Val couldn't ignore the slow, painful movements of the gypsy- and although she could have cast her eyes away, to the beautifully decorated wagon, or to some point beyond, fixing her eyes into space... she didn't allow herself to be free of the uncomfortable sight. She was still taking responsibility for what had happened, and by making herself stare it straight in the face was part of what she deserved- to face it.
"Thank you," the caravan head said, making her way into Weathered Melody and sitting, easing the weight on her troubled frame. "There is much to discuss..." and her eyes shot to the young one, peering out from under the bed with hateful eyes. She sighed, a sad look crossing the gypsy's face, and she looked back up at the child's mother.
"Silver... I know you well enough to know that you wouldn't want me to apologize for what had happened. But you should know that it was... one of the most horrible things I've ever done. I know exactly how you feel.." she indicated to the crutch she'd lain across her lap, "and I wish you weren't experiencing it. ..What we need to talk about though.. is Ais. She's not harmed from what happened... so I don't want you to worry. But there are some more serious repurcussions of that night."

Silver shut the door behind Valelldia and went back to the bed, moving her flute to its place on the shelf and easing herself back onto the soft matress. "Oh Val... I know you didn't mean to. You couldn't possibly have done it on purpose, I don't doubt that... but you're right. Aisrhan has been acting strange lately. Especially about you... " Aisrhan was coiled under the bed, glaring at Val. A low, menacing hiss could be heard, as if to prove Silver's point. "Aisrhan, stop that. Now." Silver tapped the base boards of the bed with her heel and Ais stopped. "I'm sorry Val." Silver sighed, her face creased with worry.

She eased herself in her sitting position, still sore... and sighed. "Yes.. I really expected that. What you have to understand..." she didn't know how to explain, so she struggled with the words, 'is that Fortunettes are so susceptible to the darkness- so anchored in a dual world of reality and of magic, that they are sometimes torn between them- torn between good and evil. Ais is still a darkling... and that means that she struggles with the dark magic that gave its hand to make her. We all pay that price, when we bring these remarkable children into the world. We accept the aid of dark magic, and say that we will protect them and guide them, until the dark magic has departed from them, and they have found a balance of the world they belong in."
She took a breath, watching the gypsy for a change in expression. Then she went on. "And Ais... has a harder time naturally, because she was a predator in her earlier form. She has a tendency to lean towards the darkness, which you have been helping her with remarkably. She was on such a road to light- to being a Fortunette Adult... but I have to tell you something. That burst of energy that... collapsed us all, and that struck Ais- she was protected, because she was still under that spell, but she did watch you suffer because of it. And she's now... afraid of me, and hates me. Because she knows what the burst was. It was a wall of Black Hate- a powerful, dangerous form of magic- she could sense it. And now... she holds some of that hate in her. It's very... dangerous." She said, ending softly.

Silver listened to all Val had to say quietly, nodding her head here and there, her eyes widening only ever-so-slightly at the word "dangerous". "Dangerous..." She said quietly. "How so? Do you mean it may be permanent? ...or that she may cause harm to someone?" There was an edge to Silver's voice that betrayed her otherwise calm visage. She was becoming increasingly worried - and the fact that Aisrhan had started growling again did not help.

In the dead of night, a small, brown figure scrabbles up the steps to Weathered Melody. Quickly she drops off her package, wrapped in purple and tied with twine. Inside is a gift for Aisrhan: a charm on a black leather thong to wear as a necklace.

She scuttles off, then, fearing she's woke the sensitive supine sleeper.

((Holy sheez, Mene. ^^;;; I never even knew you left that. gonk heart Thanks! ))
Silver noticed that it was beginning to get dark and decided it was time to light the lanterns hanging around Weathered Melody. Aisrhan sat on the floor, happily playing with the charm that had been mysteriously left for her a few weeks ago. Silver had a sneaking suspicion who had left it, but hadn't bothered to ask anyone. Aisrhan loved the little charm though, and wore it all the time. After lighting the lamps inside the wagon, Silver opened the door to hang a lantern outside her door, as she always did. The cool night air felt good against her skin. She debated taking Aisrhan for a night-time walk, but remembered that Ais wasn't too fond of the cold and decided to stay in and read her a story instead.

|xD Nada problema.|
Caroline, having nothing better to do on a rather blustery evening, had noticed the light in Weathered Melody. She bundles Rojiza up and scurries over to the wagon. She knocks thrice and waits for the door to be answered. Rojiza, not fond of the wind at all, fusses and attempts to burrow into her mother's clothing.

Silver was about to sit down with Aisrhan and a book when she heard someone knock on the door. She set down the book and looked at Ais. "Hang on sweetie. I'll be right back." Silver opened the door. "Caroline! Oh, and Rojiza too! Come in, come in!" Silver grinned. "How are you ladies this evening?" Ais slithered off of the bed and to the floor, making her way over to see what all the fuss was about.

'We're just fine this evening," says Caroline. "We just thought we'd pop by and see what you're up to. Isn't that right, querida?" she asks, bouncing Rojiza, who has leaned as far as possible over Caroline's arm to peer down at Aisrhan. She cocks her head and blinks twice. She then rocks back and forth and shakes her hips. Caroline obliges and puts her down next to Ais. Rojiza cocks her head again, still peering at the girl before her.

"Nothing much, really. Ais doesn't like the cold too much, being cold-blooded, you know, so I opted to stay in this evening for her sake. Would you care for something to drink?" Aisrhan looked at the little squirrel-girl sitting before her. "Ssssskirl?" She blinked and looked up at Silver. "Mmm?" Silver laughed. "This is Rojiza, and her mother, Caroline. Don't you remember Caroline?" Ais shook her head and poked Rojiza in the nose, curious about this new person. Then she grinned wickedly and pulled Rojiza's tail before quickly slithering off to hide under the bed.

Caroline nods. "I think I would. Do you have any tea, by chance?" Rojiza claps her hands. Tag! She scurries after Ais, looking to tag her back.

Silver's eyes widened. "Ais! That wasn't very ni-" she was in the process of scolding Ais for being so rude when Rojiza shot past her feet and darted after the girl, obviously thinking it was a game. "Yes, I just happen to have made some a little while ago." Silver chuckled and went to pour Caroline a cup of tea.
Aisrhan coiled herself beneath the bed and peered out at Rojiza who was scampering toward her hiding place. She waited until Rojiza was close and darted out at her, much like a snake would to capture it's prey, though she only giggle-hissed and tackled Rojiza playfully.
"Don't play too rough, Ais." Silver called from the other side of the wagon as she handed Caroline her tea.

Ro squeaks and giggles and chatters, rolling around with Ais. She shrieks, trying to push her off, but nearly helpless with laughter. Caroline smiles. "Thank you," she says as she accepts the tea. She smells it and closes her eyes blissfully. She sips it. "It's wonderful," she says heartily.

"You're very welcome." Silver ignored the girls for a moment to talk to Caroline. "How's everyone doing? I haven't really had a chance to speak to anyone in a while. I've been wondering how our new gypsies have been doing."
Aisrhan tumbled on the floor for a moment with Rojiza and then let her go. She pulled on Ro's tail again and made a funny sound in her throat as if to say "What IS that?"

"I'm not sure--Ro and I haven't been out much ourselves. We've mostly kept to our wagon, though Voltaire and Anjette did visit the other day," she says. "I too wonder how our newcomers fare." Ro shrugs a squirrelly shrug and pulls on Aisrhan's own tail. She makes her own brand of sound--a "Like that, only different" sort of noise.
