Dukes Bullet Rift Lemme put it this way: If the games suck a**, it doesn't matter if you can run up to 53497278 ultrahypermegapneumonotera textures or whatever at a time. Games make the system, not the hardware. And Nintendo doesn't steal from Sony. rofl  Oh of course not, they pay Sony for the technology, I never said it was stolen.
And last I checked Nintendo has yet to make a completely backwards compatible system. So their game library per system starts out smaller than Sony's from the start. Now then, if you mean the games released with the system, then yeah, Sony is a bit behind, but you're going to choose the system as being better based solely upon the first few games? Yes. Yes I am. Why else would I get a new system on the release date? Not to sell it, and why would I shell out money to play games I already own? Anyways, Nintendo's Wii is one generation backwards compatible, only because they're using discs. Wii can also download games from it's past generations, if for a small fee, so in a sense it is backwards compatible with all it's previous systems, even more so because Sega has given Nintendo it's rights on it's games.

Jeff Jarrett Who's idea was it to have the motion sensor controller? Nintendo. Who stole thie idea? Sony. So STFU. talk2hand ^ That is true Not just that, but I realize how great the PS3 is, however, I am not willing to pay 500-600 dollars for a game console. Especially since the games aren't that great right now. However, the Wii is only 250, 300(if you get the starter pack) and they already have a game out that I MUST have (the Zelda game) So, that's why I perfer the wii to the PS3.

I have nothing against Sony, but I'm going with Nintendo like I always do. I'm not a wizkid at all about what goes on behind it all so I won't say things like "The Wii is the BEST!" and such and such. Its all a matter of personal taste. I personally like Mario games and the simplicity of most nintendo games. Plus I honestly can't wait for Super Smash Bros. Brawl to come out.

I'd like to point out that if someone went against Dukes at ALL, he completly attacked them?
And also insulted everyone who said they like the Wii better. xDDD
*finds this funny*
I'm not going to get the Wii because I pay more attention to handheld, which means I'm currently attempting to squeeze a DS out of someone in my family (Yes, I KNOW I'm late). I like Nintendo's games WAY more, personally. Mario Bros...Pokemon....Harry Potter...LotR....
Oh, and you can play games from the original game boy on a DS. Soo I say neither Wii or PS3. =D Estellio Estel

I'm not going to get the Wii because I pay more attention to handheld, which means I'm currently attempting to squeeze a DS out of someone in my family (Yes, I KNOW I'm late). I like Nintendo's games WAY more, personally. Mario Bros...Pokemon....Harry Potter...LotR....
Oh, and you can play games from the original game boy on a DS. Soo I say neither Wii or PS3. =D Estellio Estel Ezzy likes handhelds best! Mostly cause it's hard to keep a Wii in a college dorm, and my GBA can just be set happily right under my bed.

The PS3 is a threequel. WHY GET THE SAME THING ONLY A BIT MORE IMPORVED AGAIN.
Wii is sex. Its amazing. Its all motion sensored and sexy and you will be able to buy the past NES and SNES and 64 games for it. AND AND THE PS3 IS SO BUGGY AND EXPENSIVE.
There arent enough Wii in the world to hoard over on EBAY
