Sheridan smiled down at the mare, his love for her was eternal like the flames themselves as the danced in the fire pit that lit the village. "Of corse... I would be delighted to spend this night by your side as I have longed to for so long." he nuzzled her gently and began to walk with her back to the village. He would stay with her as long as he possably could.. although there was already a sence of urgancy reguarding the mountains. Something reguarding their children that had taken a liking to that sacrid place where the two leggers scarcly went.

His brown nitted and he shook whatever thought was buzzing in the back of his mind free. He knew they where strong and could take care of themselves....Still....if when he left there was no word from their children he would seek them out. Besdies it wold be nice to hear from them again.

Ardia felt her heart rise again; joy, joyful at the thought of spending time with Sheridan once more. Safety in the Village, safe and loved. She couldnt think of a better way to pass the night.
If she knew his thoughts though; that he was thinking of his mountain home already, of returning. Sheridan would likely see a sharp side to Ardia for she had been alone for too long.
They arrived at the fireside and she took her place beside him once more, her tail moving slowly, batting against him.
'I hope our children are well..' she said after a while.

Sheriden felt guilty for a moment, he had only just arrived and met with his love. He walked with her silently to the village and laid with her in the firelight. He nuzzled her gently, his touch gentle as the winds caress. "I'm sure they are fine... Why dont you come with me... To find them?" He asked her after a moment...as it was clear she was wondering as much about their children as he was.

Ardia watched the flickering flames in silence, a thrill of fear at the question that Sheridan had asked. Would she dare venture into the mountain? She wanted to see her lifemate's home sure, she wanted to see her children, but was she daring enough to go so far from the only home she really remembered?
'If you can put up with my slow pace..' she said after a time.
'I've never been in the mountains, I won't be sure footed as I am sure you are.'

Sheridan smiled at her with an expression of utter love as the pale flames flickered over them sending the shadows dancing across his strong features. "I will be with you every step of the way, I would walk to the mountain and back a hundred times for you Ardia. Im just honored you would even try. I know... its outside of your comfort zone, my princess."

She leant against him a little, still watching the fire.
'In the morning then? I think I will be braver in the daylight, and I imagine its more dangerous to travel over them in the dark.'
She fell quiet again, thinking of what she would see...her other daughter, her only son. Her fears were managable because she missed her children and wanted to see what fine adults they must have become.

Sherdian nuzzled his head into her mane and smiled. "In the morning. Besides, I wouldnt want to lead you away into the dark of night. I couldnt be more content than right here in this moment....Have I ever told you... The fire in your eyes surpasses even the living flames before us? " He smiled at her, in his handsome fasion, it was so good to be beside her again.

'I dont believe so,' she said with a small chuckle.
'Then again you say so many florid things, I couldnt possibly keep count of them.'
Ardia nudged his side, gently swishing her tail against him to show she was teasing.
'I'm glad though. A night like tonight is for spending by the fire, in the company of the most handsome stallion I have ever met.'

'Under a sea of stars in the black night that shine in evny of the mare by my side. ' he said to her with a grin as her tail brushed against his side. He laid his head against hers, touching his muzzle against her velvet softness. He stared into her eyes and wondered, with a pain in his heart how he had kept himself away from such a kind and caring soul, his soul mate. 'I'm never going to leave you again.." he said softly, a lamentation, but he couldnt bare the lonelyness of the mountains...it would only bring him sorrow to be up there with out her again.

Ardia giggled;
'As I said..' she lipped his side gently. Even his funny way of talking she had missed.
'As you say. But I could never ask you to leave a place that you call home in any way.' she sighed, her tail gently swishing.
'I guess that at some point in the future we shall have to part for a time again, but it doesnt bear thinking about.'
Ardia frowned, her nose wrinkling a little. One adventurous stallion, and one homebody mare. Opposites certainly did attract but sometimes it was hard to realise that because of who they both were, they had to spent time apart.

Sheridan chuckled at the chocolate mare beside him and nuzzled her gently. "well by the morning light we'll depart, but at lest I have you here and by my side now. " He grew silent for awhile, the wind quietly rustling through the trees at their backs and sending the fire leaping into the sky. Burning embers danced light stars in the up draft only to fall harmlessly to the ground seconds after.

"Ardia." he said at length and turned his gaze away from the fire. "I've grown too old with out you at my side... I wont be going to the mountains again with out you." The moutains where like a sirens song to the proud stallion, he had so much freedom up there that he could spend months at a time with out a care, and that was the danger. That was what had kept him from his love. He wouldnt do that to her anymore, it wasnt fair.

'For until you tire of me,' Ardia said suddenly and cheekily. She bumped against him as she said so, her wavy tail flicking him as well. They fell silent, easy in each other's company. She felt a little flutter of nerves at the though of the morning's journey though and when he spoke again she jumped slightly.
'I..dont know what to say. Thank you.' she said, light of heart and with much happiness in her voice. She knew it must be a hard decision to make, his going to the Mountains was a sort of freedom for him.
'Well..we have the night. We should,' she looked up at him with a suprisingly sly expression.
'Make the most of it.' and she lipped neck very gently.
