The stallion paused for several moments, weighing up the choices. Anything that involves running would be unfair, he only has little legs. "Alright then, how about hide and seek?" Lucius suggested, scarce able to beleive that he was actually about to start playing foal games with a colt he'd only just met.
Well, life is there to be enjoyed I suppose; no harm in a little childishness now and again. Besides, this was simply making up for lost games in his youth.
"Are you going to hide first or am I?" the Aeri asked over another rumble of thunder.

Oh, good choice He thought to himself as he tossed his head back to movine his forlocks. "Hide and seeks sounds great!" He declared.
He thought about it for a moment and then nodded.
"I'll hide! Close your eyes and count to ten!" Dysis said as he troted around, waiting for him to start counting, so that he wouldn't see where the colt would head off in.

"Very well," Lucius smiled, "I think that this will be enjoyable."
The Aeri wondered berifly if his larger sized would hinder him in the game. After deciding that it probably would, but that he wasn't really playing to win; he shut his featureless orange eyes tightly.
"One," he began. "Two, three..."

He watched at the Aeri closed his eyes and began to count. With that, Dysis snorted and turned to gallop across the clearing to the other edge of the forest. He looked over to a large tree and slowed to a trot.
Givign it a curious look, he jumped and fluttered to a branch, then to the other, since they looked strong enough to support, though he was sittign ackwardly.
Dysis chuckled and waited.

"...Nine, ten. Right; I'm coming to look for you now." The black aeri opened his eyes just in time to be momentarily blinded by a flash of lightning but within a few moments he was cating around for some clue as to the foal's location.
It didn't take him long to spot what he was looking for. Hoofprints; excellent. Smiling to himself, Lucius followed the little trail of prints on the wet ground into the trees.
It wasn't long however, before the trail petered out. The red-maned Aeri frowned and cast around. Damn, he must have flown off somewhere.
Muttering to himself, the stallion began to search the surrounding area, hoping that the little one hadn't gone far.

Dysis did his best to stay quiet as he watched the Aeri search around below him. He wiggled his nose as water slowl driped down it tickling him. The colt held his breath but couldn't help sneezing.
He frooze, hoping the rain might've covered his noise. Dysis wondered what would happen if the larger Aeri dind't find him, however doubtful that would be.

The tiny sneeze made Lucius start slightly and he wheeled about, ears twitching in an attempt to discover where the noise had come from. "Ah!" he cried triumphantly as his orange eyes settled on the foal in the branches above his head.
"Found you," he said unnecessarily. "I probably wouldn't have bothered to look up in the branches in you hadn't sneezed," he smirked at the younger Nequus. “Is it my turn to hide now?” he went on, wondering quietly where in the world he could conceal his considerable bulk.

Dysis hopped down from the tree, stumbling some as he landed. "Oh drat, and I had a good space too" The colt laughed.
"ok ok, you hide." Dysis said as he closed his eyes, and lowered his head some and began to count. "One...two...three...."

The stallion turned aside as the colt began counting and thundered off through the trees. Where in the heck am I supposed to go? he thought as his orange eyes darted about for a Lucius-sized hiding place. Being large definitely had its disadvantages at times.
Ah-ha! the Aeri skidded to a halt beside a patch of trees who’s evergreen branches meshed loosely all the way to the ground and wormed his way into the expanse of fresh smelling greenness. Thus concealed, he settled down to wait for the colt to find him. He didn't expect it to take very long but at least he'd made the effort.

"10! Ready or not, here I come!" Dysis declared. The bae colt snifted the air as he walked. He laughed softly as he went, trying to find the large Aeri. He stoped for a moment, looking around. He was surrounded by thick areas of trees, and clumped branches. There was a feeling in the back of his mind that he should be there.
Dysis snorted and He saw two shadows. One of these has to be him. He turned to one and pawed the ground some and charged at the trees. However, it seeme dhe had chosen wrong, as he was abrputly stoped by hitting a hidden tree trunk. He fell back some and onto his butt, shaking his head. "Oww."

Lucius smirked to himself in the shadows and contrived to remain still. He was fairly sure that the colt would find him soon but the point of the game was to remain hidden for as long as possible. Even if it was only a few moments before the youth discovered him it would be worthwhile.
Hide and seek, the big Aeri decided, was very enjoyable. Slightly juvenile perhaps but that was half the fun. After all, if one was forever serious and 'grown-up' doubtless the strain would make one either go mad or make one horribly monotonous company.

The colt quickly got to it's feet and turned to the other trees. "aha!" He said cantering quickly toward it. This time, to avoid injury, went around the tree clump to see Lucius's rear in his face. Dysis snorted and lightly tugged his tail.
"Found you!" he said laughing.

The red-maned Aeri gave a soft snort and backed out, shaking bits of foliage from his coat as he did. "Alright, you got me," he said to the cheerful foal once he had managed to extract himself from his hiding place.
Another flash of lightning lit the sky, closely followed by a loud boom of thunder. The orange-eyed Nequus smiled briefly at the overhead display, wondering as he always did what caused such impressive weather as this. Any weather for that matter. Where did the wind come from? What was it made of? What made the sun rise in the day and the stars at night?
Lucius shook himself from his wonderings and looked back down at the young Bae. "So, do we play again?"

Dysis shook out his mane a tail with a delighted snort before looking up at the sky when teh lighting flashed across. He had almost forgotten it was raining.
"We can play again if you want. Usually we keep going until we get really tired and fall asleep, because we play in a large group lots of running and chasing and stuff, because we cheat." Dysis said with a horsey smirk.

Lucius looked thoughtfully at the sky for a moment before transferring his gaze back to Dysis. "Perhaps we could play some kind of chasing game now? I'm bigger than you and so faster but the trees will get in my way a lot where as you can dodge around them... sound agreeable?"
Perhaps one day he'd get to join in one of the big group hide and seek or chase games. Things involving lots of people sounded like they'd be a lot of fun.
