"Yes, hopefully it won't be too cold," said Randee with a smile. "Your home? What happened to it? You talk about it in past-tense. Are you looking for a place to live?" Randee tilted her head, thinking the stallion was becoming more suspicious by the second. Was this stallion wandering around and not ever settling down? It seemed all so strange to Randee.

"There was a fire..." He let his head hang, closing his eyes as vibrant images flashed through his mind. "No, I'm not looking for a place to live. I'm settling here just fine on the planes..." He couldn't settle in one place. If he settled he might miss his moment to avenge the deaths of those he loved... Or, perhaps, find the soul of his love that had escaped. Maybe she was wandering the world searching for him as he searched for her...

"What happened?" asked Randee, now growing curious about the stallion. The stallion was so mysterious and creepy, yet, also very hypnotic; Randee felt as if the stallion's life would be an interesting story to hear. No doubth, a stallion fogged with so much mystery must have an interesting past.

He hadn't told anyone his story since coming to this new part of the land... And he didn't know what was compelling him to tell it now. Perhaps it was the mare who seemed to frightened and lost herself, even if she knew where she was.
"The herd... My herd... Lived on plains covered in high grasses. A tribe of those who walk on two legs provided protection for the mares and foals when the stallions went on the hunt with their men." He shook his head slowly, letting it hang a bit lower. "A bad tribe came. They set fire to the plains. The grasses were dry and caught quickly. The Spirits would not send the rains."
"Crow has been with me ever since."

"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that," said Randee, almost feeling pity for the stallion, despite how spooky the setting around her was. "I understand what it is like to those everything in a moment, in a blink of an eye. When I was a young foal, my family was all attacked by a small group of mountain lions. They were all killed, I was the lone survivor. As for me, well, I had Leah with me ever since, until just recently. She's my companion."
"We have somewhat similar pasts, I suppose," said Randee with a smile.
