He was doing well? He managed a small smile to the comment before trying to flat his wings more to support his own weight. He had to do well though. To show his brother that he could do it. That he was good at something. Even if it did mean getting a bit tired.
And what good was, was really just the fact that Revon followed instructions as best he could. He'd been told to behave and listen so he was. They'd said to flap his wings so he did. It didn' particularly mean he was good at it yet. Just that he knew how to do what he was told.
He nodded at the idea of moving around, since that must have been the purpose of this. Besides, if it was easier, it couldn't be that hard.

Ligeia smiled then started to flap shifting them so that they started to move around in a lazy circle, "If we are lucky we will fing a nice air current. Then all we have to do is glide." Those were always nice, made it easier for them to be able to be a little lazy while flying. Let the currents to the job for them, "Gliding is the best part of flying. You just open your wing and basically do no real work at all and you gradually go down to the ground, best way to land too."

Revon didn't understand the adjustments he needed to make with his wings to glide until he was partially being dragged. Which wasn't so great, and he ended up having to quickly try to mimic the other's wings to save from ending up falling. Because he didn't want to fall.
An air current. He frowned trying to recall what that was. Hadn't he seen something like that in a book Haruki was reading one day? He'd ask more about it later. But if it made this easier, it sounded good.So he was all for these wind currents. Also, it meant it was easier to land. Well, easier landings had to be good, but at the same time. Didn't landing mean the part where he fell ont he ground? So it would be the part that hurt. But still, if it was the best way... maybe it would hurt less.

"Sorry about that, didn't think we would hit a current so quickly." Ligeia said, flapping his wings to slow them down to allow Revon to get used to the sensation of gliding, "Do you want to keep flying or do you want to go down to the ground?" He asked of him as they moved about in slow, lazy circles through the air.
This was a nice feeling, he'd never been able to go out flying with anyone but Vorel, to do so with another kid was just... enjoyable. Maybe he should try to do this more often. There was Anoki, hadn't he told him they would go flying when they were little? The thought struck him and he decided to go back to that when he was no longer helping out in his father's class.

He didn't mind it so much. He'd managed to adjust, so it was alright with the whole getting left behind a bit. It wasn't like he'd crash landed. It was the next bit that became a problem.
Go down? He quickly frowned at that. "D-don't. N-no f-fall-ing." He quickly stuttered out. Obviouslythat wasn't the best of suggestions to make to the child. Not the best at all. Because at the idea of falling to the ground he quickly forgot why he was flapping his wings. And instead returned to kicking his legs a bit in fear as if he was falling. "N-no f-falling!" His wings might have been moving, but the wild pattern did nothing for keeping him up. If anything his frenzy would cause exactly what he didn't want to happen. It might have already been to late to save it, but his mind didn't register that much. All it saw was 'fall' and that he was scared of it.
There went the peaceful class.

And things had been going so well too Orpheus thought to himself as he saw the raven started to falter, flap erraticly, then fall from the air. He took a couple of rushing steps forward and opened up his arms to catch the boy before he met with the ground, "Phew, gottca. You ok?"
"Revon!" Ligeia cried gliding over and landed running, moving over to the smaller bird as his father set him down on his own feet, "Revon are you alright? I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you!" He said, sounding quite worried over him. What had gone wrong? Maybe he'd been scared over landing, Ligeia should have kept hold of him and felt guilty over letting him fall like that.

He let out a slight shriek as he felt himself suddenly plummet. Then fwoomp. He was stopped. He hadn't fallen very far, but it didn't matter much. The boy was shaking slightly even as he was set on his own feet. It didn't take long for him to sink down onto the ground with a few tears welling up in his eyes. He didn't want to fall. Falling was scary.
Falling meant you could die.
Haruki had explained that it was dangerous after he'd been brought back when Talia went missing. So he was afraid of it. He didn't want to die. He didn't want to fall. A sniffle escaped him as he glanced up fearfully at the two people. It wasn't really their fault, but... "I... d-dun wa-wanna f-f-fall. N-not li-like t-t-the ca-can-yon." He folded his wings around himself slumping downa bit more. The ground was safe. He couldn't fall down on the ground.

Ligeia knelt down in front of Revon, he wasn't sure what he meant about the canyon but it sounded almost like he'd fallen before? Ligeia blinked a couple times then felt that much more guilty before he wrapped his arms around wings around the smaller bird, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to let you fall." He said.
Orpheus lifted a hand to his head, well this proved it. Flying classes were cursed. He wondered if Tessa would notice if suddenly he sent all the flying kids her way...
"Come on you two. How about we call the class as done? Revon flew which was what he was sent here to do. So he passes." No need for either of them to go back up now, while there was that whole 'get back on the horse after falling off' thing Orpheus wasn't about to make a tramuatized kid go back to doing what scared him so much.

He was still shaking a bit even as the older boy hugged him. He remembered falling and just seeing a pit of endless empty below him. Far, far down. Rocks and the wind. He didn't want to fall again. He hadn't meant to mess up, he'd wanted to be good. But he couldn't help, but be afraid of that. Falling could be death. Death was scary. He didn't want to fall. It was a circular logic that always led back to it all being too frightening to handle well.
Revon glanced up at the owl as he spoke, dragging a hand up to wipe at his eyes and remove the bits of water. Leaking was bad. Keivlos said leaking was bad. "S-so-ry... d-dn't m-ean t' m-ss u-up." He hiccuped a bit due to crying as he tried to speak. Glancing down he tried to duck his head as much as he could He didn't like messing up. He wanted to be good.
He'd only been bad.
Passing didn't mean he'd done good.

Ligeia shook his head, "No, no you didn't mess up. If anyone did I did." He assured him, he looked up to his father. Orpheus seemed to understand the look and he gave a smile. "Yes, believe me you did a lot better then some that take my flying classes. I once had a girl who feel ON Ligeia." He told him, trying to think of some of the other classes, some of the funnier moments to try to cheer Revon up. He dug into his pocket, producing a gem at the end of the ribbon and swung it in front of the boy. He wondered if ravens were like crows and liked shiny things, "Here. Your gift for surviving my class and learning how to fly. Even if you were a bit shaky at the end you did really well. You flew Revon. All on your own."

He blinked, eyeing the other child curiously. But he'd been the one to not flap his wings. To fall. How had this been theother boy's fault? He could almost hear Keivlos' words ranting about how Revie was a stupid bird. One that couldn't fly. Asking him what kind of bird couldn't fly. The boy flinched at the words in his head. He dug his chin into his chest closing his eyes. He'd tried this to make Keivlos proud. Now he'd just be upset with him.
The story that the teacher was telling was funny though. Someone fell on Ligeia? He blinked at the child, then the teacher. That couldn't be right. Wouldn't falling on someone hurt? He shifted his wings slightly to peek out more at the others. Especially when something of reddish hue came into sight. It gleamed slightly pink too. Even if he didn't have much of an urge to horde things, the object screamed for his attention. Because it was in such a shape and color that it was impossible for him not to like it.
He couldn't help but stare a bit after the teachers statement. It was for him? For flying? But he hadn't...
"You should thank him." The usual tone that was used by the guardian called out. If anything he was good at explaing to Revon how he should react.
"T-thank you." But he couldn't fly yet. So he couldn't wear it. Even if it was pretty. Still, he smiled as he took the gem and stared at it. "O-once I c-can f-fly... p-properly. T-then I c-can wear it." He mumbled more to himself than anyone else. It was pretty, like a necklace. He didn't have anything like that yet. It was a really nice gift to get.
Haruki raised an eyebrow at the statement. "Hmm? Did something happen?" Obviously Revon hadn't flown to his own expectations so..?

"It was my father's first flying class and a bit of a disaster." Ligeia whispered to Revon then grinned, "It was alright though since I sorta... ahh... caught her." He hadn't minded since he really hadn't been hurt.
Orpheus turned at the sound of the other adult's voice and it was all he could do not to flush at the fact that he'd been caught with another flying mishap. Luckily Revon's words caught his attention, "Your welcome."
Ligeia rose to his feet offering a had to Revon.
"Just a little fall at the end of the flying instead of a perfect landing, not to bad really." Orpheus told Haruki, since it hadn't been a fall that involved biting or someone crashing into Ligeia or any of the other happenings in his various flying class he would still count it as a good day. After all he'd caught Revon so that had to count for something, "He still passed though as he did the flying part of the exercise." The part that the class was based around.

Revon almost wanted to laugh at that bit, but it might have been rude. So he held his tongue. Falling to be caught. He'd done that too. So... maybe it wasn't too unusual for a first time. Still, not until he was better. He had to be good to earn something.
Taking the other boy's hand that was offered to him he stood up a bit shakily, still not all right from the fall as he nodded at Haruki to confirm the statement. If the teacher said it, it had to be true enough. He kept saying it afterall.
"Ah, I see." Well that could have been worse. And he had passed, which was the important part of things. "Well as long as he did his best and wasn't lazy I suppose it's fine." He wanted to expect perfection from the child, but obviously he couldn't. Not quite yet anyway. Haruki hoped he could soon. Until then though, he'd have to bear with it. Revon's dragile self esteem didn't need him breaking it more. Keivlos did enough of that as it was. "Good job, Revon." Good enough. He didn't smiel as he said it, simply crossed his arms as if expect the child to bound over to head back to his office. That was how things worked though.
Revon beamed at the few words. It didn't matter if the tone was the same as usual. Good and bad words sounded the same from Haruki. So he just needed to listen to them well. He quickly wobbled over to his keep before pausing to turn around. Hooking one arm into a handful of the black shirt his keeper work. Just for safety reasons. "I-I'll practice. I'll be g-good s-so I c-can wear t-this n-next time I... I come." He nodded a bit toward the pair who'd been trying to teach him to fly. Leaning slightly against Haruki's legs for support.
Yes, he'd get better so he could wear the lovely necklace before he came again.
"Thank you both, I'll be going now with Revon." He stated in that same tone as he glanced down at the child. Both hands raised in the silent classic plee of 'carry me' instantly. He really was spoiling the boy now, but he didn't want to take forever to get back to the office and Revon hadn't seemed to stable.
Falling had obviously shaken him so... Defeat. Haruki was often seeing defeat in the face of Revon's petty childish requests these days. Perhaps that was just part of getting used to being a parent- He stopped himself at that and simply obliged to plucking up the lightweight child and shifting him so that he could throw his arms around his neck before starting out.
At least Revon got to wave goodbye to the nice teacher and bird before he went. His lovely little goal swaying as he did.
