel looked up at him and smiled. He was being so silly, something she never in a million years would have associated with him just one year earlier.
"Maybe Ra. You never know in the crazy art world," she smirked a little. "How is school coming for you?" she asked.

"Are you saying my body isn't porn worthy?" he smirked, taking a sip of water and rolling his eyes at the mention of school. "Don't, just don't." he smirked as he shifted back in his seat. "It's tough, stressful and at times makes me want to tear my hair out. So normal really. I can't wait until I'm out of the pre-med and actually get to start getting my hands dirty."

Israel smirked and looked back up at him.
"I would answer that honestly, but I don't think either of our significant others would appreciate it," she teased and took a sip of water. At his mention of getting his hands dirty, she pulled a face at the thought.
"Good luck with that. You're made of stronger stuff than I. That's for sure," she said as she set her glass down. "How are things between you and Obie? Good I would assume, but you never know," she smiled. It was the first time she had smiled so much since she had left Giani's apartment.

Ra smirked and looked up to the waitress as she brought their food over. He watched her pull a face and laughed.
"You make it sound like I'm going to be a butcher or somenthing. I meant just getting more hands on, actually getting to meet people and help them. I know I have to learn all the basics first, but it is so boring." He smiled at her question and nodded.
"Great." He said with a broad smile. "I mean we've both been busy lately, but that just makes the time we do get to spend together all the better." He smiled and took a slice of pizza. "It's good to see that smile again."
