Donat nodded, and tugged on the rope a little, then put the sole of one of his sneakers against the wall. Then he pulled himself up a little and put his other shoe on the wall, too. And, as instructed, he slid the clasp up the rope a little.
"Like this?" he asked as he stepped up the surface of the wall a little more, sliding the clasp after him until he was about three feet off the ground.

"Exactly like that, good job." He said before going over to the other rope to get himself ready for the climb. He looked up then gave a smile, "Alright, been a little while since I have been building climbing but man does this bring back memories."
He climbed up the first few feet, "This should be fun huh?" He slid back down to the ground to pick up a bag from the ground and put it on his back. He then started up again, "The bag has water and snacks in it for on the way up, if you need anything just tell me."

Donat glanced back at he ground, then let go of the rope with both hands. Sure enough, he only fell a few inches before the line to his harness was taut, leaving him hanging.
Ignoring the shocked face his father was almost certainly making, he giggled a little, then nodded to Mister Orpheus.
"Okay, I'm ready to go," the goat said, curling his fingers around the rope again. Then he put his sneakers against the concrete and climbed another step up, moving the clasp up.
"Bye, dad," Donat added with a grin, glancing back to wave at his father before resuming his climb.
Kumoru waved back. "Have fun!"

Orpheus couldn't help but laugh as the goat tested out his words by releasing the rope. He supposed that it made sense for him to want to make sure that his teacher was telling the truth before he was several stories above the ground and he slipped, "Alright. And we are off. We will take our first break after we go up three maybe four stories for some water how does that sound?" He asked of Donat, starting the climb slowly himself not going any faster then Donat was going.

"Okay," Donat said with a nod, keeping his attention focused on the wall and the rope. It was a little hard to hold onto the rope with only four fingers, but his grip had gotten stronger to accommodate for his lack of his thumb. He may never be able to thumb-wrestle, but damned if he would let it keep him from doing anything else!

They were moving at a pretty good pace for this being the first time that the boy did this and the fact that he had a couple of things that you would think would hold him back. Yet the problem he had with his back and his lack of thumbs wasn't going to do that it, Orpheus was impressed.
"Not doing to bad." He said, it was the windows that he was counting, finding a lot of closed shades and empty rooms while others had people inside as they went up. They stopped at the fourth story as it had empty rooms in front of them. Less likely they would be noticed this way, "Alright, first water break." He told to Donat, digging into his bag to get out a water bottle, handing it over to the boy, "We only have a few bottles so we have to ration them." He warned, not to scare him but so that he would know not to gulp it all down while they still had a long climb ahead of them.
(( Progress: 4 floors.
Hope you don't mind the skipping along but this way we will get them going along their climb. ^_^ ))

Donat nodded, letting go of the rope and allowing himself to dangle while he took the bottle. "Thanks. I'm not too thirsty yet, though. And I don't want to drink a lot anyway so I don't have to go potty partway up." The goat giggled. "I think that would be bad."
He glanced down along the rope that trailed below him. "Four floors, right? We got thirty?" Donat took another sip of water. "We can keep going in a minute. Do you want me to give back the water when I'm done so we can climb again?"

Orpheus did his best to keep from laughing at that idea though he failed miserably, "I doubt anyone would be amused by someone peeing off the side of the building." He agreed.
"Anytime your ready we can get get going once again and I can take the bottle back from you." He said, not wanting it to accidently fall. Lets see, four stories hadn't been that hard so they would try to get to ten this time before they stopped again unless Donat called for a break.

Nodding, Donat took another messy gulp and swallowed it, then wiped some of the water off of his mouth with the back of his hand. Taking the rope in both hands again and curling his fingers tightly around it, he put his shoes to the wall again, and continued working on inching up the wall.
By the time they reached their next break, though, Donat could feel his lower back starting to twinge a little. It did not quite hurt, but it was definitely a little uncomfortable. The goat was not about to say anything about it, though; he glanced over at Mister Orpheus when they stopped again, to see if he had noticed it; he did not think there was any real difference in the way he was moving, though.
"'bout halfway now, right?" he asked with a grin as he shook hair slightly damp with sweat out of his eyes.

Orpheus nodded his head, "Yep, halfway there now." He said, looking up to the roof seeing his son and Vorel much easier now then back down to the ground. He looked over to Donat, "How are you doing? Still want to keep going?" He was keeping a close eye on him since he had the problem with his back and he didn't want for Donat to strain himself. After all they were pretty high up and he was sure that they could count anywhere from here to the top as passing.
There was nothing in the rules of teaching that said push your student until they dropped.... well maybe the battle classes but not HIS class.

Letting himself dangle from the clasp again, Donat rubbed the small of his back with his knuckles. "No, I want to get to the top," he insisted. "Besides, it's just as far up from down here, right, since we're in the middle?" The goat was quiet for a moment, considering, before he added, "And it's easier to say 'I climbed D-corp' than to say 'I climbed halfway up D-corp and then came back down', don't you think?"
He was not so sure he would have another chance at this anytime soon, besides. He could just lie down for a while when he was done and then his back would not hurt again.

Orpheus nodded his head after taking it all into consideration, "Alright, we will continue our climb, will take it slowly though so as not to put to much strain on you." He was sure that the accomplishment of making it all the way to the top would be something that be nice for Donat as well.
He looked up then to the boy, "How about another five stories before our next break? Take it by fives and it won't take to long but there will be plenty of times for you to rest up." A break at twenty, one at twenty-five, and then again on the roof where he would get his best break and would be able to look over the side of the building. And spit if he wanted too.

"Alright," Donat replied with a nod and a determined smile.
He took a bit of a longer break at twenty than he had at fifteen, and he had to stop again at twenty-four. Hanging again, he winced a little and rubbed at his back again. It was a little different than walking, since the weight was all sitting differently. His legs were only just starting to feel tired, at least, but the goat still had to take a lengthy break.
"I can do this," he assured Mister Orpheus. "Just give me a few minutes to take a break. Can I have another drink of water, please?"

Orpheus nodded getting out the bottle of water and handed it over to him, "I am sure you can. Your doing really, really well Donat. It won't be that much longer and you will be at the top. The first student ever that can say he climbed up D-Corp."
Ligeia leaned over the edge of the building to look down, he could see his father and his student much more clearly now. He lifted an arm and waved it, "Your almost here!" He yelled down to them.
Orpheus looked up to his son then gave a smile as he turned to Donat, "He doesn't count. He flew up there."

Taking a sip of water helped the goat feel a little better. The encouragement helped lift his spirits as well. Laughing as he lowered the bottle from his lips, he looked upwards and waved to Ligeia. Donat had not met the owl before, but he figured he could as soon as he made it to the top!
Looking upwards made his back twinge a little, so Donat was forced to turn his attention back to the wall after a moment. He chewed a little on the rim of the bottle before taking another sip. Then he tried to screw the cap back on, only to have it slip from his fingers.
The boy swayed precariously on his rope as he made a grab for the bottle cap, but could not manage to catch it. With a sheepish smile, he watched it plummet twenty-four stories to hit the pavement below.
"Oops."
