"How'd they get our com-link channel?" Shadow shrugged. "It was a private..." Thinking for a moment, it started to become clear. "Seperating us from the main forces, telling us to engage, these invaders having our private channel numbers; it's all a ******** set up!"
"Well," Raven spoke on channel from her mech. "we have no choice then."
"Still, I don't like this."
"Neither do I." Looking to his moniter, Shadow spoke in a clear voice. "This is Shadow; my unit and I have no ties to the country anymore, but I can't stand by and watch innocents fall from a curropt leader. We shall escort you back to the capital, discussions can be held there; over."

A few moments of travel passed and Shlag's head based radar picked up several radar pings. "Glad I chose this head for my mech. Really good radar interference countermeasures." She tapped a finger on her digital map screen. A red dot appeared on it, as it did on all the other mechs in her squad. "Me and Chimera will attack through the middle. Zealot will hit them from behind. Pin Point, take the ridge. No point in using the stealth emitters. Drop them for added speed." Just as she said it their mission stealth field generators dropped from their Mech's shoulders. Pin Point zoomed in on his sniper rifles. The enemies were in view of him at less than a kilometer out. The other three mechs could clear that in less than a minute. "Ma'am looks like 10 enemy mechs. 4 Magnos, 6 Meconis. I can target them from here." "Got it. All forces Hammer and Anvil assault tactic. Go." With that, Zealot, Predator and Chimera sped off skimming the ground to prevent energy loss.

Hallas appeared back on the com window of Shadow's cockpit "You made a wise decision, bullfrog, we shall assist you in protecting the people of the capitol. My units will provide you with cover, quickly, head into the city, we will follow behind once we are clear" Her window disappeared, and she popped up to all of her units "Claws, we hold fast, cover the Meconis pilots, they have agreed to our terms. Do not allow the Torasian mechs to run amok, we stick to the plan!" The Claws switched their formation, dispersing quickly into Far Out formation. Lamia stood firm, blocking the progress of the enemy. She knew that they had the upper hand as far as munitions was concerned, but her Claws had the speed advantage, and the enemy knew it, as was noted by the fact that they dropped off their stealth emitters. But, even with that, there would still be a considerable difference in the agility of the enemy in comparison to the Claws.
Geryon stood at the western end of the Capitol, the Golem units forming a nicely-placed wall of sorts. Daos spoke to his sqaudron "Alright, Slab Formation is complete, we reamain here until enemy mechs are sighted. Everyone, keep your eyes peeled"

Zealot turned on his over boost. A loud boom rocked the area as his mech surpassed the sound barrier. His mech by far was the fastest and most agile in close quarters combat. A quick boost to get him out of the way of nearly any attack at 400KM/H. All MLHAVs had them. Just not all as powerful. These special designs kept even the slowest bipedal design on par with a Claw in the maneuverability section. The rest was the skill of the pilot. Chimera switched to his back mounted grenade launchers about 200 meters out and fired a volley of high powered explosive rocket propelled grenades at the ground between the enemy Claws. the explosions rivaled that or an Hyper laser blast. Those being capable of leveling a medium sized concrete house and causing serious structural harm to the other structures close by made them no laughing matter. The splash damage would easily make way for Zealot to come in and cut the claws to shreds. Pin Point opened up with his Sniper Cannon firing at the lead claw. Even at a kilometer away it would still hit the Claw before the grenades. Shlag gained a lock at 190 kilometers with her laser rifles. She peeled off to the side and fired out a quick burst of two shots from each her laser rifles. While Zealot was now moving in from behind the Claws and meconian mechs to act as the 'anvil' to the 'hammer', fire, of his squad mates.

"Too easy!" Hallas was in full crontrol as Lamia leaped into the air, the tail unit flipping forward, firing an intensely charged blast, destroying the RPGs before dissipating. The tail cannon was quite useful for stopping most enemy projectiles, and though it would not last long against more heavily armed cannons, it was fast enough to keep her off the losing side. The other three Claws went after the mechs, while Lamia swiftly closed the distance between itself and Zealot, using a spiraling zigzag maneuver. The horn unit glowed brightly as she reached Zealot, preparing for the strike. Hallas was ready for the countermeasure, and had anticipated it; she had done well by paying attention during all of her briefings, cseminars, and such on Torasian mechs, their capabilities, and tactics, and she was prepared to add another victory to her name.

Zealot locked his right Moonlight laser blade with the horn much like an Uechi Ryu circular block. The force of the block threw Lamia's mech off balance as Zealot attempted to drive the left Moonlight home, the Magnos' cockpit. "Typical. Any melee pilot would know how to counter that."
The shells exploding in a massively volatile way. Two huge explosions ripped between the mechs the explosion raised higher than a three story building. Both Chimera and Predator shot off in opposite directions. His Grenade launchers fired another couple shots the on coming mechs. Predators arm based computers rapidly adapted the the on coming claws speed and maneuverability, she continued to fire her laser rifles. Each shot presicly leading the Claw she was firing at. The lasers couldn't even be blocked by the Primal Shielding each MLHAV. Pin point over boosted closer and fired two more rounds at Lamia's mech.

"Don't think it'll be that easy; gang, binder formation." Shadow got within fire range to give Lamia some support, firing off from his shot guns.
Raven got he mech down to one knee; focusing on her target, she fired two shots at the Zealots arms.
Brass and Borskey stuck by Raven, both firing off their Thrush Missles.
Jinzo hung back, keeping her machine gun at the ready, waiting for the right moment to jump in and repair Lamias mech.

Echidna and Medusa were hit by the onslaught, and were knocked into the hills. Naga managed to dodge in the nick of time, but was grazed hard to the right shoulder part. The mech sent a large blast from the cannons tot he sides, which burst into multiple shots shortly after release.
Hallas was ready. Lamia reared back and fired the tail cannon at point blank range. At this distance, Zealot would suffer heavy damages to the midsection, as the cannon was powerful enough to breach the enemy's shielding. Just as the blast was fired, the two back legs sprung out, landing hard kicks to the arms of the enemy mech as it bounded backward a few hundred feet. Hallas quickly set to work, pulling Lamia back out of the range of of the oonlight Blades, falling back next to to Jinzo's mech. Echidna joined on the other side of Lamia a second later, and immediately fired rounds from it's two burst cannons directly at Predator

Zealot fired his back boosters, successfully dodging the rifle shots and missiles, which exploded just were his mech had been standing. He didn't turn on his core's anti-missile laser defense system since that would lower the amount of energy he had. Pin Point fired two shots from his arm sniper rifles at the enemy sniper.

Raven wasn't able to react, and caught full blast of the shot. Jinzo ran up to her, and fired out her healing charges; the repairing nanomachines doing their work.
"Let's pin this ******** down!" Shadow called out to the groups EMP trooper. Running up to the Zelot, he fired an EMP charge, trying to disable the units movement.

At the same time, Naga rushed Zealot, it's horn locking with the opponent's blades, as Medusa and Echidna rushed it from two more directions, putting the mech in a 4-way pincer. Lamia dove from over Shadow, the tail cannon firing at Zealot, aiming at the back boosters. Lamia landed less than 60 feet from Zealot, and rushed the mech from in between the EMP Tropper and Medusa

Zealot's head's electronic counter measures protected his mech from the EMP blast. His main boosters fired shooting his mech into the air. He dodged the fire and hit his over boosters. He blasted out of the fray at high speed. He cut his over boost and hit his forward left shoulder boosters spinning him around. He kicked on his main boosters to slow his descent.
Shlag tapped a button on her map. And pressed on the general vicinity of congregation of enemy forces. Several loud beeps sounded in her cockpit. "All troops fall back." She spun using the same maneuver Zealot used just as her fellow comrades did. They all fired their over boosters to evacuate the immediate area. "Called in orbital fire and air support. Also called in a supply drop back at the LZ."
In orbit a Fire Dragon Assault Frigate turned and fired it's plasma cannons twice at the spot indicated by Shlag. A squadron of orbital bombers diverted from their patrol and descended into the battle zone.

A volley of no less than 140 motion-lock migh-powered plasma-burst missiles came from behind the hills to the north west, followed by Talos and Minotaur
Daos appeared on a Com window "Sorry, tater tot, but you were taking so long, I was beginning to worry!"
Hallas grunted irritably "Tut! Shut the hell up Bullfrog! I never asked for backup, what about the west end, you are suppose to be keeping up your defenses!"
"Awww, don't worry, the Pummel Squadron showed up, Gryphon, Manticore, and Sphinx are on their way over to your side, it seems that all of the Torasian forces are focused on your side of the battlefield." The window clicked out, and Hallas grunted again, focusing on her task. She fell back next to Naga and Medusa, and Echidna took position next to Talos and Minotaur
Hallas appeared in a Com window to Raven "Having fun, Bullfrog? Please tell me you are not giving up, because then, you'd be a totally uncool loser! I don't respect losers!"

"All units halt." Everyone but Shlag stopped. Since she was the only still moving they all locked on to her. She used her special boosters to turn into the missiles and fired her main boosters. She open fired with her laser rifles destroying enough missiles to squeeze through a gap in them she fired her over boost. Attempting to adjust to the new position of the target the missiles tried to adjust their course. Most crashed into the ground and exploding just as she past them. She pulled off to the left and fired her laser rifles into the midst the remaining missiles. She pulled the same maneuver again, destroying the remaining missiles. She rejoined her squad and they pulled out of the combat area. Just as the plasma rounds exploded at their target zone.
The bombers broke through the atmosphere. Their rocket bays slid opened as they targeted the Magnos. The squadron's bomber's gunners fired their payload of anti capital ship shield piercing rockets directly into the midst of the enemy mechs. They pulled up and moved to get back into orbit to reload their weapons.
