((Just a note: even if it's mostly dialogue, try to describe your character's movements anyways, body language can help bring out your intent as well.))

The youth paused, tail twitching as he considered the offer, His gold eyes darted from the dragon to the surrounding scenery and back. "Faolan." He said finally, "My name is Faolan." He still eyed blazefyre warily, but seemed to have calmed down and no longer snarled at every word. suddenly he grinned, "So... you a Dimension Traveler then?" for the first time amusement danced in his eyes.

((dimensional magic is rare where YOUR character comes from. In this particular setting, Dimension Travelers are amazingly common, a small chunk of the populous has figured out how to travel themselves, but the already existing travelers from other dimensions are always ending up here... some people who AREN'T travelers get dragged here as well.))

Faolan shrugged, and even as he did his fur began to melt, his form straightened as the thick black coat disolved into the clothing he'd been wearing previously, and his face and figure rearanged before the dragon's eyes. "I don't need to know the secrets." He stated bluntly with a smirk, "I've seen plenty." He stretched a little glancing around the forest again. "I was hunting..." he muttered seeming to once again remember where he was, "... There's a Gadmir..." He turned back breifly to note that Blazefyre didn't know what that was, "A giant acid-spitting snake." he explained, "It's been terrorizing a local town... I was hired to take care of it." His gaze traveled over Blazefyre again and he smiled wryly, "Just for the record... we have dragons here. Some of them are worse than beasts."

((next 'break' as in next time we get a 'breather'... actually I had to wait until after class... ))

Faolan chuckled, "beast doesn't mean evil..." he paused and then shrugged, "You'll find out soon enough I'm sure." smirking and glancing around he laced his fingers behind his head in a gesture of languidity. "Gadmir's are very inteligent... not quite sentient... They are driven almost entirely by hunger," He paused again, toeing a rock idly, "Don't get hit by it's acid... that would be bad even for you." He sighed and dropped his hands back to his side, "At least it's not a loulger... they ARE sentient,... but they just don't care, and eat people anyways." Finally getting anxious, he began pacing around the area. "I don't know what to do about you..." He muttered as he thought, "You're new, so you're basically monster fodder as is... but I have to finish hunting the Gadmir... and you'd probably be more of a hindrance than a help with your current ignorance of these lands..." He sighed heavily, "This could be tricky."

Faolan laughed, but began to lead the way regardless, "I've heard that one before..." He chuckled to himself, and glanced back at goldblaze as he walked, "Just letting you know... even experienced Dimension travelers, and great warriors tend to underestimate the dangers of this land. ... ... Welcome to Matri Blazefyre." He muttered wryly, "If you're lucky we'll run across one of the famous ones. If we're not lucky we might run into the one of the immortal beasts of Misery... rumor has it Feralina's back to raiding towns again." At the mention of that beast he shivered, and brushed at one arm nervously. They passed through the trees at an even pace, Faolan wandering the forest almost soundlessly despite his thick leather boots.

Faolan chuckled again, but did not make a further comment about the immortal. "Alright... here's the deal. We have to track it, we have to be completely silent, and if he can't know we're coming, if he gets any incling we're here ... then he's gonna have exactly the same ambush plan. Preemptive is our only option. If he catches on first we're screwed." He informed the dragon matter-of-factly. "If you don't think you can sneak up on a nearly-sentient acid-spitting snake with better-than-human senses, speak up now, otherwise you'll just turn the both of us into reptile food."

Faolan smiled humorlessly, "That's the tricky part." He held a finger up to his lips and dropped his voice to a whisper, "I still have to find him...." He dropped into a prowling crouch sniffing the air cautiously and proceeded onward, he aimed his way through the large bushes, notably avoiding the clearings, the bushes contained thorns but Faolan wormed his way past with practiced ease. His eyes scanned the large trees warily, After a few moments he pulled to a stop, sniffing and listening, cocking his head to hear, after a few moments a shuffling noise scrubbed through the bushes and a rat with a furry tail, the size of a small dog raced past them, not even pausing to glance at the two humanoids, Faolan watched it run past and his eyes whipped up to the trees again. His crouch lowered and a small whimper growl issued from his throat. He kept moving but even more slowly and warily, his eyes scanned the trees more and more frantically, his nervousness got to the point that when the brushes rustled slightly and a larger form appeared he started whirling around with a snarl, the creature behind them didn't even bat an eye, it was an oversized "wolf" with scales in addition to fur, "RUN!" The wolf-creature growled, "It's right behind you!" And in the next moment it dashed off as well. Faolan paled and grabbed Blazefyre's arm. "RUN!" He snarled to the dragon-were. he himself bolted off through the brush, following the direction the wolf had gone, before they'd taken more than a handful of steps the werewolf yanked Blazefyre off-balance, mere moments before thick green liquid spattered the branches and ground where they had just been, the Acid ate through the foliage so quickly one couldn't follow it's path. Faolan didn't give the dragon a chance to regain his footing before he yanked him off again racing through the trees, there was another spatter and the hiss of acid behind them, and the rank smell of disolving matter filled their noses as they ran.

Freed of the responsibility of dragging Blazefyre out of danger Faolan picked up his speed, running full tilt until he hit a large clearing, at which point he launched himself forward, shifting in mid-air and coming down as a Black wolf even larger than the one who had warned them. His size rivaled a panther and he raced off through the trees not glancing behind him. Hopefully Blazefyre would have gotten the hint and gone well enough away, and if luck was with the shifting dragon he wouldn't run into something even worse.
